After dinner tonight, I was stopping by Ulta Beauty and Kohl's for my birthday treats. I looked up dessert on Google maps and saw that Cold Stone Creamery was close by. It's right next to Red Robin. This location has only been open a couple of months and didn't have a Yelp presence so I got it started. I got Dad a scoop of strawberry ice cream in a cup and I had a scoop of coffee ice cream in a cup. They offer a variety of fresh ice cream flavors, plenty of toppings and cone choices. Fridge has grab and go pints, quarts or ice cream cakes for those in a hurry. This is one of the cleanest Cold Stones in San Antonio that I have been in. There's usually one person in the store manning the register and typically with an extremely long line however they make it work. Cold Stone is a little pricey compared to its counterpart Marble Slab but the ice cream flavors and taste are completely different. The signature creations are typically loaded and taste just like they look. I decided to be different and order the cotton candy ice cream with Oreos and that was the best decision ever. The cotton candy ice cream tasted amazing and not overly sweet. The cashier even offered me a kids waffle cone instead of the regular size one since I didn't want a lot of cone. I would definitely revisit this location for the ice cream and service. read more

I ordered on the Cold Stones website on 4/7/23 to be deliver at 7pm. My delivery time kept going up so I called the driver. I spent approximately 10 min trying to direct the driver to my address. The driver just said he can't find it and he will get me a refund. Right after we hung up it stated "delivered". I called the store to address the matter and the first associate I talked to said that they didn't have any delivery orders, and the associate asked me as if it was new to him that you can make orders on the Cold Stone website. The associate said he couldn't give me a refund despite the transaction being processed through their store and that the manager would call me tomorrow. Tomorrow came so I called the store myself. Another associate gave me the run around saying the manger will call me in 15 minutes, manger never called. I called again and finally another associate directed me to a person who said they are the manager. The person claiming to be the manager heard my situation and promised to get my refund, I even asked when could I hear a follow up and she promised to follow up ASAP. Hours later I call again and another associate answers and said the manger isn't here today, I told him I just talked to her this morning and then he hung up in my face. Now the store won't answer my calls. This is worst and most ridiculous customer service I've ever experienced. First I pay for items that I never received from the store and now the store won't even answer my calls to resolve anything. It's unbelievable that you have people working at this store who have no issues bold face lying to costumers and hanging up in their face . The employees also refused to state their name. I'm happy we didn't receive the ice cream because I would never won't to eat anything from anyone with such low integrity, god knows what other type of fraudulent activity they are doing. I'll be filing a dispute for fraud and contacting corporate. Hopefully corporate actually cares about costumer service and the associates that have played apart in this are handled accordingly. read more

It's hard to really explain ALL flavors they have here because they're delicious. I'll give you the usual that I tend to get when I visit. I usually go for Cream Cheese Ice Cream mixed with strawberries, graham cracker pieces and oreos. It tastes like a heavenly oreos cheesecake. Another mixture I get is coffee ice cream mixed with graham cracker pieces and marshmallows. Lastly my fave is vanilla mixed with yellow cake pieces and rainbow sprinkles inside a chocolate dipped ice cream cone. However, I haven't found a flavor I haven't liked there but these 3 concoctions are my go to flavors. Today, my hubby and I had some company so we decided to go a different route and grab a Cookie Dough Ice Cream Cake and Sweet Cream Cupcakes. Deliciousness! I can understand sticky tables and doors during busy times but the floors and baseboards have obviously been neglected for months at least. The toilets were scary dirty. Very nice store and friendly staff but ordered a small ice cream cake for $28 and there was very little cake and ice cream in it. The cake was covered in about an inch and a half thick of white fluffy sweet concoction. We had to rake most of the white fluff off the cake to taste any of the ice cream probably won't be ordering another one. read more
