After planning for months for a very important milestone double Sweet 16th birthday party and going over the most special cake design for two girls it couldn't have been more of a disappointment. I ordered this cake 4 days ahead and when I went to the Coldstone in Dartmouth to pick it up on Thursday night for the Friday night party they first could not find my cake order which was the largest cake size customized order. After the scare, they finally said oh yeah, the large rectangular custom cake I was relieved, got the cake and rushed home to put it in the freezer. The disappointment hit when we opened and served the cake. The entire custom cake order with all the dozen plus options were either not done or at best minimal. No decorations on the top as ordered, and NO mix-in's, which is the best part for the taste/kids. I couldn't show my disappointment at the time for this almost $100 cake, but I was pretty shocked. I basically received a chocolate cake bottom with a vanilla ice cream top layer with plain happy birthday writing; the equivalent of going to the market and buying a Carvel Ice Cream Cake for a fraction of the cost. I have no idea if this is made by the store employees, or shipped over to the store, but how much of a huge letdown it was is beyond. There is no rectifying the situation no return. I wasn't going to even bother but being the next day when my daughter brought up, "you know mom, I wasn't going to say it last night with everything you did for me, but they really screwed up the cake we were so excited about and designed". Well yes, they did. I did reach out to the customer service number and left messages with no reply as of yet as well as emails. At this point at least a response would be appreciated. read more

Great place to go if you want them to decide what size you're going to get for you but charge you for the larger!! Maybe think about censoring the music you play? Hearing the swears and " n word " every other word isn't what people want to hear when they go to a "family" establishment When I arrived there was one person in front of me and I managed to wait 40 minutes. Unfortunately, the service here was pretty unacceptable. The manager of then shop was scooping and making ice cream without gloves on similar to many other employees. there were only 3 people in front of us and we waited for over a half hour. the only non dairy option they have is chocolate almond milk and nothing for there shakes. honestly not the greatest experience. read more

First time here and I loved it! I got the cheesecake fantasy in a waffle cup,it was so good! The ice cream had just enough flavor and the waffle cup was crispy but not over done. Glad I gave this place a try cause I was sure missing out! I even bought 2 quart of ice cream to bring home. read more

The freezer was broken so the staff had to disappear into the back for the ice cream which does little to help a hungry patron decide what flavor "looks" good. The ice cream was great though, and after ordering the Birthday Cake Remix in a Waffle Bowl, I was enjoying every bite. read more

Vegan review. Stopped by today, it's too hot out! The server was really helpful, she didn't know if the sorbets were vegan but she asked the manager. She was friendly as well. I had the "countrytime pink lemonade" and "hibiscus" small. Surprisingly, the hibiscus was better, (well maybe not too surprising given that countrytime lemonade is like sweet pink drinkable sandpaper). The problem with their sorbet is that it's overly sweet and processed tasting. When I think of sorbet, I think of fruity and fresh. But given that it's been 90 degrees, I am sure I will stop in again. read more

I've never been disappointed in this ice creamery. Now that it is Texas hot in Massachusetts seems we are here daily. Huge variety if you choose of flavors and mix in's. I try to keep it simple with a coffee flavor or the pink champagne sorbet. Enjoy!! read more

This is not my "go to" ice cream place, but we decided to give it a try. I ordered the Strawberry Blonde Sundae. It didn't really blow me away. The whipped topic tasted like cool whip, which I did not care for. There was supposed to be caramel, but there was barely any on it. There was strawberries, but very few. I felt like I was eating just an ordinary scoop of strawberry ice cream. Abner got some sundae involving cookie dough ice cream. He thought it was okay. My daughter ordered a cotton candy shake. I noticed she didn't finish it and tossed it when we got home. I had high hopes for Coldstone, but I was disappointed. I am glad that I had used a coupon and got one sundae free. I'm giving this Cold Stone Creamery in Dartmouth 4 stars... Not 5 because of the prices. However, they really do have such yummy ice cream flavors & concoctions... My family & I really enjoy coming here. This particular month they're featuring a new "flavor" called shark bite; in honor of Shark Week, the tv show. My boys loved it!! I usually get "Peanut Butter Perfection... But I really always feel that it lacks in flavor. When I tried it earlier today, I had it with cheesecake ice cream instead! & what a difference! It truly made it "perfection." I don't mind this ice cream place at all... The prices are a little higher than most, but I would say that you get what you pay for. The seating inside is EXTREMELY limited... Which is a bit of a turn off, especially in the winter months when it's cold outside. Inside not only do they have ice cream "to go", but they also have ice cream cakes etc. It's location is great, however! Next to oodles of stores, so there's plenty of parking also. The highway is literally a flick away, so grab your ice cream before it melts & get home safely :) read more

When I first "discovered" this place, I fell in love. My first two visits were everything a girl who loves ice cream to dream of: ice cream exactly how I want it. The last two visits were the complete opposite. The service was horrible as the staff was more interested in talking to their friends and what the other staff was not doing. I did not get what I wanted on my orders even though I was asked multiple times. So I have to say, it is not the ice cream that went bad it was the service. I still recommend the ice cream and if you are lucky to get the order you want - then you will have a great experience. read more
