Equipment (outside of the basics mentioned below): didn't see a TRX Crowdedness: Fair. Audience trends to younger residents in the area Cleanliness: OK. Staff Friendliness: Average Hours: 7 days/wk. on par with residential Blinks Overall: Rather large gym especially upstairs. Lots of cardio machines. Close to Prospect Park in case you go out for a run and wanted to go to the gym before or after. *Unless noted, assume all Blink gyms have locker rooms, water fountain, stretch area, dumbbells, kettlebells (up to 50lbs), smith machines, weight machines, cardio equipment (Rower, treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, stairclimber), showers, wipes, Towel machine (pay separate charge). Assume you can scan in via App or Apple Wallet/Watch **Note: I am a Blink user with entry possibility of all their NYC area gyms via an Add-on to my Classpass membership. (I did not want to deal with Blink corporate in case I needed to cancel and wanted to avoid a startup fee or annual charge). I do not take showers at the gym and tend to go off-peak hours. I'm

The Great Betrayal... of My Own Tastebuds Date: October 14,…read more1926 I was the very first man on this block to sign the petition against this monstrosity. When the General Baking Company announced they were plunking down a colossal, noisy industrial factory right on our beautiful Flatbush Avenue, I called it a criminal intrusion! It brings the delivery trucks, the clamor, and quite frankly, that over-designed clock tower is simply too much for our fine residential neighborhood. I swore to my wife, Martha, that not a single nickel of my hard-earned salary would ever cross the threshold of the Bond Bread Bakery. But then... they fired up the ovens. Heaven help me, the aroma. It drifted right down the avenue, sneaking through our parlor windows and completely undermining my righteous indignation. It smells like a warm hug from an angel. Yesterday, my willpower finally snapped. I marched my hypocritical self over to that oversized factory and bought a loaf of their "Better By Far" Bond Bread. I absolutely loathe admitting this, but it is spectacular. The crust has a perfect golden snap, the inside is soft and airy, and it tastes like everything good and wholesome in this changing world. I ate half the loaf with just a smear of butter before Martha even got home. My pride is in absolute tatters, but my stomach is thrilled.

The staff usually greets you once you arrive. It's not the best experience having to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the locker room and gym machines. The women's locker is located right around the corner of the entrance stairs. The locker room is clean and a decent size. There are plenty of cardio machines to choose from, however, there's only a few stairs master machines. Often times I have to wait until someone is done using it before I hop on. I would love it if there was a separate floor for calisthenics or mat exercises. You pretty much have to place your mat between the machines in order to workout on the mat. Other than that, the gym is a convenient location and has all of the essential equipment you need to have a productive workout.

This gym would get a 5 star just because of LyneLuvDance!!!! I haven't used the machines yet…read morebecause I enjoy going to the classes. She is amazing. Great personality, beautiful, full of life. Try one of her classes, you will come back for me. I would give it a one star but I feel bad because it's not a huge deal, more aggravating then anything. So I'll give it a three star for the incompetence of the workers who called me to schedule my hour session for signing up. I was on the phone for 10 minutes explaining what time works for me & after 10 times telling her that anything before 7 doesn't work, we agreed for 7:00PM. A different worker called me the day before the scheduled date & advised the appointment was for 5:30PM. I explained how it was for 7:00PM. I rescheduled for another day for 7:00PM. Once again, I got a phone call the day before the scheduled date & advised the appointment was for 7:30PM. At first I agreed but then called & cancelled because I was taking a class from 6:30PM- 7:00PM & didn't want to waste 30 minutes standing around when I could be home cooking dinner. I think they intentionally change the time without confirming with the clients hoping they will come anyway because they want to squeeze other people in & change times.

IF YOU HAVE DISABILITIES DO NOT GO TO CRUNCH. THANK YOU A.. WHO REMINDED ME OF THAT THIS MORNING…read more Maya Angelo has a saying "when someone shows you who they are the first time, believe them. That is so true. Crunch Fitness on 1038 Flatbush showed me before what type of business they were, the same Manager is there, who previously when I had concerns and asked to speak with her, she was always in a meeting and never made time to speak with me. The District Manager never reached out to me also. They were all invisible running this Huge Corporation called Crunch Fitness. I am the first to admit I was wrong to have gone back there. But, you give people a chance and hope for the best. Never, Ever again. I Went to Crunch Fitness this morning, I greeted the person at the Entrance desk with "Good Morning". I clocked in and proceeded to the Elevator and did not notice at first that it was out of order again. That is nothing for many because they will climb the steps as another form of exercise but for someone like myself who has implants in both my feet, bilateral knee replacements, total reverse right shoulder replacements, cervical stenosis implants, my entire left leg has Numbness and weakness because I have major problems with my back of which I will be having major surgery in September. My coordination is off. I move slow because my gait is unsteady. For that reason I use a small Shopping Cart to put my Gym bag in and to help steady my gait. My shopping Cart is small. I bring it everywhere with me. Whenever I, go to Crunch Fitness, I take the Elevator to the lower lever, put my small shopping cart in a corner and take the Elevator up to the second floor to use the Recumbent Bike and Treadmill. I do, what I was instructed to do in Rehabilitation. No one in the pass has never "Told me, I can't Bring My Little Shopping Cart" to help me ambulate and carry my things in. My shopping Cart has never bothered anyone. But this morning when I went back to the front desk to inquire about the Non Working Elevator I was made aware that I was not allowed to bring a Shopping Cart. I made the individual aware that I was using it for my safety and stability. But that fell on deaf ears. I asked how soon the Elevator was going to be repaired and I got a response of "I don't know". I was further told that the Manager comes in at 8 am and I can come back and ask her any questions. I verbalized that in the past the Manager never had time to speak with me to address my concerns. The Manager was always in a "Meeting". The response I got was a shoulder lift. I asked for the District Manager's Name and Phone Number. I got a response of I don't know who he is and what's his phone number". I verbalize to this young woman that in my line of work when I precept New Nurses, I have told them learn everything about your job and the people who are in charge. It will be to your benefit. After working for many years and dealing with people's personalities either medically and socially. I observed this young woman had an attitude. I address her as I would address anyone professionally "Ms Amy" and told her that I want to cancel my membership. She hesitated at first to my request and then started the process. She addressed me as "Elizabeth". I corrected her and told her address me as Ms Elizabeth, in the same professional manner I addressed you. She pointed her face to me and said "I, am not a Ms", just Amy. Wow, who train some of these individuals for Customer Services. My last words to her was I wish you the best and hope you never get any physical disabilities but you don't know what others go through and how they feel and you don't have a nice attitude. I could she did care. But with everything I don't blame her because everything Starts from the top, if the District Manager and Gym Manager never reached out to address my concerns in the past and will do nothing now, it leaves the door open for staff to behave anyway they want and say what they want because they know their will be no repercussions for their actions. NB I was a member of this Gym before left because of Elevator issues and my medical issues of which, to have surgery again not by choice but necessity. I came back and joined Crunch fitness - Question- should I not have been oriented to the Gym, equipments and shown around. Should I been given the Tee Shirt that is promised to you when you join the Gym. Nothings was done or given. I am over Crunch Fitness. AMY MADE A FUSS WITH ME FOR MY LITTLE SHOPPING CART TO HELP ME AMBULATE AND HOLD MY PERSONAL STUFF, BUT WHEN THE TRAINER WHO HAS HIS LARGE SPEAKER BLASTING MUSIC IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TREADMILL AND OTHER MACHINE, ALONG WITH MATS AND WHATEVER ELSE THEY ARE USING, NO ONE COMPLAIN. THE LOCKER ROOM SMELL OF URINE. THE GARBAGE RECEPTACLE THAT IS PLACED NEXT TO THE TREADMILL ON THE FAR RIGHT THAT MEMBERS SPIT IN, IS DISGUSTING. MS. AMY GO MAKE ROUNDS AND SEE THE REAL ISSUES NOT MY SHOPPING CART.
