He had looked up restaurants that served a full English breakfast, and Kennington Lane Cafe was highly regarded, and it happened to be a few minutes away from our B&B. We loved our breakfast so much that we went back a second day. What I liked about the menu was that is was easy to create exactly what you wanted. You could order a set breakfast (and easily add on extra sides), or you could pick and choose what you wanted, and make the breakfast as small or as large as needed to match your appetite. The breakfast I created had a small steak, fried mushrooms and tomatoes, and bubble and squeak. Delicious! I don't have an itemized bill of exactly what we ordered and the price of each item, but the totals on my credit card bill are £20.89 the first day and £20.50 the second day, and each bill included breakfast and coffee for two. I did enjoy my tea and cake and the cake was homemade but it was a bit of a small portion to justify the £3 price. However I appreciate the vicinity of the cafe probably warrants the price and it is in quite a touristy area with the London Eye a 5 min walk away.
