As you can see from my photo, I have a bouncing Staffie who I love to bits. The problem with this…read morebreed is they are naturally inquisitive and Bonnie will sometimes eat something she's not supposed to. For this reason alone I am very concientious in getting her regular jabs, although when I first got her money was tight and I was panicking about how I was going to get her first ones done and also her microchip. A friend suggested the Pet Vaccination Clinic in Wythall so as soon as Bonnie was around 10 weeks old I booked her in for her jabs. The Vaccination Clinic is much cheaper than any vet I had contacted, with her first lot of jabs costing around £13 with the opportunity to have her microchipped for £8. This is an absolute bargain so I booked an appointment for the following day and we got Bonnie in the car and headed to Wythall. The staff were absolutely excellent, from the first receptionist right to the student vet who calmed Bonnie down after the fully qualified vet had administered the injections. Before giving her her injection the vet gave Bonnie a once over which included weighing her and checking all her joints were healthy, I hadn't been expecting this as I remember taking my old dog for her injections at a local vet and they literally jabbed her and sent us away. Only when she was confident that Bonnie was well did she give the injection and then gave us an appointment a couple of weeks later for a booster injection, she explained that she would put the microchip in during this appointment too so advised us to put a heftier collar on Bonnie so we could hold her still. When our second appointment came around it was an equally good experience. We only had to wait a few minutes to be seen and the vet was kind and gentle to the dog, advising us that the microchip would probably hurt her and explaining the best way to hold her to avoid getting bitten should Bonnie get upset at the procedure. It wasn't too bad, although Bonnie did wee all over the vet in temper! After both appointments we were given advice on how to keep Bonnie well and after the second one I was advised to make a further appointment in 12 months for another booster jab. She is due to go again next week. I cannot recommend the Pet Vaccination Clinic enough for your dogs injections, the staff are warm and friendly and you simply will not find a more reasonable price.

I used to go to a truly independent vets on Vicarage Road but the owners of the practice decided To…read morego back home to Ireland. I have to say my husband and I were gutted as they were a husband and wife team who offered a truly personal service. I had been trying various practices to see if any matched up to those high standards. It's almost impossible to find unique pracices anymore, but for me White Cross is as close as it gets. We have had cause to visit them a great deal with our cat and every time we have received lovely service. The nurses at reception are helpful and always ready for a chat. The vets are knowledgable and caring and the prices are decent in my view. Unfortunately we lost our cat ultimately but they dealt with this with great sensitivity too and when we're ready for a new pet I'll have no hesitation in using them again.

When we first started using this practice some years ago with our first cat, I would have happily…read morerated them 10/10. But sadly, our last three visits leave a lot to be desired. We have a very highly strung cat and have tried all sorts of different treatments to help calm him, but sadly to no avail. On our visit today, on route we phoned to inform of a slight delay,( Due to afore mentioned reason,) which, as it turned out would not have been a problem. We noticed the patient before our appointment left a good while after we checked in. We were informed that we would have to go to the back of the queue as a matter of protocol. No problem if there had been someone else being seen.(Which was not the case.) When we asked in a polite manner, the receptionist, was quite rude in her reply.
