There are dirty marks all over the place, from wear marks in commonly touched areas, peeling wall paper, dusty air vents (don't look up), dirty windows, and run down sitting area... the place has seen better days. But, we're here for ice cream! The coolers look fine Service is great. There are so many great things on the menu... it's hard to make a decision sometimes. The lady behind the counter was very patient as we made our order. Once we decided, she was off scooping and mixing. Everything was delicious. They begin closing about an hour early nearly everyday to the point where items are not available because they don't want to dirty utensils they've already cleaned. I have arrived 30 minutes before closing before and the door was already locked and the employees move to the back room to avoid being seen. This evening, once again, one hour before closing they were "out of milk" so no milkshakes could be made, I have never been able to get a milkshake within 1 hour of closing and this is always the excuse. We have been to other Cold Stones and have never encountered one this DIRTY. They have 2 small tables and only 2 chairs. All were filthy. I asked if I could get them cleaned and they offered me dry napkins. Huge hole in the wall, bathroom with hand written closed sign on it . Ice cream was super soft and the waffle cone I paid extra for was old and stale. I don't believe the ice cream that was served was the normal size and the add in's were skimpy. It was very warm inside, I noticed that the thermostat was set at 82 which explains the soft ice cream. I was hoping by posting this review that the owners would step up and clean this place up , however after reading the reviews I can see that sadly the owner does not care. I always forget that there's a Coldstone in Esco and finally remembered to go to it tonight. My daughter and I decided to use my BOGO coupon after dinner. When we got there, there were no customers at the moment. My daughter and I decided to have their smallest size ice creams for today. Shd had Chocolate flavor while I had half coffee and half Cookie Butter. Both of us decided to not have any toppings which was unusual since we love the extras. My ice cream was very delicious! I was surprised that my 2 flavors blended very well together. The coffee flavor helped the cookie butter not be too sweet. We decided to eat inside the store. The reason for the 4 stars is for the store itself. 1. The ceiling fans were on and while one of them was going, it looked like there was a blinking strobe light/flashlight inside the store. The last couple times I just chalked it up to the servers not paying attention to what they're doing. But now it appears to be a thing. This location is FILTHY. The owners need to invest in a deep cleaning and maintain it. There were 2 employees working. When I walked in, they just looked at me, no greeting, no how can I help you. A young man helped me and before he scooped my ice cream he scratched his scalp leaning over the ice cream. Whilst mixing the add-ins, he wiped his nose with his sweatshirt. I should have just said never mind at that point, but the young man was kind enough to put a generous amount of add-ins so I felt bad. I threw my ice cream in the trash after I left. I could not eat it. If the employee was willing to display his nasty behaviors in front of me, there's no telling what they do when there are not any customers. Speaking of the company I of course asked to speak to the manager about getting a discount for the inconvenience which I thought was fair seeing as how the company had failed me on so many levels already. TERRIBLE! I absolutely love cold stone but this particular location had horrible/lack of customer service. We walked in today around 330pm, the place is like a sauna. My 2 young children and I waited to be greeted by someone for at least 6-8 minutes and no one came out. We had to wait outside because it was so hot and uncomfortable inside. A worker finally came out of the bathroom and saw that my party and another party were waiting. She looked at us and just walked straight to the back. But they keep enough flavors in inventory for a creative mind, like myself, to concoct new varieties of scrumptious delights. Learn to experiment with your flavors; not only with the toppings, but the cones and the icecream combos itself. Mixing up different variety of flavors, helps to diversify the tastes and will keep you on your toes. I think the only downside to this shop is that because of it's compact size, when there's a large crowd incoming, waiting in line can get cramped-up. No bueno!
