    Delicious food

Love love love the food I would absolutely recommend this place. The burritos are huge, everyone is very nice and it's affordable 10/10. I am definitely coming back.

Quesobirria This is a menu pic. Unfortunately we were not disciplined enough to take a pic before eating it. ‍

NOTE: This review is for Cocula's Taqueria's food trailer on Manning Ave between the 99s, W of the Shell truck stop. It's been nearly 2 hours after The Kids and I had 2 Quesobirrias each (Total: 6/$21.00 before tip) and I still feel like a beached whale. I mean this in a good way, BTW. I've seen/heard of them and The Kids seemed to be same but tell me it's Trending. Wow! Cheddar cheese crusted large corn tortillas with well-seasoned [Beef] Birria, onions, cilantro. Simple! But I watched and there's a bit of sorcery involved in crisping the Cheddar and being able to mate it to the outer tortilla. I must say, I had to transport these Bombs of Joy about 12 minutes to home on the other side of the 41. Then another 8 minutes until I had all three of us finally seated. Sadly they were no longer as crispy. My goal is to have them on site next time, fresh off the flattop. Regardless, they were insanely Delicious! They are served Au Jus (Con Jugo?) in cups. We dipped conservatively after agreeing to pool our leftover Birria juice to be featured in a dish of our own making. It was that good. Also a little tub of Ranchero Salsa and a huge wedge of lemon. The menu also offered Tortas, Sopes, Burritos, Fries et al. I think they had plexiglass tubs of Agua Frescas and Horchata. The food, service, appearance (not a huge thing for me but you know how some Yelpers are), promptness were all good. It makes me wonder how good the restaurant in Downtown Fowler must be. Really neat experience as we love something different in our Family. Dine with confidence. Hungry Joey says, "Check it out!"

    Horchata

I've come here before for asada tacos and they were good. Tonight I ordered quesobirria tacos, rice, and asada fries with horchata. The tacos were ok. The rice had undercooked pieces but tasted burnt too. The asada fries were very dry. And the horchata was not good. It tasted like watered down cinnamon water, no sweetness at all.... I think it was old. The color was a little yellow.

Taco truck tacos are bomb! The salsa is super good. Not too hot , just spicy enough to make you reach for the horchata

Service was terrible. Food had no flavor and was greasy and was way too over priced. Do not recommend this place.

We asked what was on it and the lady said meat beans onions cheese with guac and sour on the side. There was no mention of jalapenos. She said we could do half asada half chicken. When we got the fries there were no beans and there was jalapenos which we were not notified about. It was dry and unflavorful. The cheese was coagulated I can't stand when cheese clumps up and sticks to very few fries instead of being distributed. Hubby forgot to call back until a day or two later they said the lady who took our order wasn't in I don't care who took my order If I say my order wasn't right then anybody should be able to fix it I shouldn't have to wait till that person comes back in. Why would I lie about beans? All Im asking for is credit for the beans. Not like I'm asking for an entire meal comp. We only chose to eat there because they said they put beans on the fries. Not every restaurant puts beans on the fries, you have to pay extra. This messed up my entire meal and experience with them, not to mention on my anniversary. We do things low key . That was my first meal there and it makes me not want to order anything ever again or even go sit down there. I forgot to take a picture before and i agree my own cheese

Then the day comes when you say 'screw it' and finally decided to go in, only to get blown away. Yeah, that's EXACTLY what happened in my case. I finally decided to go in and check it out after hearing many good things about and it was AMAZING. The attendants behind the counter super courteous and sweet, heck, I felt like the most important person in there. A nice atmosphere despite having to remove their dinning area due to COVID, but from what I saw, it carried a good ambiance. Anyways, I got to the counter and ordered my food (shrimp fries), waited a bit and then was given it. Right away I could SMELL the shrimp and boy was my mouth watering. Ugh-- totally swooned right then and there. It was really hard to resist the urge of just sitting in my car and eating the whole thing right there. Nevertheless, I made it home in the end with my precious package intact and it was still friggin piping hot. So much shrimp was packed into along with gooey cheese and some sort of sauce. I didn't know what it was, but it was delicious. It was a massive portion too. Needless to say, I wasn't able to finish it all in one go, but that only meant I'd have more for later! All in all, l LOVED the experience and I LOVED the food. I will definitely be stopping by here again!

We decided to eat in the car as the line back in at MachineHead was LONG. I took a two bites of my Chile Verde taco and it was like my taste buds dancing around! It was a pretty tasty taco. I couldn't finish it though so the dude did. I did taste the meat of the chicken and Al Pastor tacos which weren't as good as the Chile Verde. I thought the chicken was dry and the Al Pastor needed more flavor. Overall, we were pretty satisfied. The staff was very friendly too! They seriously served hundreds of people that day and did it with ease! I highly recommend to find them and try them out!

Now for Naynay's truck review- I…read moredon't know if I was spoiled or what, but I grew up eating Filipino food at friends' houses and it was so much better than this. Naynay's lumpia were nice and crispy but just didn't have that delicious flavor I remember. The sweet chili sauce was good and it helped with the so-so flavor. Where I was really disappointed was the pancit. Yucky. :( It didn't have the right vegetables and waaay too much cilantro on top. I tried putting the soy sauce mixture on top but that didn't even help. The worst part was that we waited a really long time for our food. Numbers were called out of order and other people waiting for their food were looking around to see if others were waiting too. My husband ordered first at Naynay's and then went over to another truck to order Korean tacos. The tacos were ready super fast and we were trying to eat all the food together but while waiting for Naynay's the tacos started getting cold so we ended up eating them and even then we still waited quite a while before our food from Naynay's was done. Overall, just not a good experience with Naynay's, which is sad because they're the whole reason I wanted to go check out the food truck night.

This sit down taco restaurant offers all the classics, but is known for their namesake. I tried the four queso birria taco plate with beef and one of their carne asada tacos. These tacos are huge and I had plenty left over for the next day. This is some of the best birria I've ever tasted! The beef was incredibly tender and their consomme had the richest flavor, the waiter informed us that this is from 24-hour slow cook and you'd could tell. If you've never had quesa birria tacos before, it's two corn tortillas with a layer melted cheese in between and then loaded with meat and folded like a taco. This combo plate comes with three tacos, rice and beans. Their beans are also delicious. Great portions, good vibes, and decent pricing. The owner said it does get busy on the weekends during breakfast so be patient and prepare for a short wait.
