Found this little gem as we were running errands this morning. I ordered an Iced Caramel Macchiato with almond milk and my husband ordered a croissant with sausage, egg, and cheese. Not sure if COVID has interfered with indoor dining but we were given the option of sitting on the patio or taking it to go. When we explained that we were new to town and had just found them, Dr. Patel asked our names, where we moved from, and what brought us to Beeville. He suggested a few other local businesses and introduced us to the two other diners eating on the patio. When he brought our food to the car, we discussed their "cause" that is listed on their sign "Coffee for a Cause". I'm all about supporting local... can't wait to return. They have a Facebook page where they highlight other businesses as well as planned menu items. How often do we see a food place with 25 reviews and 5 stars ?? Well this place has is 5 stars. Small and inviting coffee shop with a twist. I had the Carmel Iced coffee it was perfect. The espresso they use is very tasty and the crema was amazing. Then on Friday they serve a world inspired lunch today was Turkey. Two beef kabobs over lemon infused rice with humus. We had a great experience. It was our first visit, and we went through the drive thru. The staff was super friendly and patiently outlined what all they offer and provided several suggestions on drinks and food. We ended up getting our usual hot Americanos, and they were excellent. Definitely recommend stopping by if you find yourself in need of caffeine or breakfast/brunch items. read more

I haven't written a review in months, but some places are worth breaking out the app again and getting to it. This is my first time in Beeville, and I was in need of caffeine. I Live in Seattle, so I'm used to being surrounded by coffee shops, and was a little apprehensive when I saw only one coffee shop in town. I had no reason to be apprehensive, this place is absolutely wonderful. The espresso was full-bodied and delicious, and filled my need for good coffee. The egg croissant was absolutely wonderful with a special pesto mayo that the owner whipped up that morning... Absolutely lovely to have for breakfast on my way to Corpus Christi. Let me just say, the staff was absolutely delightful. I find myself getting a little bit down most days because I listen to the news, and I hear about all of the terrible things going on in the world. It makes me almost lose faith in humanity. But, talking to the wonderful owner of the coffee barrel this morning, my faith was absolutely restored. He explained to me how the mission of the coffee barrel is to help the community around it, supporting through a variety of initiatives that help the people and the planet. He was so friendly, and was willing to sit and chat with me, something I'm not used to as someone who's been living on the West Coast for a couple years now. It was amazing to have a lovely, kind, caring, Conversation with a stranger who clearly put a lot of love into his work and into the people around him. The gal at the window was wonderful as well, humoring my questions and being willing to serve me with an absolutely chipper attitude. The people at the Coffee Barrel really reminded me that people have so much good in them, and it really is a wonderful world. Wasn't expecting to find a legit coffee "bar" in Beeville, but Coffee Barrel thoroughly fills the void. The place is simple, but well organized, clean and welcoming. The girls working the counter are always nice and answer whatever questions I have, so that I choose a drink I'll enjoy. I live in a coffee deprived small town, 30 minutes away from the coffee barrel, so I was excited when I discovered them last year. The coffee is high quality and amazing, and the prices are really low for what you get. I've tried a good number of drinks there, but my favorite and go to is the dirty chai!! It tastes great, and gives you a boost of energy. The cold brew is also good too. The owner and employees are really sweet and talkative. This place is a true small town gem. read more

This is the only coffee shop with espresso in Beeville. The coffee itself isn't bad, the customer service is good as the girls who work here do remember you and what kind of drinks you tend to order. It's a cute little coffee shop built almost like a red barn I would say (it's really cute). There is a nice swinging chair out back to enjoy your coffee / treat you have bought for yourself and from time to time they have music out back. There is free Wi-Fi which I've said in another post of mine, I think that is very progressive for Beeville's standards. That is a good thing. I always tend to get a dirty chocolate chi and its good here. This is a great place to just relax and enjoy moments to yourself while you are in Beeville. Folks who come in and out of this place are all really nice and very talkative. So, making friends is not going to be problem for you while coming in here. read more
