Bring a snack. I got all the information I need and they will work with you understanding everything before you leave! Nice informal setting and small class size. They class is interesting as moves quickly. I studied the ECG strips for hours the day before, the test is open book and it was still challenging enough to hold my attention. I've taken 2 CPR/BLS for healthcare provider classes at the Camarillo location. Registration is simple, everything is online. I'd arrive to the class around 15 minutes early to get a seat (and not get stuck with the low quality dummy ;) Breaks are provided and they have coffee, snacks, and a water cooler. If I remember correctly, the class was around 3, maybe 4 hours. There's about 12 students total. You arrive, check in with the instructor and get a brief overview of the class. You'll watch videos and the instructor will highlight the things you need to know for the test. You will then practice on the dummy as a group; you're never put on the spot. The instructor will come around and make sure that everyone is doing it correctly and will assist you if you need it. At the end of class, you're given a written exam. When you're finished, the instructor will grade it and if you pass you're given your certification card right then. Awesome place, very organized, great instructors. I'll be back in 2 years for my renewal! Tip: you do not need the book for the class. If you have an old one, go ahead and bring it but you're not required to purchase it. If you do purchase it, you're given it as soon as you arrive to class. read more

This place is AMAZING!! I've been coming here for years and all I can say is they really explain things to where you understand it not just "pass a class" you really understand it. I can't believe I hadn't written a review yet, shame on me. The instructors are all amazing! They are knowledgeable, always positive and they are happy, other places are very stern and serious. It's so nice and clean, and they have good mannequins that light up when you're doing your compressions correct. I started coming here after some lady in Ventura failed me from CPR because at the time I was nine months pregnant and refused to get on the floor to do CPR! Thank God I found Code 3 because they really want you to succeed. I have a learning disability and test anxiety (I've been diagnosed) and they understand my needs and help through the process. I can honestly say that I can apply what I've learned in my workplace. I am a Nurse and I need these certs every two years. I'm also doing my BLS here. I highly recommend them. They also have little snacks, I didn't have time for breakfast and I appreciate them having snacks and coffee. They are very professional and just overall nice people! Please recommend them to all your friends and family... they are superb!!! Please support them because they are extraordinary.... I would give them 10 STARS if I could. read more

I've done my CPR certification and renewal with Code 3 and Joe was my instructor for both. He does a good job in keeping you awake and active but the information you learn is important so I guess you shouldn't be slacking off in the first place. I like their new location in Camarillo because I live across the street and the Oxnard location was super sketchy. They used to offer discounts to students but I don't remember if I used one for my renewal. You can always leave them a message when you register for the class online and ask. They say they require the book but honestly, if you know someone that has it, just borrow it. read more

I needed to get my CPR/AED certification done asap, and I had the most wonderful experience with Code 3! The woman on the phone was so helpful and friendly. I was able to complete most of the training online that evening. The video was excellent! Easy to follow along to, and I learned so much! Then I was able to do my in-person skills test the very next day. I worked with Joseph and he was awesome! I loved getting to work one on one with a real live professional who could answer all of my questions. I got my ACLS certification here and it was such a great class! Our instructor's name was David and he was so nice and funny which made the class more interesting and go by super fast!
