As a repeat customer, they do send coupons regularly in your email. Mine expired as of 12/27/25 but the tech pointed me to some coupons available online. I was able to get $15 off my synthetic oil service today.

I would have to make an appointment and drive to the furthest corner of Bakersfield. It typically was not a quick task. Getting your oil changed is a necessity but when it turns into a daunting chore, I just want to give up. The Valvoline on White Lane is the most convenient to me and the hours are a bit longer than other locations. All pluses. Another thing I like about Valvoline is that there are other locations, so if my errands take me other places I can drop in where it is convenient that day. Brilliant! You just show up and wait your turn. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but you wait in your car. I catch up on emails. There are always things to catch up on. When it's your turn, you have all the attention and they take care of a lot of things you may have deferred. They will check your light and filters. The last time I went, they changed the windshield wipers. I can do that myself but it was awesome to have it done for me. They are friendly, professional and attentive. There is typically a coupon on the company's website. That is something you can search for when you are waiting. It is a percentage off or $10-$15 off depending on the service or type of oil. It always comes out to be a reasonable cost and don't forget to factor in your time. It's worth the price to be able to have a convenient and quick experience.

When one tech says there is water in the break fluid (and I just changed it) and that the coolant was low; both needing to be fixed for a cost one has to wonder. When the tech who cashes me out tells me that my break fluid looks great and the coolant level is good, well, there is only one question to answer... which employee was lying to me? The lobby is open space with plenty of comfortable seating to accommodate customers. The status of your job is displayed on the monitors just above the service advisor desks so you know exactly how long of a wait you'll have. Unlike some of the other dealerships in town, the lobby is full of windows that look out into the service area so you can see the mechanics working on your vehicle.
