She also gave me a heads-up on the days that she will not be available and instructions on who to reach if I have further questions. So far I am impressed with their service. I have had experience with other rental management personnel that does not respond at all or not notifying me if they will be late for the showing and I ended up waiting for half hour in the rain with my 2 small kids.

All of the employees that I worked with from A-to-B (Bob, Diana, & Nayelly) were always very kind and helpful to me. I really feel that they built a trusting relationship with me and always cared for me as a renter. I also enjoyed living in a property where my neighbors were homeowners as they all really cared about the community and the long-term relationships they established and held with their neighbors. I felt very comfortable throughout all the years that I rented my home from A to B. The payment and maintenance portal was also very easy to use and they almost always fixed anything that needed maintenance within a few days whenever possible. Overall, I had a very positive experience renting my previous home from A to B - Had I not become a homeowner myself, I would have continued to rent from them! :D

I'm extremely disappointed with how this application process was handled. Before applying, we…read morespecifically called to make sure we understood the rental requirements because we did not want to waste our time or money applying for a property we would not qualify for. We were told by the woman who answered the phone that one person on the lease could qualify/co-sign for the other applicants. Based on that information, all three of us moved forward with the application, paid the required fees, had our credit checked, and even took the time to visit the property because we were told that was required. We were then denied because all applicants were required to individually meet the qualifications. That is the exact information we were trying to clarify BEFORE applying. Had we been given accurate information from the beginning, we would not have submitted the applications, paid the fees, taken the credit inquiries, or spent our time visiting the property. I understand that properties have qualification requirements, and I have no issue with a company enforcing them. My issue is being given information by an employee that directly influenced our decision to apply, only to later be denied based on a requirement that contradicted what we were told. This entire experience felt misleading and was completely avoidable with clear and accurate communication from the beginning.

Unlike the big real estate mill firms, I really feel like the level of personal attention and service is in a level above. My only quibble is that it's so freaking hard to find housing around here. The landlord refused to change a lot of things including kitchen cabinets and stove. We performed professional lead test for $1600 out of pocket after receiving positive result from lead test bought at Amazon. We moved out before the rent expired, they did help us find a new tenants, but surpise surpise charged us $3000 without a proof of work (before & after pictures) essentially to resurface the wooden floor, which we cared for. It suffered abosulely no damage by us except for maybe marker pen by kids, we tried washing some of them off and it was coming off, so it didnt need the whole resurfacing work. We feel lied to and exploited to renovate the super old house. We left behind the dishwasher and kitchen island and Ring doorbell all brand new, and landlord refused to pay even $200 for everything included. The price was symbolic, because the dishwasher cost us $600 from Costco and Kitchen Island $500 from IKEA, Ring Doorbell dont remember. New tenants ended up buying those things. Worst experience I've had with landlords so far, the landlord felt super greedy. UPD: Wanted to clarify couple of points: * The management company was ok, Christopher was responsive * Amanda helped us find new tenants quickly when we wanted to terminate the lease early * There was NO lead problem (conclusion of the environmental report), but problem with who should pay for the evaluation. Owner refused to pay anything even though they were interested in this report as well (their words, not mine) The reason I left this review to the company is because I can't leave this review to the house owner, I just have nowhere to leave it. I wish the company would stop working with landlords like this, and do a better job of protecting the renter's interests as well, not just the landlord's. After all they're the mediators between the two.

He's very unprofessional, was always cut and dry and never even took the time to meet us. I don't understand why landlords give him their business. When we vacated the property he deducted $160 for leaving a brand new box of ice cream bars and an unopened bottle of soda in the refrigerator. He also deducted another $630 for a cleaning and an additional $25 for "air fresheners" bc he claimed the home smelled like dogs even though we paid $300 extra each month in our rent to account for the dogs. We had the place sanitized before we left and btw, the new tenants loved our dogs and were excited that we had dogs bc they did as well. These deductions were total BS and just went into his pockets. I highly suggest staying away from NorCal Property Management in San Jose. If you're a landlord, do you want the headaches that come with this guy? See the receipt attached for "air fresheners." Do yourself a favor and hire a different property manager or you may get sued.
