Custom sandwich and local everything bagel
Michael W.

Started off great. Large selection of coffee and specialty drinks. Good food menu. Nice relaxing atmosphere. But the wait time for food was simply unacceptable. My wife's sandwich took around 20 minutes and they somehow forgot about my simple bagel. I asked about it about 30 minutes in and was served a hard and cold bagel that had clearly been sitting there a long time. Coffee was good. Seating area outside was nice. Wouldn't return but if you decide to, make sure you order online or just get coffee.

Great place to sit and have a snack! Love the covered outdoor seating. It's always been busy when I'm there and the people working there are so nice. The coffee is pretty average

They can make any of their items, any time, love the concept. It is at the edge of the business district as you enter town from Falmouth. (The other end of Water St dumps into Buzzard's Bay!) It is but a block away from the Island Ferry's dock. Not only do passengers for the ferry count on it, so do the students and staff at the Marine Biological Lab and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and, of course, the myriads of tourists all summer, to add to the year around crowds. It can be swamped and relatively slow to get food if a ferry has just docked, so be patient, the huge staff is working as fast as they can. The inside seating is tight, but most locals take their food and drinks to go. The patio is mostly covered and can seat a lot of tourists like us. The Ferry riders also take to go if leaving and eat here if returning from the Vineyard and not taking the shuttle back to the huge parking lots in Falmouth right away. No matter what time of day we are in town, I have always ordered the same thing in recent years since it was added to the menu. I have never seen an egg, bacon and cheese sandwich served on a freshly baked popover anywhere else. I love popovers and always order when I find one in a unique version. My husband orders with more variety and he gets coffee and I get iced tea. If our stay is longer than this one, we also love taking out their freshly baked pastries. Every single staff member has always been helpful and courteous. You could never wish for anything more in this town, for these sorts of meals. It is not even expensive, not even in this day and age.

My wife had a ham and cheese sandwich with apple, and she devoured it. It was so tasty! The chocolate chip cookie was big, soft, and packed with chocolate. The outdoor patio was big and comfortable. We were able to get a spot and not be crushed by relentless wind. Definitely recommend if you stop in Woods Hole.

Rare 5 Star Review: Phenomenal products and pleasant staff…read more Stepping into Maison Villatte in Falmouth is like being instantly transported to the heart of Paris. The aroma of freshly baked dough and caramelized sugar fills the air, drawing you toward immaculate display cases filled with a stunning variety of treats. Every single item is a testament to authentic French baking technique, featuring perfectly laminated, buttery croissants that shatter with crispness, vibrant fruit tarts with flawlessly structured crusts, and dense, velvety eclairs. Whether you are grabbing a crusty, artisanal baguette or indulging in a luxurious mille-feuille, the exceptional quality of the imported ingredients and the meticulous craftsmanship shine through in every single bite. Beyond the extraordinary pastries and savory savories, the atmosphere makes this boulangerie an absolute destination. Even when the lines stretch long on busy summer weekends, the energetic, smartly aproned staff handle the rush with incredible warmth and effortless professionalism. The rustic, charming interior combined with the view of bakers working hard at the ovens in the back adds a comforting, lively energy to the entire experience. It is easily the finest bakery on Cape Cod, and an absolute must-visit neighborhood treasure that will leave you eager to return the very next morning. What a find! Thanks

This little French bakery in Falmouth MA was new to us on our last trip a couple of years ago. I…read morehave no idea how long it has existed but certainly not back when we lived nearby. We returned this visit on a very hot day and with very busy downtown, so parking close was a must. Sadly, there was hardly any parking at all so "nearby" became only a wish. It was quite a hike to this shop. But it was worth it. We had already eaten lunch and our goal was a French pastry each for dessert and the option to sit inside in the cooled room to eat. We found 2 seats at the nearby eating counter and enjoyed the sweet snack. The line was exceptionally long so it did take a while to get our treat. You need to browse the case as you wait in line and be ready to order as you reach the front of the line, which luckily parallels the case, affording a decent view. The staff member, who has rotated back to the front of the staff line, will pull what you want from the case, bag or box it as appropriate to the pastry, run it to the cashier and then return back into the staff line. When you see the staff member do that, turn yourself around and head to the cashier line and pay. Then find a place to eat. If it is completely full inside, there are benches outside, across the street on the library lawn. We have done that in the past. Be sure you get your drinks from the cashier because getting back in line to order them later is counterproductive to having a nice time. This time I ordered a berry custard tart and my husband ordered the pear caramel custard tart. The crust was beautifully made, as always, all classic French flavors filling them. There are breads and pastries of all kinds from croissants to eclairs. Most people order a lot and take out in a box for entertaining or a group waiting for them somewhere else. Honestly, when it's this good and this beautiful, and this crowded, I never even looked at the prices. It was worth whatever it was.

This ice cream shop is located in Vineyard Haven, with a nice outdoor seating area right in front of it. They focuses more on the baked goods, as the name suggests, but this location has more than that. They offer rich ice cream made fresh in house, and also, gelato and sorbet too. I hear they offer gluten-free and vegan sorbet there also. I decided to get 2 Scoops, with Oreo and Strawberry. You can have your ice cream in different kinds of cones, such as sugar cone, cake cone, or waffle cone. But they have even more options on top of that. They had chocolate dipped cones, with or without sprinkles. I had to get one with Chocolate Covered Waffle Cone. The Ice cream scoops were huge! Very generous amount, and they were very rich and creamy. The Chocolate Covered Waffle Cone was great too, crispy and crunchy. The chocolate added extra flavor, making it to the next level. They also offer many kinds of toppings on your ice cream, such as caramel, walnuts, hot fudge, etc., if you need to make it even more decadent. We had a nice little chill out time at their patio, while having this perfect dessert on a hot day.
