The salted caramel was my wife's preferred one, but it was rather dry. The pistachio was properly moist, and I preferred it. The chocolate eclair ($4.75) was pretty good, but, again, rather dry. It was also small. We got two beignets ($1.50 each): chocolate and berry. The chocolate was a bit dry, but my wife's preference, and the berry was moist and I preferred it. The Nutella waffle ($5.50) was pretty large. It would need more something to be really good though. Probably slather it with Nutella and whipped cream. I'd say it was more drizzled with Nutella than slathered. We went back and got a bit more Nutella on it, but it still wasn't enough. It was pleasant, like everything here, but not something I'd get again. There was no gelato this time: their freezer was out of service. I've never tried their meringues or chocolates. This place probably isn't as good as it once was: I remember really liking some things here in the past (see my previous reviews of this and other locations of Le Macaron). Dried-out pastries just aren't going to make for a successful place. Additionally, the competition in pastry shops has risen enormously: there are multiple good French pastry shops in our area now. Le Macaron just doesn't seem competitive to me, so I probably won't be back.

He was so nice and well-informed on all of the desserts. When picking out each flavored macaron he provided me a quote to match the flavor or a fun fact about the taste. I was so impressed with him. We were a party of 7 ordering a variety of macarons, gelato, shakes, and pastries close to closing time and he did not skip a beat. He didn't rush us and was all about having happy customers. I have been to other locations for this company that do not offer the same level of service so that speaks volumes. I don't go to Jacksonville too often, but when I do I will make sure to stop over to this mall for some macarons because they are so delicious and worth every penny. Plus with the level of service, they offer you really cannot go wrong here.

Dunkin' has grown considerably since Bill Rosenberg opened the first location in Quincy, Massachusetts back in 1950. The company has since expanded to somewhere around thirteen thousand locations in over forty countries. I would say that Dunkin' is best known for their donuts (though if you would like, you can spell it doughnuts) and coffee, though my go-to here is neither. My usual order at a Dunkin' is probably their bagels with cream cheese. While I would never say that Dunkin' has the best bagels with cream cheese (I grew up in New Jersey and I know great bagels), they are pretty good, especially when you consider that the bagels are coming from a global chain. I have often used Dunkin' (or if you prefer, Dunkin' Donuts) as a co-conspirator in bringing a culinary bribe of coffee and donuts to early morning meetings. There is nothing like some coffee and donuts to help inspire a bit more attention and maybe the wisp of a smile upon the tired faces of the various teams that I am meeting with. Whatever you choose to go with, you simply cannot go wrong with anything that you order at Dunkin.' Overall, I will give this location five stars and they definitely have my recommendation.
