When we finished our dinner we sat with dirty plates for a very long time before they were removed. 4. Coming from Toronto typically when bars/restaurants learn of a special occasion they will comp something or send out celebratory shooters to "get the party going" - could be the area, but was a little disappointed by the lack of acknowledgement from the establishment. However the Food was good, traditional pub fare. Nothing outstanding. Price was a little expensive for what you do get. Drinks were underwhelming. We don't recommend the margaritas. Tasted like bar lime - no tequila taste and for 12-13$ (Toronto pricing) they really should have tasted better considering. Surprised most drinks were $9+ for the area and they were out of coolers and had limited options. There was supposed to be live music but they didn't arrive or go on. Shocked at how large the bowl of chowder was for the price, and they did not skimp out on the ingredients. No one wants a chowder that's 80% roux/cream base and 20% veggies with canned or frozen seafood mixed in. Be forewarned that finding parking on Main St Newmarket can be challenging during events and busier times/seasons!
