Got the "Gotta Have It" size in the Cake Batter Batter Batter signature creation. Enough ice cream to split between three in my opinion if you're having it as dessert after a meal. Reasonably priced for value especially if you get a bogo coupon.

Very good tasting ice cream. Flavors are not outrageous. Get up mix in toppings of your choice

Brought my daughter here after her Doctor's appointment for a sweet treat. Upon entering, you can smell the dizzying sweet aroma. Might get a cavity just breathing the air in here. We got the "Like It"- sized NEW Reese's Nothin' But Peanut Butter Cup creation. Very tasty and very sweet. Highly recommend. Staff was friendly and preparation was quick! Only major downside is that it's pretty pricy! A small "Like It" size signature creation will run you almost $5. I am lactose intolerant so I don't eat ice cream much. It would be awesome if they made a lactose-free one so I could enjoy it without being in agony later!!! :-)

Probably the best ice cream in Winston Salem! We had the Mud Pie Mojo! Coffee Ice Cream with OREOCookies, Peanut Butter, Roasted Almonds and Fudge. Cold Stone is currently open for carry out only and it's a real treat and he's trying times!

Cookie Doughn't You Want Some for my boyfriend and I. He ordered his with sprinkles.

This was my first visit to Cold Stone and it was great. My boyfriend and I both got the Cookie Doughn't You Want Some. It was very rich and super sweet. We ordered the smallest size, the like it, and it felt like a ton of ice cream. Both of us were barely able to finish our portions, but we managed anyways. There were quite a few people in line but the three employees managed to get the line through fairly quickly and efficiently. None of them were particularly friendly but I think that was probably due to all the hustle and bustle of the long line. The parking lot here is pretty full since it's next to a Chipotle. They have a few tables for seating, which happened to be full when we came in. But by the time we were through the line, several tables had freed up. We had a nice first visit here and will definitely be back in the future.

Hello yumminess! I walk in and immediately it's like the counter calls my name and sucks me right in and my whole thought of "eat healthy" runs out the door! Lol I couldn't resist the coffee ice cream and added brownies to it tonight! They also have salted caramel and Oreo stuffing... Not only did it taste just like the middle of an Oreo, I got some to go and had to mix Oreos in it lol the best thing ever, yet so backwards! I loved that they offer to go sizes now too... Like "just me" all the way to "Everyone," so you can enjoy it at home and not just one time!

    Deliciousness made to order.

The worker who waited on me was so kind and helpful, and apologized for answering the phone while I was in there (there was no need, because you're running a business, I get it), but she was so polite! They always have a fun assortment of flavors of cupcakes but it's rather hit or miss what quality you will get. They have fun combinations and flavors and are always beautiful, but sometimes they are quite dense, sometimes super moist, and sometimes dry and will nearly choke you. My default cupcake is always the yellow cake with chocolate icing. I feel like it's hard to mess up. However, I tried a cookie this most recent time and didn't love it. It was really thick and hard to eat. The flavor wasn't great, either. This is definitely somewhere to stop in and try- just to say you did it. They were on Cupcake Wars, after all.

This artisan bakery has undergone all health and department of agriculture inspections and been approved to prepare baked goods for wholesale and private sale. If you've never ordered a cake from a home bakery, we will walk you through the process we followed step by step. For our family, it started with deciding what type of cake my mom would like for her birthday, my dad would like for his birthday, and both parents would enjoy for their anniversary. My parents love old fashioned layer cakes with mountains of airy frosting. We browsed the photos and list of cake flavors in the Notes section on the WitsEnd Facebook page. Mom decided upon a coconut cake for her birthday. This was no ordinary coconut cake. Dubbed Grandma's Coconut Cake, the enticing dessert had been soaked for two days to saturate the cake with coconut flavor, then iced in a fluffy frosting and covered in flaked coconut. Six glorious layers of moist cake were slathered in a towering light-as-air frosting. Vicki Crouser, the owner of WitsEnd, has a contact number for the business on Facebook. We called, placed our order, and arranged a date to pick up the cake. When you work with any home bakery, due to restrictions you won't be able to pick up a cake directly at their home. You will arrange a time and public place for the cake delivery. This was quite convenient for us. Jerry met Vicki at the New Town Square shopping center at an agreed upon time on a day he planned on running other errands. Dad adores fruit .The Banana Pudding Cake was a perfect choice for his birthday treat. Four layers of sumptuous banana cake were filled with creamy banana frosting and vanilla wafer crumbles. This lavish sweet was hand delivered neatly in a labeled, sealed, cardboard cake box. If you don't finish the cake in one sitting, plan on making room in your refrigerator. All of the WitsEnd cakes use fresh butter and eggs. My parent's anniversary cake was a meeting of the minds so to speak. The Mandarin Orange Cake had the mandarin orange pieces my mom loves and the pineapple my dad cannot resist. The confection was an ambrosial tropical paradise. With all three cakes, we had no issues ordering or picking up the desserts. Vicki was always on time to deliver her box of sugary bliss. The WitsEnd Bakery Facebook also showcases beautifully decorated custom cakes for weddings and themed birthday parties. They make a variety of cookies like chocolate mint, chocolate berry, peanut butter tap taps, chocolate chip, gingerbread, and molasses. Several local restaurants serve WitsEnd Bakery cakes. For your next special occasion, veer away from the grocery store and head towards a local baker like WitsEnd bakery. We asked for a golf-themed birthday cake and Danielle exceeded our expectations. Danielle Kattan Cakes is based out of The Canvas Cake Studio in Winston-Salem, NC. Same business address. Danielle Kattan Cakes does custom cakes and The Canvas Cake Studio is a cake-decorating studio that hosts family-friendly classes, parties, and other fun events. Both are owned and run by Danielle. My wife found Danielle by doing a Google search for custom cake makers in the Piedmont Triad. Danielle was one of the top results and she had stellar reviews. My wife communicated with Danielle via email. Danielle asked if there was a specific design we'd like and if we had pictures to share. My wife shared a picture of a golf-themed cake that she thought was cute. However, she told Danielle to feel free to put her own creative spin on it. She also told Danielle that the grandkids call my dad "Gong Gong." Anticipating 13-15 guests, Danielle quoted $145-$165. Our actual payment was $165 plus $11.55 tax for a total of $176.55. We were invoiced through The Canvas Cake Studio. Danielle recommended we pick up the same day about 2-4 hours before the event. After that, we were told to refrigerate the cake until 2 hours before serving. We followed these guidelines and everything turned out great. Not only did the cake look spectacular, but it tasted delicious too. We chose Cleo's Almond and Coconut Signature Cake Flavor from Danielle's website. It's described as: "Light moist layers of almond and coconut semolina cake filled with orange blossom buttercream iced with a swirly combination of coconut and orange blossom buttercream." https://www.daniellekattancakes.com/signature-cakes/ The pictures and video of the cake, that I posted here on Yelp, speak for themselves. We loved it. I especially loved the golf glove on top of the cake that said "Happy Birthday Gong Gong," the golf bag and clubs, and the gold golf ball teed up in a patch of grass with the number '80' on it. I could tell the cake was made with a lot of thought and care, and I loved the attention to detail. It was simply amazing all around. Danielle is so skilled. My wife started emailing with Danielle about 7 weeks before the event. Sometimes, it took Danielle many days to respond and my wife would have to follow up when not hearing back after 5, 10, 20+ days. So, communication wasn't the best. We had a day-of backup plan just in case things didn't work out. We picked up the cake at The Canvas Cake Studio on a Sunday morning shortly after 10:00am. My wife called Danielle to let her know that we were on our way. No one answered, so she left a voicemail. The strip where The Canvas Cake Studio is located, Jonestown Plaza, was dead, but we did see a car parked in the back which gave us hope. Danielle's son Adrian was waiting inside for us and we picked up the cake from him. He was polite and kind. Adrian was the one who told us to refrigerate until 2 hours before serving. The studio itself was charming. Thank you, Danielle and Adrian, for helping to make my dad's 80th special and memorable!

And another actual favorite of mine (Little Cake Company) was booked through Mother's Day Weekend. Danielle responded within an hour or two of my email and we texted back and forth about the details. I was worried about the cake not being able to serve 25-30 people but it got the job done easily and then some! I ordered a tie-dye cake with "Happy 40th Birthday, Ken!" written on it. The only hiccup which I actually didn't even notice immediately was that they had written Kent instead (I sent a photo to my friends and they asked if I was going to get it corrected - ha!) The shop took care if it immediately and the cake was a hit at the party. Loved the funfetti flavor and vanilla ice cream. Few days later and I am still chipping away at it, and it's just as tasty as the day I picked it up. Maybe slightly on the pricier side but for a custom request and that much detail in the scoring/design, totally worth it! Thanks Danielle/Canvas Cakes - I will definitely be back for future party needs!! @azfitfoodfun
