Do not under any circumstances use Cody Pest Control. We have a service contract with them for over $300 a year and when we called them today to come "spray" they told us they do not come out for one bug. So how many bugs do you think we need to have before they honor their service contract? 1 bug, 5 bugs, 10 bugs. The woman answering the phone was incredibly rude, disrespectful and dismissive to someone paying them hundreds of dollars and was yelling at me to calm down. Told me one bug wasn't a problem and and I quote "when you wake up tomorrow you will probably find it dead." What kind of an answer is that? When I asked to speak to the owner, she told me they'd get back to me. When I asked what I needed to do to get a refund on my service contract she hung up on me. I had to turn my bond just because the old owner had it so I continued it, which is probably a retreat bond because this place is so cheap. they tried to charge me $45 extra because I had an appointment and couldn't make it home by that time which is complete trash and protocol I've worked for pest control companies and nobody ever does that read more

Woman who answered the phone was very rude and dismissive. Though I had been a customer for 2 years. I called to ask if service tech was on his way as it was already 3:30 and was told he'd be there at around 1:00. She said he would be here. But he never showed up, ( I was home all day) . When I called the next day, she then said, he WAS here but left because I didn't leave a check under the mat. I explained that (I was home all day ) saw no truck and no one rang bell. She lied. Then proceeded to tell me that if I wasn't happy with their service I should find another company. I could not agree more with the reviews about the office staff being rude and argumentative . We paid for an annual pest control up front . They want to tell me that they have come back to my house way too many times . I cannot help it if we still have a problem and when they sell the annual that is supposed to be the benefit of it . Any problem we have they will be happy to come back . Had we done the monthly we would have had service monthly . The only polite office person I have come across supposedly is no longer there . There is a very nice man but I wasn't able to speak to him . My advice is to keep looking if you are looking for a pest control company . Or to get the monthly service . The office representatives, female, are rude, argumentative, extremely unprofessional and unknowledgable. Now that I've read the previous reviews I see that I am not the only one dealing with this unruly staff. After speaking with a gentleman there I realize that the females do not pass on their exact (truthful) rendition of their interactions with the customer (me). Not only has my family (and many family friends) been serviced by this company for years, I had the pleasure of working with them in their office for a time as a young professional. They allowed me to learn so much as an inexperienced young adult with no prior office references. I still call when I have questions about various pests and they are quick to respond and help even though I live out of state now. I had a VERY bad experience with Cody Pest control and came on Yelp to leave a review and am NOT surprised to see numerous reviewers having had the same experience I have had with this business! The office staff (female) are absolutely rude and argumentative beyond belief. The don't answer questions except with sarcasm and contempt. There is poor communication and a complete lack of continuity with this company. That being said, the techs (though you never see the same one twice) have been friendly, and easy to work with. I just scheduled a termite bond renewal treatment that was bought by the previous owners of my house. I called and asked detailed questions about the treatment. They answered them in a round about way despite my repeated questioning for specifics. I told them to schedule but that I might not go through with it depending on what the techs tell me when they come. They said no problem. The estimate left a paper which said they would treat the doorways and lanai etc. I assumed they would be drilling into the soil ONLY and pumping treatment in as I have had done in Tampa and Alabama. When the techs arrived they said they would be drilling holes into our house every 16 inches and into our pool deck every 16 inches as well as into every exterior door jam and our front porch columns. I said no thanks. The office girl called immediately was furious and yelling at me for cancelling. I asked why they didn't tell me about drilling the holes when I scheduled and questioned them. Her answer was "How did you think we were going to treat it?" I told them as I was not in the pest/termite business I had no idea and that was why I asked so many questions to which I never got answers from her. She clearly knew and purposely did not answer my questions when I scheduled. She said to "look at the estimate form". I did and did not mention anywhere about drilling holes into our block house and cool decking - nor drilling of any kind, actually. The techs also said they had to remove every shower head face plate and spray inside. I have 8 heads in my master shower. They said they "should just push back on". Not without calking!!! They said they don't repair but "try" not to do any damage. This rude, augmentative woman in the office yelled, "Well, I'm sending you a bill for $150 right now for a cancellation fee"!! I had told them I might not do the treatment depending on what it was when the techs arrived and they had said no problem on the phone. N ow are charging $150. Have been using Cody for over 3 years to treat my lawn. After each treatment it looks a little better then the weeds quickly return. I noticed recently that the lawn looks worse than ever and found that they havn't come in over 3 1/2 months. I called to complain and was told they are a little short handed. I want to report that Cody Pest Control operates in an unethical and unfair manner. We had sold our home and asked them not to come treat. The manager, Steve knew this as our account was flagged as "sale pending" and as a military account stationed overseas and only treat with notice so that I could have our property manager to make sure the irrigation system was turned on to water in any fertilizer applied. He understood this. Then when our home sold I contacted them immediately to cancel all future treatments, he came anyway and billed me. I called Steve to dispute the bill but they threatened to turn me over to collections and ruin my credit. I paid the bill but I want to let everyone out there know this company is an UNETHICAL AND UNFAIR company to work with. I would not recommend using them. read more

I have used Cody Pest control for over 3 years now for pest and termite service. I have to say I was a bit skeptical about the fact that they treat for pests once a year and didn't really believe it would keep the spiders, palmetto bugs and other knitters at bay. I have been sold on whatever they put down, it beats having someone come every month or 3 months to apply chemicals and I don't have any bugs in my house. In the past I have used other companies and would always call them back in to respray. I found Cody because the company I worked for at the time used them and because they gave me a package pest/termite service deal. I read the other reviews and simply can't relate as my experience has been great. I write this review today, because I was 5 months late on my obligated renewal service and I called them and they were still willing to honor my yearly price without telling me I have to restart service as a new customer and pay buku bucks for an initial service again. read more
