I don't typically like to criticize people let alone leave negative reviews, this is actually my first time leaving a negative review. I prefer to turn the other cheek most days ;) It makes it even harder that I started Yoga here and I'm pretty sure I was her best client 2 years running and only male student.
Please take less than 2 minutes and search for all the other wonderful yoga places in NWA for a regular yoga practice. The regular instructors at Cocoon Yoga Lab are mostly pretty wonderful people, but they work all over NWA. You can find them just about anywhere, but the monthly pass here only gets you access to 1/3 of the classes, you have to buy 2 more monthly pass to get the other 1/3 of classes that just don't warrant a separate monthly pass. Then they are rarely open compared to most places (only 2 classes on Friday, if that), so getting in a good yoga practice is kinda hard here (plus remember you have to share time with the 2 other monthly pass students). This is the only place that nickels and dimes you like this. Owner says this isn't an issue for anyone when me and several others keep bringing it up to her. The 200 YTT is also not Yoga Alliance certified if you're trying to improve your practice or get certified. The quality is poor and teacher skipped most days. The owner told us it was Yoga Alliance certified while she repetitively pushed us to buy it while we were just trying to practice yoga. But that is no longer my Karma to deal with, so I will just leave this here.
Good luck to you on your journey. You've come a long way. Take your time and find your best path. There are so many other fantastic places that wont treat you like this (I'd name drop a few for you but I don't want their name associated with negative reviews either - just search "Yoga NWA"). You got this! I love you.
If you currently go to CYL and are wondering why you haven't been improving, here is a good opportunity to check out all the other wonderful Yoga in town. There are SO MANY wonderful yoga places in NWA with better quality at lower costs and probably closer to you.
PS. I still love you too Cocoon Yoga Lab. But you can do better than what you're doing. Listen to your students when they're trying to tell you something is wrong - not punish them for expressing a concern. If you don't fully acknowledge a problem, you can't fix it. Until then I don't feel safe or comfortable giving your establishment my 2 thumbs up. Attendance is low for a reason. Owner does not care about her yogis. Only how much money they make her. read more
