They encouraged scheduling online, but the person i spoke with when I called was extremely helpful and friendly and I got the time and day of the week that was most convenient for me. They were very communicative in sending reminders of my appointment via text and emails. They are located in a residential area and the business you can tell was once a home, turned massage haven! I absolutely love that part, it's very charming as you approach outside it has a cute branch archway and a decorative bench. There is plenty street parking. The space is very open, bright and clean, which matters. The rooms where the massages are held are very spacious with sprinkles of serene things throughout. There was a very beautiful affirmation about walking and enjoying the moments In the bathroom that I had to take a picture of to share with others. The space overall is inviting. The Massage: I got a 90 minute relaxation massage with hot stones!!!! It was amazing!!! Serena was my massage therapist and she was friendly and courteous, asking if I had any trouble areas and addressing them very efficiently. I hadn't had a good massage since before covid so my body needed it and as she worked on my back and arms I felt my mind going from thing to thing to eventually feeling loopy and forgetting where I was lol That was a good thing for me. Lol I will be back!!! If you are considering it. Don't hesitate, make your appointment. So grateful I found my new spa!!! I walked out lighter and in a better spirit. The prices are reasonable in comparison to other spas, its not a $50 massage, but you get what you pay for and I'm over $50 massages, walking away sore or feeling weird because the place seemed shady. You won't get this here! You get quality and a safe space. Make your appointment.

I'd wind up in Granite Run, or Lord knows where else. But, I really think I've found a great place to go, and i won't have to hunt any more! I've always needed a strong, quality massage. I need the therapeutic parts, not the candles and incense. Nothing would frustrate me more when I'd leave an establishment, my back is still STONE, and the masseuse's hands are cramped up, because she couldn't get the job done. So, I constantly have had to change my massage places, in order to find a therapist that could do a good job. But, Back in Balance, I believe, is this place. Megan is professional, yet causal. She knows her stuff! It's not like she just watched a couple of YouTube videos, or got out of massage school last month. She really gets the job done. If you really want a quality massage, with therapeutic benefits, she's THE ONE!

I guess this is why collision specialists like bad drivers. That said, Megan is a wonder. She's not your ordinary massage therapist, and there's nothing ordinary about the breadth and depth of her clinical knowledge. In my case she used a combination of neurokinesis and active release therapy to "reprogram" my neck, shoulder, arm and leg to reduce dramatically the chronic nerve pain that typically plagues my right arm, and to eliminate the sometimes blindingly painful sciatica in my right leg. Imagine finding someone who thinks like an neuroanatomist (because she is) and works on the body like a traditional osteopath (before osteopathy became indistinguishable from allopathy) and you have Megan. Her background is impressive (including a stint with the sports medicine program for the Steelers) and her understanding of the human body precise and deeply intuitive. And she didn't just work with me during the session. Megan left me with a set of recommendations so that I could self-correct my "bad driving" after I left the office. I am truly pain-free for the first time in months. Brava. Megan will customize your routine to fit your specific needs, as she did with me. Whether you're seeing Megan for simple stress relief or more involved work like mine you'll find her to be personable, professional, effective and extremely smart. I'm going back to see her again and soon.

In addition to her extensive knowledge, expertise, and professionalism, she has a warmth that instantly makes me feel relaxed, even when I'm getting the deep tissue massages that my body demands. And while it's pretty standard for a massage therapist to ask how one is feeling before and after the massage, I felt from the beginning that Nina asked because she really cares. She focuses precisely on the problem areas I tell her about at the beginning, and at the end she often recommends things that I can do to feel better while at home and in between my massages. Something else I've observed, and benefited from, is Nina's commitment to staying up-to-date on the most innovative trends in her field, which shows how passionate she is about her practice. I've learned a lot from her because of this. Nina's studio is immaculately clean, stylishly decorated, comfortable, and quiet. Ample parking makes for one less thing to stress about when I'm headed to my massage, too! The value is simply unparalleled, and the relationship I've established with Nina will keep me coming back for years to come. I highly, highly recommend her for all of your massage/cupping/myofascial release needs!

My mother spoke so glowingly about how great she felt after her session that I was inspired to try it myself. Serena is very kind, and most importantly, incredibly skilled. If you want a turn-me-into-a-puddle type of massage, she'll do it, and do an amazing job. But her real skill is structural integration, where she actually gets in between the fibers of your muscles and attachment points (as in, all 4 heads of your quadriceps muscle) and creates separation so that you feel looser over all, for longer than you would after just a traditional massage. She really wants to help address the root cause of the discomfort, not just trying to get to the discomfort itself. It sounds weird, but she gets into where it hurts, pulls on it, and then it feels better. She's all around an amazing practitioner. I love going because I always feel so much better when I'm finished. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I'd drive 2 hours to see her, but thankfully, she's very conveniently located close to my house.
