I went to support National Ice Cream Day and was so disappointed. They were only allowing 12 people in at a time and everyone was wearing masks which was good but everyone wasn't wearing gloves at this location. They also didn't have napkins or hand sanitizer but yet only had one pen for everyone to use to sign receipts if they used a credit card to pay. That was basically everyone getting ice cream. Wasn't greeted when i walked just kinda looked at awkwardly then was asked what i wanted. While trying to decide i could clearly hear the workers talking about another coworker and cursing up a storm. To me, that should not be done in front of customers. The ice cream was okay but wasn't a big fan of the flavor I chose (thats on me). When the worker was done making it she kinda just dropped it in front of me. These are all minor things but its what makes the experience enjoyable to me. Overall the place just had a kind of sad vibe to it. Not to mention the coolers in the front with the exposed internals. Then the staff acted irritated that we wanted to look at the menu. There were no other customers waiting so it's not like we were holding up business. We had never been to this restaurant before so we had questions about how to order (I still don't know if it's by size or number of scoops). The staff acted irritated by the question. They also got the order wrong. My wife asked for cookie dough but her cone was handed to us with only vanilla. We felt so unwelcome in the building that we just took the loss and hit the road. I stoped in after my eye doctor visit and I should just went home... The place was muggy and there was no music or anything. I ordered a small coffee flavored milkshake the man asked if I wanted anything mixed in and I said no, he made the shake and didn't put whip cream or cherry even after I asked him to just ignored me, rung me up and walked to the back. A young lady came out and saw the milkshake (which wasn't even full..) and asked if I wanted whip cream I said yes and went about my day... it wasn't until I was half way done with the milkshake that I realized there was a hair in it... (looked like a facial hair..) I paid 7 dollars for a small milkshake I could just went elsewhere for.. I will never be going back.. Yuck...we love cold stone and have been to many, but this place has been grossly neglected. From walking in to 2 color tile, peeling counter and ice cream area that was dimly lit and looked melty we should have taken that as our first hint to turnaround and walk out. I took my children to the bathroom while my husband ordered. The bathroom was even more neglected than the lobby: gross floors, running toilet, toilet paper sitting on top of the dispenser, discolored mirror, white rain bottle of hand soap on the counter (might as well have been water in a bottle), and no paper towels. While we were in the bathroom I noticed a couple of drain flies but just sort of shrugged them off as something that's fairly common in a bathroom. Back out in the lobby we sat down to eat our ice cream and on the wall behind us I counted 16+ drain flies. We immediately threw our $16 worth of ice cream away and left. The single worker was friendly, that's about the only positive thing I can say about our experience at this location. I love Cold Stone's creations and their whole concept but unfortunately, they seriously do not know how to run a business. Last night I walked in at 8pm and there was a couple being helped by one employee while there were two other employees standing around doing nothing; it took at least 2 full minutes for someone to acknowledge me to ask me what I wanted. No greeting, no smile, nothing friendly. I felt like I was interrupting them. It pisses me off too because we spend a good $15+ every time. I ordered two large creations with waffle bowls, to-go. I didn't think my order was too difficult considering the only thing I changed was the base flavor of the ice cream for the creations and asked them if they would put the waffle bowls in a separate bag because I was traveling a half an hour home and I didn't want anything to get smushed. The guy wasn't friendly, wasn't accommodating at all and didn't even listen to my request. After I paid my $15 tab I checked the bag; the waffle bowls were on one side and the ice cream was on the other side (one was already on its side because the bag was too big and he stacked everything on top of each other). Eye roll. I can't. Again, I asked if I could have a separate bag for the waffle bowls and I re-bagged my order. No goodbye, no thank you for coming in, nothing. By the time I got home, we realized that they didn't make our ice cream creations correctly and the waffle bowls weren't fresh or crunchy. It was such a bummer... but you live & you learn. This is the closest Cold Stone store to us (30 minutes away) so it's definitely a hike. The past few times we have been extremely disappointed so we're crossing Cold Stone off our list for good. There was a young lady putting everything away. I asked for a manager card, he told me Ahmad was the manager of the location however I will be contacting cooperate because it seems this location just closes when the feel like. Very rude and unprofessional. Me and my family went to Lucha Libre when they were welcoming, great atmosphere, got there 30'minutes before close and the place was vibrant and delicious. Absolutely terrible! Visited last weekend. The ice cream was halfway melted! Lots of toppings not available! The restroom out of order, the walls full of dust! The air conditioner vents were not in place and could see all of the dust! If it weren't for my kids that were excited for ice cream and did not want to somewhere else I would have walked right out! Well as far as chains go, this isn't any different. Cold stone has interesting flavors and combinations. I happened to create my own; coffee flavored ice cream mixed with brownies and topped with sprinkles. I enjoyed the ice cream mixer but it is very sweet, so I wasn't able to finish it. The workers were nice and fast. The shop is small so not really a place to sit if the two tables are taken. Incredibly poorly managed! They were completely out of cones because the manager did not reorder the batter. I ordered the advertised speciality flavor and she scooped my ice cream and put it on the slab. She then proceeded to walk away for 5 mins and when she came back she said it was too melted and dumped it back in the container. I picked a replacement flavor but it also seemed half melted. I took my ice cream to eat in the car and after a few bites, found myself chewing on something that was not food. It appeared to be some type of paper. I threw the entire cup away. Customer service was very poor. The moment we walked in the African American pregnant female was mean mugging us. The atmosphere was uninviting. I asked to sample the brown sugar and the Hispanic female said they didn't have that one out right now. The guy Martin had a rude look on his face as well. This place needs to shutdown for a while and be deep cleaned! I visited this location on 3/24/19 and the stench alone made me want to run for the hills! I tried to wait in line which I expected them to have on a beautiful 70 degree day but I just couldn't take the smell. It smelled like sweat, urine and dirty dish rags . I began to look around wondering why it smelled so aweful and noticed that even the glass was filthy! I about-faced and got out of there! We have gone to 2 different locations in Greensboro (different owners), and there is a big difference! This staff at this location is well trained and know how to mix the toppings into the ice cream very well. Also, they give a proper amount of toppings for the amount of ice cream being purchased. I have received very friendly, and prompt service from them and will definitely go back. read more

It is dirty, the sample topping look decayed, the quality of the waffle cones was awful, and the idea of actually chopping the ingredients into your ice cream is not followed through. There's always a good selection of flavors here and the mixing of the goodies into the icecream is fun. My favorite combination is the Cookie Doent You Want Some, which has vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, cookie dough, and chocolate chips. Absolute horrible management and ownership. I had 2 frequent buyer punch cards, one with 9 punches, 1 with 1 punch, they would not accept them for the free Love It ice cream. They told me in was not possible to combine the punches on the 2 seperate cards and that it was cold stone policy you had to have 1 card fully punched. I spoke with the owner who lied to me and said he was just the manager, and no employee could comprehend combining the 9 punches on 1 card and 1 punch on the other card. I have visited several Cold Stones over the years and while the quality of the ice cream is similar to others, this one is not the best run. I came here during a slow time where I was only the second customer in line, and it took a while for me to order. Also, I have observed that is understaffed and it seemed there was a conflict in the back room since I heard some of the employees arguing while waiting. I also left a tip, and they did not sing as they usually do. I am not sure if that is a requirement for all Stone Cold Creamery locations, but this was the first time I had visited one of these locations where they didn't sing.
