From my first call to the pick up of the cake, this shop staff was beyond friendly and professional. Their cake and filling choices were mind-boggling (I swear I drooled when they mentioned chocolate mousse cake and chocolate buttercream frosting... but I digress) - I ended up going with vanilla cake and white buttercream to please Ken, but I rebelled slightly, adding a thin layer of strawberry preserves above the inner layer of frosting. Their half sheet cake comes with two layers not the more popular one layer, and feeds 40-50 (we had 40 family members at the party, and there was at least 1/3rd of the cake left). Their 'normal' decoration on top is gorgeous. Gorgeous. Fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries and blueberries - some of it sparkle sugared) and dark chocolate accents. $50. I have no idea if that's expensive or not, but I'd buy another cake from Petit 4 in a heartbeat! OK, on to the flavor, which is most important after all (a gorgeous cake only gets you so far). Tender, airy, spongy cake with a definite vanilla flavor. The frosting... absolute perfection. No grit. No crunchy outside. No teeth squeekingly sweet, fake frosting here! Light, smooth, creamy. You can tell you ate some dessert, but you won't feel (that) guilty. Guests had seconds and took home slices too.

The store was clean, organized, cute pup treats and items for canines. Overall, celiacs be alert! Happy travels! ((No food was consumed or purchased so this is not based on quality of product))
