The management of this place is horrible, with hardly no communication with tenets nor any people…read moreskills to help. The maintenence crew is rude and untrustworthy, often harassing people with issues that aren't related to anything business related or otherwise. The well water is highly questionable, with contanament levels kept at just barely legal levels, and even then it's recommended to boil tap water before use. There is zero internet access outside of cellular and satellite, and satellite access is questionable at best. About the only good things about Cascade are (most) of the neighbors and the price. Neither of those things, however, should sway someone into living there unless zero other options are available. Even then, I'd advise caution.

We highly recommend this most amazing woman as your realtor if you find yourself in need of one. She's truly the best!

Most of the negative comments are from renters - so take that with a grain of salt. Step Up handles service requests promptly, and usually gives me a few options. As an owner, I like having long-term and happy tenants, and from my side of things Step Up shares this goal. But sometimes people need someone to blame for their own troubles (as a recent tenant did), and a 'management company' can be a convenient punching bag. Step Up even helped with a frivolous lawsuit from a disgruntled tenant (who had trashed a house, dog feces and garbage left behind, holes in the wall, partially painted rooms, and even a burned wooden deck!) who was unhappy with the deposit 'cleaning' charge. So Darlene and Faith put up with a lot! I appreciate them immensely and will continue to use Step up for my property management needs.

Their amazing staff, specifically Darlene, Jamie and Davinelle are always there when any little or big issues arise. This review is for Michelle A'Dair of Sugar Pine Realty…read more My wife and I LOVE the gold country, and wanted a place to get away from the big city. Other realtors showed us garbage properties, the ones that had been on the market for months and months, because nobody wanted to purchase them. I have high expectations of people, and it is rare when my expectations are met. That is the reason why I have given few Yelp reviews. Michelle EXCEEDED my expectations. My review will sound unbelievable, but I assure you, it is 100% true. After months of frustration, I decided to contact a high producer. Michelle marketed herself well, so I gave her a call on a Friday evening. I explained to her what I was looking for, and what I was NOT looking for. Michelle agreed to meet with us the next morning. Long story short, Within an hour after meeting Michelle in person, and seeing the home Michelle showed us, we were making an offer to purchase. The next week was nerve wracking. There was a competitive offer on this property. Michelle positioned us so that we were chosen over the other offer. Fast forward to today.... We received the keys on the property this weekend and after 3 days here, we could not be happier. Why? 10 Year Old Home, owed by an executive that NEVER LIVED HERE. As my wife says, we got a brand new home! Inspections were a breeze. There were only a few cracked shingles on the ridge of the roof, and Michelle not only made sure they were repaired, but she convinced the seller to pay for UPGRADES on the roof. The other issues were laughable...like a loose porch tile, but Michelle made sure even these type of minor things were repaired, and paid for by the seller. You won't believe this. When the home was shown, it had beautiful furniture inside. Much nicer furniture than I could afford. Michelle and my wife both thought the home had been staged. I asked for all the furniture. Michelle said she would see what she could do. After a week of conversation between agents, the seller agreed to include ALL OF THE FURNITURE! When I said I have high expectations, I was not kidding. Not only did we get a great house, but Michelle was very clear that if we need ANYTHING, to make sure we give her a call. I've spent the time writing this long review because frankly, Michelle deserves it. We got everything we asked for, and even things we did not ask for. Michelle EXCEEDED our expectations in every way. Give Michelle a call as GREAT REALTORS are rare. You won't be disappointed.

For my home renovation loan, Peters Real Estate Appraisal services inspected/verified my…read moreconstruction work on behalf of the bank. This is more the type of work for a building inspector, than an appraiser, and as it turned out, I would have been much better off with an inspector. In order to speed final inspection as requested by the bank, the bank okay-ed a temporary deck railing construction of chicken wire, knowing that I cannot install the permanent solution now for a variety of reasons; chicken wire is code-compliant, cheap, safe, and was okay-ed in advance by everyone involved. Enter Peters Real Estate Appraisals. Peters "failed" me on my inspection because he didn't think the chicken wire would value my house adequately. In other words, chicken wire doesn't look as nice as wood; he was appraising my construction for value, not inspecting my construction for code compliance as he should have been. Peters knew perfectly well that the chicken wire solution was temporary, but he forced me to rip out one temporary solution for another much more expensive temporary solution of his choosing - douglas fir - knowing full well that I have to immediately rip that out too. Peters is more interested in playing games, than in doing the right thing to best serve the community (e.g. both me and the bank). Peters cost me an extra $5000 in what is now fire wood, just so he could take a picture of it. I understand that the banks took a beating for the recent financial crisis, and we now have new regulations disallowing banks working directly with appraisers/inspectors and everyone is more picky, but this is ridiculous. A simple renovation loan, where I have to spend thousands building temporary solutions makes the loan not worth it. This intentional lack of coordination between parties is an example of what is bankrupting home owners. I'm certain the regulators didn't intend this as a result of their efforts. Peters Real Estate Appraisals can and should make an effort to be reasonable and make good decisions, and help to be a part of the solution, and not create new and worse problems.

He's a good ole' boy working a construction business and doing property management in the winters to keep some Income stream. He's not a professional, not anywhere close to a professional. He did not perform a walk through checklist or keep a record of the items we discussed so he had no follow through on what we discussed after I traveled six hours to have this meeting with him. He didn't remember items we spoke of during the initial walk through, and can't provide a walk through list or anything we talked about although at the end of the lease he claims he has one, now that I brought up an issue with the renters move out. His contract is one sided in his favor, and He sides with his unstable renters. McKenzie and Mike took up to a week or more to return my calls or reply to my emails, and often not at all. Communication is very poor. When I finally just got blunt about their lack of follow through or communication, they would finally call me back. I don't want to do business like that and I sure don't want to work with someone that does. He also put an unhinged tenant in who left it a mess while Mike claimed it was clean. I had new carpets installed and the tenant left them dirty. He claims he had a receipt for cleaning them. I never saw it. He personally vouched for this guy. When it came to providing the renters notice to vacate (once he heard I was selling the place at the end of the lease), they backdated his notice and gave it to me at their end of their deadline. Backdating a notice to vacate is illegal and unethical. He sent me a nice little passive aggressive email at the end of closing out our business saying how much $ he made me. Which is a total joke since the house was in pristine condition and he put an unstable individual in their in the first place this costing me $. Don't use him. And if you have to for some ridiculous reason, Be prepared to spend your time and energy to make sure he does his job, and remember you're paying him for that.
