Well. Thursday night. Summer night. Line out the door and one poor girl working. 2 others doing God knows what. Online orders. No sense of urgency for the 30 pissed off people out the door. We were very impressed with this cold stone. When we first got there we had to wait in line behind about 6 people. The one employee behind the counter and all of out ice cream orders taken care of in just a couple minutes. The cold stone in rexburg moves at a much slower rate. The establishment also felt very clean, the ice cream was great, and we'll be coming again. read more

This is usually our go to for ice cream because of all of the awesome flavors. However, a few nights ago when we dropped in for some ice cream, we had a bad experience. We were off put by a few things. First, it was a Friday night with only one person working. This caused most of our problems. The worker messed up 2/4 ice creams and only corrected one. We asked for cones on both of them and only got one cone. She also seemed to be struggling to handle the customers by herself (can't blame her, its hard to do that kind of a job alone). The worst part though, was what we saw in the ice cream. The vanilla flavor had what looked like a big gnat in it. This was disgusting, especially after we realized there were more of them flying around. Cold Stone is usually the best place in town so this visit was very disappointing. read more

Pretty good ice cream you get to pick what kind of ice cream then what you want in it. After that they literally put the ice cream on a cold stone and mix the ingredients together. Really delicious they also have sherbet for those worried about calories. Then to top it off if you give a tip they all sing some little song totally amusing! read more

Great! But one guy never really cuts up my add ins (cookie dough) so I'm left with a few huge chunks that my spoon can't break up to even out in the ice cream... This review is solely for a cake order, it wasn't what I would consider really "special" since it just came out of the book was moderate in size, only specification "Happy Birthday {name}" on it, but full disclosure- decide for yourself. We ordered this cake for my daughter's birthday. Placed the order and paid for it 1 day shy of 2 weeks in advance to make sure they had plenty of time to prepare and complete it timely and had already been paid so it's not at all like they would be expected not to be paid for their product. So we were surprised by the call- day of delaying pickup for another hour as the cake had not been prepared until that morning and needed to set for another hour, which was frustrating but fine as I had scheduled picking it up an hour before the party. So I made arrangements to let the party start without me and let them know I would in fact be bringing cake. However, even then the cake was already severely melted before we started eating it less than half an hour after picking it up. It had leaked all over the table and pooled all around it so we ended up using a lot more tables than expected without table covers (which I was shocked when there wasn't an additional charge), and giving cake to complete strangers (awkward) to avoid the mess getting any bigger. It didn't taste that bad considering it was melted ice cream on top of cake surrounded by frosting, it's just not anything I would ever pay ~$40 for ever again. You know when it is full of sugar and lots of it and young kids will still leave it on their plates . . . yeah. Not worth the frustration and extra expense, especially where I cannot think of anything more I could have done to prevent it. I still like their ice cream, and I love going here when inspiration strikes but could not in good conscience let this happen to anyone else without fair warning. read more
