Dear Mr. Lee: Thank…read moreyou so very much for your excellent service on my Honda Pilot. My experience with your shop has far surpassed any other shop I have ever taken my vehicle to--even shops in the Atlanta area where my family knows the owner well. I especially appreciate your flexibility with diagnosing the problem by communicating with constantly while I was in town for a trial in Oxford. Your shop brings customer service to a new level. I can't believe that I came into town, discovered a transmission problem that prevented me from being able to drive home at the end of the week, got it to you on a Tuesday afternoon, and you had a fully-functioning brand new transmission installed and ready to go by Friday afternoon. No problem you encountered stopped you. I so appreciate your (and Moe's) willingness to stay late and come in early, until 8:00 p.m. and at 4:30 a.m. to get me back home. I have never experienced such kindness from a stranger. Not only were your prices VERY reasonable with a solid warranty, you made it your personal mission to get me back on the road safely without ever having met me. That is truly impressive. One of the most touching things was your follow up call to me on Monday morning to make sure I made it home safely. There's a reason you've been in business and as successful as you are for so many years. If I lived in Oxford, I would refuse to take my cars elsewhere if they needed transmission work. Thank you for a great experience! Sincerely, Atlanta Area Attorney

Absolutely, positively, without a question, make Danny Thweatt who you call if you're having…read moretransmission problems in or around Southaven. Hell, my fiancee (only half-jokingly) said she'd be willing to drive to his shop for any auto-related issues that might pop up on us from now on. And we live in Nashville. No kidding. These guys are pro-level mechanics. We limped into Memphis for the last fifty miles due to the transmission in my fiancee's 2012 Nissan Cube causing the car to "surge" in RPM's, while decelerating even if the pedal was pegged to the floorboard. We'd pull over and read Nissan forums for ten or so minutes every time, then crank it up and make it another ten or so miles down the road. We decided to skip the concert we'd driven to Memphis for and try to make it to our room in Tunica and get some sleep so we could wake up yesterday morning (Saturday, July 8th) and start trying to get the car into the Nissan dealership in Southaven. Every place we stopped at or called on the way into Memphis told us we pretty much had no other choice but to take it to a Nissan dealership due to the CVT transmission, and the fact that even the transmission fluid isn't owner-serviceable. We started calling the Service department at Landers Nissan at 7 AM sharp, but didn't actually get anyone on the phone until 8:30. This was after countless calls, a few voice mails, and the loss of a lot of patience. When the operator finally got someone in Service to talk to us, we were told they were booked solid. After explaining that we're from out of town and needed the transmission fluid changed by the end of the day so that we'd be able to make it back home to Nashville, the Service Department rep speaking to my fiancee said we could just come in and they'd hopefully be able to get to us, but there was at least a six hour wait. Fortunately I'd also been calling other transmission shops in the area, and that's when I got David from Thweatt's on the other end of the line. And we were in good hands from that point on. I explained our disastrous trip into Memphis from Nashville, and that I'd done a lot of Googling and reading forums while on the side of the road. The consensus from other Nissan Cube / Nissan with the CVT owners with the exact same problem was that there was an issue with transmission fluid pressures that caused the car to "surge and decelerate" at any speed, but particularly at highway speeds. David said he wasn't sure if they'd be able to change our transmission fluids for us, but he'd ask his boss, Danny. He did, and said they might possibly be able to get us taken care of, after he confirmed they could get the parts needed from the dealer to get it done. Of course the transmission fluid required is a special fluid manufactured for Nissan CVT transmissions, and there is a very particular procedure requiring proprietary tools and equipment to do it, so I just hoped for the best when David said he'd call me back after procuring what they'd need to change the fluids. Twenty minutes later, Danny called. He informed me that there was a Class Action lawsuit against Nissan over the faulty CVT transmissions, and since ours qualified with the mileage requirements, it would be in our best interest to have a Nissan dealership do any work associated with the car. My heart sank, and I had a lead ball in my stomach when I told him I'd take a chance with all that once we get back to Nashville, and I literally just needed a fluid change to get us home and that the Nissan dealership wasn't really helping us, so we were desperate. He said "Well come on in then. We'll handle it for you and get you home". A hero is what Danny Thweatt is. A hero with tools and car lifts instead of a cape. We made it into the shop, and were told to just come back in an hour and a half. David told us all our options for eating within walking distance, and told us we were welcome to come sit in the air-conditioned office instead. And that we could sit in the only two chairs they had in the office, each at their respective desk. We politely declined, and went to grab lunch across the road instead. You honestly can't find more polite, hospitable, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional mechanics anywhere in my opinion. This has gone on too long, so I'll wrap it up by saying this: Danny did get our transmission fluid changed, and replaced the gasket and filter kit. He recorded the code that the OBD displayed before he started so that we'd be able to provide Nissan with any pertinent information to start the transmission replacement process as part of the Class Action against it. He showed us the metal flakes in the transmission fluid pan that exhibited some serious damage to the CVT. All in all, it took a few hours; but we made it home last night. And I'll tell anyone I can that Danny Thweatt is an absolute pro, and he's one of the few out there that cares about his work, and takes great pride in doing his job well. Thank you Danny. A++
