There's not too much one can say about what is essentially a coffee shop serving travellers and commuters as they wait for their trains. This one isn't part of a chain, as far as I can figure out, and, in addition to serving the usual range of pastries and hot beverages you've come to expect from all coffee kiosks in the UK, they sell bottled smoothies and newspapers as well.
I was rather startled by the latter, and, in my sleep-deprived state, started looking through the papers, thinking I could take one with me, before my partner pointed out that they were most likely for sale. There was no one at the counter at the time, so, thankfully, I didn't have to explain what could potentially have looked like petty theft.
We ordered hot chocolates given the cold winter's day (I don't generally take my chances with coffee at such places) and was happy to find that it was not too bad at all. My partner found it on the sweet side, but that's exactly what I like, so that was more than good enough for me. read more
