Service was below par. We weren't welcomed, more like we were a bother. Food was nothing to brag about. The music over the intercom overcome the music that was I believe live in another room. The waitress didn't care enough to check in but once and when I asked what was the bucket on the table was for, she said "peanuts" yet there were none. Also, other tables had bread baskets but we weren't not offered. The crab cakes had little flavor. I will say the food was hot and the food looked appetizing. The cocktail, was bogo but I didn't know that til served (yes, both at the same time). It was nice they brought me another one as a fly had found it's home in it mid drink.

Arrived on a Wednesday at 1:30 pm. Friendly greeting as we walked in. Petrolia themed decor with license plates adorning the walls. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Promptly seated in a booth and server was quick to take our order. I ordered the seafood special, a crab cake, 4 scallops and four shrimp on a skewer. I chose broccoli as my side and it was presented on a bed of yellow rice. Bread and salad were included. Good value for $20.00. My only complaint was that the scallops were overcooked. Dining companion enjoyed the New York strip special with a sweet potato. Steak cooked perfectly. Good dining experience. P.S. Complimentary peanuts on the table to enjoy.

Was a lil worried due to the star count. We were so tired and didn't want to drive anywhere and this place was a block from hotel. ***Peanut Allergy Alert*** peanuts on every table. Wow, pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was alive, hoping, had live music, decor was inviting and fun. Our server Trish...5 's, great up-seller too. Haha. Our meal was very good. The endless salad was exactly what I needed! Food cooked to liking, drinks excellent. We left thinking more peeps need to shout their experiences here. Come!

I'm not sure what's in this photo...too small to see.

ABYSMAL. First and 1000% LAST visit! We were excited because of the vibe and menu. Holy turd rolled in glitter, Batman! Here we go: SERVICE: The server took forever to come to our table. We told her it was our first visit. She said they they had just cut everyone, so it was a bad time to come! Uhhhh...great start. Didn't refill our water a single time. No asking if we wanted more of the "bottomless" salad. Rolling her eyes at every table. Okayyy.... FOOD: Cody's Original Roadhouse Salad took over a half hour to show up with rolls after ordering. Since we wanted different dressings, we each got a tiny bowl, not the fun silver bowls others got. Their "House Creamy Garlic Ranch Dressing" was Ken's ranch! Any ranch fan knows that! To back up that up, we can turn to the balsamic which was also, clearly, Ken's. BUTTER: I usually love fancy butters, but the cinnamon butter seemed like a weird nutty maple concoction that just wasn't right. It tasted like something I would have gotten from a pancake place in 1987. Yeast rolls were good. The wife sent back both of her 2-for-one margaritas. The fruit juice in the dirty-tasting water seemed bad. Pork sandwich: It was huge, but the pork was very iffy-tasted like horsemeat, so stopped after a few bites. Homemade potato chips would have been fun if they weren't cooked in old oil. Chicken over rice: Chicken was good, but for just under $16, it was so freaking thin & tiny! The yellow rice was ultra-meh. Mashed potatoes. DISGUSTING. I'm far from picky...instant mashed potatoes, gourmet mashed potatoes, just not loaded. These tasted like FISH. WHAT!? HOW does that even happen. Manager tasted it and said that's how it always is. Well, there ya go! Cody's fishy mashed potatoes are a thing. Skip this pig in a poke! It deserves the horrible ratings.

Fun place to go in the Villages. They do their best to accommodate celiacs; recommend sticking with the grilled salmon and loaded baked potato. Only salad dressing that is GF is their house ranch. I really like their fresh grilled grouper. We were there during a playoff game so it was very loud and busy. Took a while to get peanuts brought to the table.

This place does not deserve the low star count. It originally deterred me, but I'm glad we went. The happy hour here is unexpected; you get two drinks for the price of one. Not half off. You order a beer during happy hour and they literally bring you two beers. Never seen that before, but my table got a chuckle out of it. I understand why some reviewers didn't like what they ordered. Looking at photos, some of that input is fair. However, if you play it safe and order something fried you can't go wrong (there are plenty of options). This buffalo chicken sandwich was not only well made and well sauced, but it was the size of my head. Absolutely delicious and plenty for leftovers. I admit, the single onion was silly looking. Don't let the rating fool you. Give this place a chance. It's priced fairly, abd the staff were nice and attentive.

Excellent food and service Husband ordered petite filet and it was perfectly medium as ordered. W/broccoli & sweet potato which was dressed with cinnamon butter. GRACE was our server and hospitality was on the menu. We tipped her 50% Veterans Day here was special to see. They offer free meal to Veterans. The carrot cake was huge

Very fun and eclectic roadhouse bar/grill that had wall to wall decorations that just screamed American Roadtrip (license plates, photos, kitschy souvenir type stuff). Lots to look at! This restaurant is also just off the water, where you can spot a gator from time to time. We sat outside, which started to get a little buggy at one point, but was otherwise just fine. They had live music playing too, which was loud(!) but we were far enough away that we could at least still talk at our table. The food I tried was good and got exactly what I'd expect from a roadhouse joint. Pulled pork sandwich. Not pictured: delicious fries pick chips!

It's deep fried bar food and other pre-packaged items from the Sysco truck. This is not chef-made meals. I can do better eating at home.

Good burgers and great service worth a try while in The Villages. Rustic decor with rusty car parts give authentic roadhouse feel.

It was a cold day and we were looking forward to some Colombian cuisine which was new to us. The place was easy to overlook as the signage didn't really stand out. And more construction is ongoing along Hwy 301 further obscuring visibility into this location. In any case, this is not a "sit down" restaurant as we had to place our order before sitting down. We previously checked out the menu online so we pretty much knew what we wanted to order. I ordered the Paisa Bowl ($17) and my wife tried their Steak and Papas bowl ($20). We also ordered French fries ($3.50) and a can of Coke Zero ($2.50). I thought service was a tad slow (there were maybe 5 tables occupied including us) but we were served our lunch soon enough. Our first impressions were good presentation but the portions were meager. The fried pork belly pieces were nice and crunchy but there weren't enough of them. The ground beef had good flavors and I liked the fried egg over the rice and beans. My wife liked the flavor of the beef, although a bit fatty for her taste, but found the potatoes a bit dry and wished they were French fries instead. Speaking of French fries, it was served with this savory dipping sauce but again, the serving portion was miserly. My wife thought the guacamole was nice and fresh, making it the best part of her meal. All in all, we came away liking the flavors but thinking the value and portions were lacking. Service was a bit detached as well. Lunch for 2 with tip came out to just over $51.

They have limited table inside the building, but they also have tables outside the building. I first tasted their food when our friends invited us over to their house. They served brisket and smoked chicken. It was delicious. So, we decided to go there not long after we tasted the food from our friends' house. Our first experience at Artman's was great that we decided to return and bring some friends with us. The restaurant opened at 11:00am and we arrived a couple of minutes before they opened to make sure we were able to get a table. Understandably, the restaurant gets full very quickly because their food was that good. When the doors opened, our server told us to sit where we wanted. The restaurant was very clean inside which was the first thing I noticed. Even the bathroom was clean. I came craving ribs and that was exactly what I ordered. I ordered a half a slab of St. Louis ribs. The server, Melissa was great. She always made sure my glass of tea was always full. I found out that she had only been working there for a month. She had a lot of patience too because I changed my mind three times on the sides that came with my ribs. I originally ordered French fries and collard greens. Then, I changed it to collard greens and Mac & cheese. Then, I changed it again to collard greens and broccoli and rice casserole. Ordering the ribs was not a mistake. They serve the ribs the way I like it, no bbq sauce and they had 3 bottles of bbq sauce at each table for you to put on your ribs. They also had the vinegar and pepper for the greens. The ribs were delicious and cooked perfectly. I did not use any bbq sauce. I thought the ribs were perfect just the way they were. As I said, Artman's is at Summerfield jewel. Go and try it. You won't regret it. However, I do suggest getting there early so that you don't have a long wait.
