Two stars because our juices were good and it has a nice atmosphere, also really we decorated, takes you out of the city and into Bali. But the food was not good at all hence why I won't return. We ordered the vegan option and it came out with cream on top, ordered it again without the cream, but the dish was still not tasty. Too many spices that didn't go well together. It looks like another Pijp place where looks are more important than substance. What a gorgeous space! It's huge and beautifully decorated. The vibe is great. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. The drink selection is solid. My one complaint is the food was really bad. I had the beef tacos (it comes with two) and only ate one of them. The meat was chewy, the guac wasn't fresh (if you can't make it fresh, why bother?), it was super salty and had no flavor. I opted for a pain au chocolate instead. It was fine, nothing special. I'll go back again - maybe I ordered poorly. With better food it would be an easy 5 stars. read more

Went to this place expecting greatness after reading reviews. While there wasn't anything horrible about, nothing really wowed me either. I left thinking I could have made my breakfast at home better. I wasn't impressed. Coconut pancakes tasted nothing like coconut either. Coffee and Coconuts is one of the cutest and most comfortable cafés I've ever enjoyed. The interior feels like a California-beach-loft, with multiple open floors, lots of couches, soft chairs, low tables and varied seating areas. It's extremely cozy and somewhere I could definitely see setting up with some work, a cup of coffee and one of their lovely pastries. My friend and I came for lunch and were able to get a set on a couch at a low table. The waiter was very helpful with menu decision, also in finding us one of the few English menus. We started with smoothies, I got the Blackberry Cooler and my friend got the Coconut Coffee. Mine was fruity and refreshing and the coffee felt like a chocolate milkshake (but so much healthier). Both were delicious and I would easily order either again. For lunch, we shared the spinach and carrot salad which was so yummy and fresh. The carrots were in long strips, making it almost blend in with the spinach leaves. The dressing was creamy and tart but not too heavy to overtake the veggies. For my entree, I got the Korean Shrimp Tacos. They were so flavorful and the texture of the shrimp was perfect. The corn tortillas were nice and soft so they didn't just crumble in my hands. The sauce was light and a delicious companion to the shrimp. My friend got the beet burger which had an amazing texture and subtle beet flavor. If we weren't on our way to Amsterdam's famous appletaart after, I also had my eye on a sweet loaf of something topped with a beautiful floral glaze. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone in the area. It is a unique place where the amazing decor and vibe doesn't compensate for poor food. Both food and decor are absolutely lovely! read more

They have excellent drinks and food offerings. I will strongly recommend their soft brew V60. For folks with penchant for stronger coffees try flat white, double shot. The food is really cool and Monique's unique brownie is all sorts of wonderful! They have a small work area with beautiful lights where you can hang, or take a big plushy couch or find a place at wood grained tables laid out at different levels. This place is big and a bit overwhelming at first but, as you spend time you will realise how relaxed you get. Me and my friends went to this place Friday morning and ordered pancakes and coffee. When the waitress served the coffee, she accidentally dropped the coffee and it spilled all over my jacket and backpack( my computer is in it) and my phone. It is okay that accidents happen but we want at least a warm apology. However, the server basically just say that she was sorry and that's all. Also, my friends waited about 30mins for her food and when she checked with that waitress. The girl completely forgot the order and we have to wait another 20mins. The food here is fine and the experience is just so disappointed and I have to take my jacket to the dry cleaning shop to pay for it by myself to make it clean. Such a "wonderful" morning read more

Ive been here a couple of times now and while its an absolutely beautifull space, the service is atrocious. Amsterdam is not well known for its amazing service anyways but this just takes the cake.... last time I couldnt have a dish without an ingredient because the chef was to busy and it would complicate things and today we ordered ginger tea and asked if we could please have it without the skin and the server came back and told us the barista refused to cut the skin of the ginger Excuse me? You do realise that you work in the hospitality industry?? If the baristas have enough time to make 'art' on the coffee Im sure they have enough time to cut the skin of the ginger. Three stories of an open air cafe, very interesting layout with tons of seating and space - great pit stop cafe for work or relaxing in a good neighborhood. Coffee is a bit more expensive than other places but good and interesting beverages available, great service and great wifi. Sat here, filled out some postcards, ordered an iced coffee beverage and enjoyed an hour of relaxing before continuing on my travels. read more
