Not really prepared to have all that many people in there at a time but the staff worked as fast as possible and was very kind. There's not much seating options between outside and inside so you might have to sit in your car or on the curb. The ice cream is really good. I tried the peanut butter cookie dough and it was amazing. I tried their waffle cone and it never got soggy and stayed nice and crunchy, probably one of my favorite waffle cones! Also got the cheesecake fantasy which has cheesecake ice cream with strawberries and blueberries with graham crackers and it was really good but I don't think it warranted the price for the size at all. Recommend if you want to choose what goes into your ice cream but I think there are cheaper places with plenty of more options out there. read more

They didn't mix my mix-in's IN. What!?! So I had a couple pints, and they did little more than toss in a couple chunks of brownie and what else, mixed it up, and viola, broken tooth! I didn't break a tooth, but honestly with mixin's like that, we're all playing with fire. You ever try to bite a frozen solid brownie? It's not fun. It's sad; especially when you're paying $10 for 3 scoops of ice cream - excellent as cream that it is I might add. I ordered the mint chip signature, and apple pie signature with cake batter ice cream, and they both weren't mixed well at all. Keep an eye on your ice cream wizard, and keep 'em honest. Cold stone keeps their ice cream at the perfect temperature. An ice cream that is too cold looses its creaminess and ices your tastebuds so the flavor is soon lost, IMHO. That and the fresh small batches make all the difference. Flavors change all the time, so take advantage of the opportunity to sample a few flavors before committing to one. Today I tried "oatmeal cookie dough" and "cake batter" before settling on "cheesecake". They have a great selection of mix-ins, but for me it's usually either mini chocolate chips, brownie or pie crust & fruit. The texture of the ice cream is almost chewy. Since we've moved to the area I've gotten really used to custard, and alternately frozen yogurt, but going back for a real tried and true ice cream is still a pleasure. It's just so darn tasty! The last bite tasted just as delicious as the first. My husband takes his coffee flavor ice cream with nothing mixed in and you couldn't persuade him to add something if his life depended on it. They've got Rocky Mountain Chocolates on location too. This place is pretty tiny, so unless you get lucky and come at the right time you won't find a place to sit. There was no one in line when we arrived, and we spotted two free tables, but both were dirty. The service was prompt and friendly though so I won't minus a star for the oversight. read more

So I have came to this location at least 7 different times in the past 2 weeks and I only go for the banana ice cream. Unfortunately they have a banana bread ice cream going on so they haven't had my banana ice cream out on display so I usually have to ask for it by name and someone will go to the back and get the one I actually want. Today I went in to get my usual banana ice cream and they were scooping up the one labeled banana nut bread. I told the guy I don't want that one I just want the regular banana and he knows me because he's had to go to the back one time for me to get the regular banana. Anyways he precedes to lie to me and tell me that the one on display which looked a little bit darker was the plain banana ice cream even though it was labeled banana nut bread. I said are you sure that's just the regular banana. He said yep that's the one. I said okay then that's the one I want. So I get my love it I pay and I leave. As soon as I get a chance to start devouring my ice cream I noticed that it tastes very cinnamony and I hate cinnamon. I can also taste walnuts I think? I'm very disappointed that someone couldn't just take a couple of steps and go to the back and get the ice cream I wanted. Some of the best ice cream I have ever had is from cold stone! While it can cost five or six dollars for a bowl of ice cream, it is fairly comparable to any other ice cream place and I feel like the quality is much better. You can sample from a variety of flavors and one unique thing about this cold stone is that they also have a rocky Mountain chocolate factory in it as well. They have an excellent variety of Nixon's so you can customize your ice cream or even make a shake out of it. They have excellent cakes and you can buy ice cream by the pint as well. read more

BEST PLACE EVER. The workers here are so friendly and really work hard to make sure the customers get the best service possible. The very respectful teenage guy who made my mint mint chocolate chocolate chip did a stupendous job mixing it. They are all masters with the scoopers. The young lady at the cash register was very willing to answer our questions about the tiny spoons and what it's like to work at cold stone (i.e. the amount of forearm strength gained from this job). We have been to this location multiple times and have never had any issues, until today. I don't know what the problem is, maybe new management, maybe training new people, but it was horrible. They didn't fill any of our cups up full. My milkshake literally was 3/4 full and they just handed it to me. They added just regular vanilla ice cream to the top of one of our cups as well because they didn't fill it up enough. Not going back. read more

We wanted some good ice cream, so we opted to order online at Cold Stone rather than going to Sonic or something. .... In hindsight probably should've gone to Sonic. I put my order in at 8:14 it says it should be ready at 8:31pm. However when we get there, we can see they're busy no big deal we say in the car for awhile. As we're walking in there's someone who has an online order behind us and in front of us, as well as several people in line (10-15). The person in front of us asks about their order a couple times. And then I pop up and ask about mine, ( the app has said it was now completed and this was about 8:40) the taller brunette said the guy was just finishing it up. I watched as handed the one he was working on to a customer in line. The person behind us went to ask for an update on their order and they received it immediately. So I went up to the front again to ask about the order again and the blonde shorter woman with the bedazzled mask said she's getting it started right now. Mind you neither of these women checked a ticket, computer, or with anyone else. We could tell from standing there that there was no system, no one knew who was doing what. When I asked again another 10 minutes later the brunette walked around looking at tickets and then talks to the blonde who said she's working on she has to go get more of something. Meanwhile the people that were at the end of the line when we got there are now paying and leaving. So we're starting to get visibly frustrated at this point, my friend is trying to find out how much longer and the blonde shorter woman with the bedazzled mask is talking smack at us and about us behind the counter. I turned to my friend and asked if she noticed the blonde talking about us. Finally after 40 minutes waiting inside we had our food. As we left the blonde stormed out the back. Hopefully she came back to help cause they were still very busy. Had we not been told different stories, we wouldn't have even been as frustrated. Also wouldn't be writing reviews on everything I can if the blonde with the bedazzled mask has been polite. ( of course the two people that worked with us didn't have name tags. One of the other people had a blank name tag) like I get you're frustrated with how busy you are, or how clearly the online system doesn't work well, but be polite to your guests please. I'm a self described sugar addict and Cold Stone hits the spot every time. I always order the Founders Favorite however my family has tried many other flavors and never complain. We even have a vegan in the family and this location has sorbet, so thumbs up to them! It seems they are always busy, no matter what time we come, but the staff is always pleasant and handles the crowds in the best way possible. The kid making them for us had no idea how many was in a pound so I told him to make 6 for us. He had so much trouble with the scale and pricing. He couldn't have been more than 16. I don't usually go to this store but I had to for 2 DoorDash orders to pick up.I don't think I will be accepting any more orders from this store after what happened. I arrived to pick up the orders and waited for a good 5 min my car. Then when I got inside, and the worker told me they hadn't started on any doordash orders even though a guy just got one probably 1 min before i came in. Although there were only 2 people working and I could tell they were stressed so i just decided to wait off on the side patiently. Usually, I only have to wait 15-20 min if it is a big order or the food takes awhile to cook. But this only required scooping ice cream into a bucket with no toppings. After 30 minutes, the guy finally says "yeah you need to call your orders and tell them to cancel them..."AFTER 30 minutes!!! Also he was not very apologetic at all, and he had multiple instances to tell me that they were too busy. If he would've told me this sooner I could've let the customers I was supposed to be delivering to know to cancel it, and they could have gotten food somewhere else. At this point they are waiting for their ice cream and wondering where it is, and now I have to tell them they can't have it and there's nothing I can do about it. They handled this horribly and it made me so angry because it wasn't my own personal order/money, it was someone else's money I was in charge of. There was nothing i could do in the situation, and i did nothing wrong, but i still had to take the fall for cold stone's horrible management and be the bad guy. If you can't do doordash orders, then don't sign up your store to do it. read more

Tasty ice cream is always a must. I love Cold Stone purely because you have unlimited choices. My favorite part is that they have really good flavored ice cream, not just vanilla and chocolate. This Cold Stone, like all the others, has amazing tasting product. It has the perfect consistency at the perfect temperature. Most of the staff seems to be teenagers but I've never had a problem with speed or quality at this location. Service is average. Not awful but they could do a little better to provide a friendlier atmosphere. From my experiences it's always been "Hi. What can I get for you? Do you want a receipt?" type of thing. I would like to see more smiles and friendlier attitudes. They typically give the right portion as well. Other locations I've been to seem to be a little "skimpy" compared to this one. The main downside of this location is the cleanliness of the seating and back area. The prep area isn't so bad but it starts to look a bit nasty some days and could probably be wiped down more often. The tables are really what get me. The inside ones are definitely more taken care of than the outside ones. The outside ones never seem to cleaned, ever. read more

Have bought cakes from here before an they have been perfect! Recently picked one up a few days ago and the lettering and icing was smudged and looked like it had melted. The young man working seemed to be new and was struggling a bit with knowing what to do and looked like the only one who was working there at that time of day (which this is definitely not his fault, should be better management). We had already been waiting in line for about 20 minutes. When he handed us the cake he apologized. We did not want to give him any more trouble so we didn't say anything. Honestly I felt like this place needed to be cleaned, it was kind of gross the closer you looked. There is a bear that I'm assuming kids are meant to take pictures with that is representative of the rocky mountain chocolate factory, honestly if I was a child I would find the bear terrifying and the bear is unsanitary and past its life and the bicycle cord that its attached to the bench with needs to be cut and the bear needs to go in the trash. Some of the flavors in the case look like they had melted, like Im not talking just a little bit, Im talking they turned into soup and they just stuck them back in the freezer, like someone wasn't going to notice. I got a strawberry blonde, there was quite a few sprinkles present in my ice cream, which last time I checked those are not present in that ice cream. The staff was nice enough. When sitting there pretty much all the tables were dirty but Im guessing on a Thursday afternoon it hadn't been busy and the floor looked like it probably hadn't been swept well in at least a week.
