I visited the pets vaccination clinic in Wythall on Friday 13th May 2011, My Persian cat gave birth to a kitten the previous day and we heard that the Pet Vaccination clinic in Wythall have a scanner to see if she had anymore kittens inside her, which our usual vet does not have.
After waiting in the waiting room for 1 hour, bear in mind our cat was bleeding by this point and in a great deal of distress my partner was called through and explained our cat Aisha would need to be induced as there was at least 1 more kitten inside and if inducing didn't work she would need a ceasarian, which would be very dangerous and at a cost of £400. We asked the vets to do whatever they needed and left Aisha there until we received a call from them for us to collect her.
My partner receievd a call a few hours later informing us that Aisha had a Ceasarian and had 4 other kittens inside her, only one of which survived, therefor leaving us with 2 kittens (the one we brought in which she gave birth to on Thursday and the new one born at the vets). They also informed us that Aisha had been spayed.
5 minutes later we received another call saying that infact Aisha did not have a Ceasarian, she gave birth naturally afterbeing induced and we only had 1 live kitten, as the kitten we brought in which seemed very well at the time, although being hand reared as Aisha was not feeding had passed away.
By this point we were very confused, the complete lack of sensitivity around the matter left me and my partner devestated.
Even when we went to collect Aisha they had spelled our name and Aisha's name wrong and told us that she wasn't there!
I will never be visiting this vets again. read more
