The spot is located right in town along the water. There was a bit of a wait but we were able to grab a drink and sit on the patio while we waited for them to call our name. Our waitress was absolutely lovely. The stuffed mushrooms came highly recommended so we ordered those for an app and did not regret it. We ordered the swordfish and chicken breast for entrees. The garlic chipotle sauce on the chicken was SO GOOD. We loved both meals and would easily order again! Only regret - we didn't leave room for dessert. And seriously $13.99 for a gluten free cheeseburger and fries, come on! RUN to this place and keep it going. We need places like this. The only negative is they need a non dairy alternative cheese. Goat, Vegan, something. But they have a HUGE Gluten-free menu. Even a dessert menu. This is amazing! Tip: free parking in lot across the street. This is in a hotel but has drop off area.

I was intrigued by the hot stone concept with hot stone for two you got shrimp, steak, pork and scallops and then a choice of one side of each and choice of about 5 sauces. The meat took awhile to come out maybe it was more so waiting for a stone to free up because we cooked the food ourselves so not sure about the delay. I like the concept I think only tricky thing is trying to cook all the meat and still have flavor as it can't be seasoned while on the rock. The sauces felt like they could use some work. The one called chimichurri cream tasted nothing like a chimichurri. the best way to go us probably ranch or cocktail sauce the others were a bit hit and miss which was unfortunate since the meat isn't marinated or anything. The onion rings could have used a little more crunch to them. I think for future I would just order something else but it was fun trying the stone at least once. It looks like a nice classic restaurant maybe on the older side than some of the more modern spots downtown. If you need gluten free looked like they had lots of options and there was a waffle menu too which sounded good.

The only downside was that it was difficult to hear across the table, but we were told they're looking into soundproofing some areas--probably because of the high ceilings. They're open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and may consider taking reservations in the future, but not yet. Food: Service: We'll definitely be back!

Very cute breakfast spot!…read more We visited on a Sunday morning around 10am and had a short wait of about 20 minutes before we were seated in a little booth made for two. Since the restaurant was busy, it was a little loud inside but not unbearable. Drinks: Initially I wanted to try one of their breakfast cocktails but after seeing the list of specialty coffees, lattes, and teas - I opted for a London Fog and my boyfriend had the Matcha Latte. Both were very tasty!! I love a London Fog!! For food: We ordered four cream puffs to share. After gobbling those down we wished we had ordered the plate of eight instead! They were incredible! Light and airy with delicious cream filling and a little dollop of strawberry preserves!! Sooo good!!!! For my main dish I chose the Monte Cristo! Although a bit too sweet with the additional drizzle of strawberry jam on top of the sandwich it was very good and had a generous portion of ham in it. The brioche bread was a perfect choice to hold it all together. I also appreciated that they chose to lightly dust it with powdered sugar. I feel like, oftentimes, you get something that is just caked in powered sugar so the lighter dusting was perfect! My boyfriend had the fig and prosciutto omelette, which we both agreed was okay, but not necessarily what we expected. The goat cheese inside made for a really fantastic, fluffy omelette but it seemed to lack in the amount of fig I would have expected, as well as the amount of prosciutto. My boyfriend thought that the agave nectar drizzled on top was a bit too much. He said "why add sugar to it?" He felt it would have been much better without it. Overall thoughts: I liked that the restaurant had a large selection of breakfast items to choose from. Some places focus on traditional breakfast dishes with eggs and the usual sides of potatoes and bacon, while others lean more towards sweet breakfast options. This place offers both along with brunch options like breakfast burgers, sandwiches and salads. There's plenty to choose from while keeping the prices similar to those of nearby breakfast spots. If I'm in town for breakfast, I'll probably go back here again! Breakfast is not my favorite meal, and I appreciate that this place offers more options to choose from.

I believe it's the oldest restaurant in Minnesota, and it definitely has that historic charm. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday, and it was a really nice experience. The place is well-kept, and the inside has lots of old photos and antiques, which add to the cool atmosphere. The service was great--everyone was friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was decent. We tried the steak, lobster, salmon, and their famous onion rings. The onion rings were probably the standout, but overall, the food was just okay, especially considering the prices, which are a bit on the high side for the area. Drinks were fine, nothing too special. If you're ever near Rochester or in southern Minnesota, I'd definitely recommend stopping by. The restaurant is worth a visit for the history alone, and the town of Mantorville is super cute with nice people. It's a great little place to explore!
