I love ColdStone! The Cake-batter flavor is my favorite! The facility it self is kind of blah, not much on the walls, tables and chairs are all pushed off to a corner every-time I've gone in so it's just a big open empty space with a cooler against the wall. I went in a few months ago and the workers vibes seemed off. Then the 'manager' a very young girl came behind the register to count the drawer I guess? Not a problem if she wasn't wearing a belly shirt and very tight black pants. Totally inappropriate. I recently went in this past weekend on 6/10, long line with 1 poor skinny tall guy working his butt off while the other 2 girls worked on take out orders. 1 girl in particular was very rude to my BF and yelled at him "SIR ARE YOU PICKING SOMETHING UP. " twice. The whole room fell silent when he replied No. not realizing he was waiting on me. She didn't apologize and just kept huffing and puffing while preparing orders. We saw a loud woman with a thick accent walk by while someone else took our orders and when she did we could smell her BO from the other side of the counter. There is no way that is hygienic. I've picked up Door Dash orders from here and ordered as well. Worst service ever! The kids behind the counter don't pay much attention to what they are doing nor do they even acknowledge the pick up order counter, which shouldn't take a lot of smarts to do. It takes ten minutes just to flag someone down to see if an order is ready, and they spend more time chit chatting with each other than working on orders. Ordered two triple pint freezer packs online on Saturday. Tipped 20% so I assumed the chances of the ice cream being sufficiently packed was good. NOPE. However, that wasn't the main problem. Our Oreo Overload was anything but, heck it wasn't even an Oreo Underload, it was an Oreo Nothing load. Just a few bits of non Oreo chocolates and zero Oreo. Not exactly a rare occurrence here. Dropped into this place because I just can't say no to ice cream. I have an addiction. Meh. It was empty. Its February so I mean, I get it. No one was out shopping during the afternoon on a Thursday. This isn't a complaint, I prefer it this way. Okay honestly, it's not worth it. I paid $5.50 for two scoops of ice cream when I could have got a half gallon at that price (half that when on sale!). Regardless, it's pretty good ice cream. I'm a weirdo. My favorite ice cream as a child was cotton candy. But my favorite as an adult is coffee Oreo. I decided to get both. The Oreo pieces are actual Oreo cookie that is crushed as they fold the cookies into the ice cream. So it ends up being a version of a McFlurry and a Blizzard, only with better ice cream. The girl working seemed to hate her life, but soon warmed up because my quirkiness tends to rub off on people. Nothing to rave about. It's ice cream. Go, don't go. Who cares. I purchased an ice cream cake on June 18, 2022. I brought to the register and waited patiently while the employee's chatted to each other. Finally, a gentleman waited on me. I asked, "may I please have something written on this cake?" His reply was, "the signer isn't in." I was so disappointed but what could I do. As I was paying for the cake he says, "that will be $39.99." I replied ... "wow, $40.00 and I can't have anything written on the cake." He glared at me and said, that I could "come back" tomorrow. I said unfortunately, I do not live around here and I wouldn't be able to." His response was ... "not all cakes need to have something written on." I said excuse me ... what cake doesn't have something written on such as a happy birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day etc." His next sentence he said, " well I guess that's on you then! My reply to him was the customer service here is just "awesome!" How about saying to your customer, "I'm very sorry that our baker isn't here to help you. It's unfortunate situation. I asked for his name because I was going to call the manager when I got home and let him know how rude his employee was and how well he wa representing Cold Stone Creamry. Yet again, he was rude and replied "please do. My name is Joseph." I took my ice cream cake and left. Have any of these employees been trained that "the customer is always right and to be polite so they will come back and spend more money especially during these trying times!!! The strawberry cake I ordered was fine. But I am having billing issues. Cold stone billed me twice for the cake. I made an order online and gave my credit card information. Then I received an email saying order was not confirmed and please call the local cold stone store. I called them and was told I should just go to the store, pay there and get the cake. The staff also told me the online order was just for information collection and I won't be charged. Now I found I was charged twice, once for the online order, the other time for getting the cake in the store. I've spent half an hour calling cold stone customer service. They forwarded to gift card department (I don't know why they forwarded me there but apparently it has nothing to do with the gift card and they sent me back), and they have been very firm that I should call the local mansfield cold stone store. I will call them and waste my time just in order to get my own money back. But I will avoid going to any cold stone again. read more

Came here tonight with my family and waited no joke 45 mins for an ice cream. Employees were so slow and talking near the register instead of making the sundaes. There was at least 5 people that walked out the place without purchasing anything and I would of if I didn't promise my toddler Ice cream already. I would give zero stars but it won't let me. Absolute disgrace. I preordered a birthday cake a week in advance. It was suppose to say Happy Birthday Marissa in pink coloring for a 12:00 pickup. I arrived to pick up at 12:10 and they said they hadn't wrote on it yet. After waiting close to 5 minutes they came back and told me they had purple and if I wanted pink I would have to wait for them to make it. I asked Marissa if she wanted purple or wanted to wait for pink and she said she would wait. After another 5 minutes they bagged up the cake and said I was all set. When I looked at the cake it was in purple writing and looked like a 4 year old had done it. When I complained they said they don't have pink and never said they could do pink. Yesterday I was at the Mansfield Cold Stone, ice cream in hand, waiting in line to pay and their credit card system went down. The family in front of us, a mother, father, and son, was trying to pay with credit card and they didn't have cash. The cashier was on the phone with the manager figuring out what to do and eventually the phone was handed to the mother so her and the manager could speak directly. The confusion went on for a while, but eventually the manager seems to have told his teenage employee to ask the son, who we overheard was 6 years old, for his now half-eaten ice cream back. This manager upset the boy, the family, and everyone in the store at the time. All so he could get some half eaten ice cream back that, of course, would have just been thrown away. This is ridiculous on so many levels. read more

This Coldstone location has the worse service, the owners are RUDE, and disrespectful!!! I had ordered shark theme cupcakes for my daughters Birthday beach party. When my uncle went to pick them up, the owner said they are no longer do that theme cupcake. When my uncle called me with the bad news, I had called them right away! I spoke with the owner and explained that I had previously ordered and pre-paid for the cupcakes, and that I was confused they not only did not have the cupcakes ready, but they discontinued the shark theme cupcake, and failed to notify me. The owner did not want to hear of it, instead he kept yelling over me. After the owner told me that he is canceling the order my husband intervened. Finally, the owner agreed to do the shark cupcakes. To my disappointment, he did not keep his word. My uncle brought home the cupcakes with no shark gummy's on it, the frosting was flat and melted. It just looked awful!!! My husband called back when we saw the cupcakes to discuss why the owner did not keep his word, but the girl who answered the phone said he was not available! I will never go back there, and reading the other yelp complains about this owner, I hope the Coldstone Corporation looks into this. Is sad how one person can ruin a great company's image! This Cold Stone is a far cry from some others I've been to in other states/towns. The service is lacking. We went here at 9pm on a Friday night...the line was backed up to the door. I believe the owner(s) were there the whole time, but only emerged from the back after we had paid. There were 2 employees taking orders & a male associate cleaning up. The best thing about Cold Stone is the ice cream & add-ons, aside from that, you're more apt to find one with way better customer service than the Mansfield location. read more
