Best. Honda. Ever. I have been going to this service center since 2017, when I moved to Fort Myers for college. I am SO lucky to have such an amazing Honda dealership so close to my school. They are incredibly reliable and always do great work. My CRV's battery died on Saturday morning, and after a visit from AAA, I was told I would probably need a new alternator. I called Honda, and they told me to bring it right in! They came out to greet me when I pulled up and immediately made me feel at ease after such a stressful morning. The repair only took two hours - which is great - especially on a Saturday without an appointment, and did not break the bank. They gave me a free reusable water bottle (a promo for FGCU students) and a complimentary car wash during my visit. The waiting area was clean and the staff was super friendly. James called me two days later to thank me for choosing their dealership - stellar customer service! Being a college student, the reality of dealing with car problems on my own is a bit nerve wracking, but they have always been more than helpful. Came to Coconut Point as they are my local dealership and they were nothing short of accommodating and understanding. They got my car in that I purchased the day before at another dealership very quickly and were able to service my car and work with the other dealership to get a rental car worked out for me! My wife and I drove with our infant son from the east coast to Estero to purchase a specific color combination of CRV EX that Coconut Point Honda had in stock. Prior to driving 2 hours to Coconut Point Honda, I worked with Adriana Martinez who offered me the lowest price of all the Honda dealers I spoke with. Most importantly, I advised Adriana Martinez that I would be coming with my wife and infant son. The day before I spoke with Adriana Martinez who reassured me that the car would be ready and that there would not be any hidden surprises. When I arrived at Coconut Point Honda, I was advised that Adriana Martinez was not in and was passed off to another salesman. This salesman did not know if the specific vehicle was in stock and was clueless as to the specifics of our deal. As you can guess, the salesman came back with a price that was significantly higher than any of the other dealerships that I had spoken with. His manager then came in and said that this was the best that they could do. I immediately walked out of the showroom with my wife and infant son and drove back to the east coast. Coconut Point Honda engages in bait and switch and will make whatever promises they can to get you in the door. The staff does not care, as in my case, if you're driving 130 miles each way with an infant. I do not recommend this dealership. read more

I just purchased a used car from this dealership. BEWARE - NEVER AGAIN!! No negotiation on price. Stated new top, low miles. The miles were low the top was not new and doesn't even work properly. One of the brake lights was not working and they would not fix it or adjust the price of the car to compensate. Keith put a dealer plate on the car so I could drive it home and switch plates from the old vehicle. I mailed the plate back to him 4 days later and he proceeded to call my work number multiple times. Today he showed up at my office demanding the return of the dealer plate, which per his instructions I had already mailed.. I am outraged because my office is 1 1/2 hours away from the dealership. My paperwork has all of my personal information on it. So now i am wondering if he went to my house first or will show up later. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNSETTLING. read more

If you are looking at buying a car here, expect the price to increase by 25% from the online advertised price. There are non-negotiable hidden fees such as reconditioning (may cost up to $3000). There's also a "family protection plan" which costs $1900 and allows you to receive certain services from the dealership at that location. However, you cannot decline this option even if you live out of town. So the fee ends up just going straight into their pockets with no benefit to you. I asked to look at a used car listed for $28,000. Upon arriving at the dealership, we learned that the car would actually cost $35,500. The dealership did not feel it was necessary to inform me of this discrepancy BEFORE driving 8 hours to get there. This place is a scam. Make sure to read the fine print. Expect the price to increase by 25%. I would highly recommend avoiding us dealership, especially if you are coming from out of town so that you don't waste your time. read more

Worst customer service from a general manager I have ever seen. Sales manager misinformed us when we purchased the car and instead of doing the right thing and honoring the free oil change that was promised. She tells me "well that costs us money". You know what costs you money? A customer that will never return for service on my current car or to purchase the Honda that I will be purchasing soon to replace my other car. Something as petty as $30 (and that's what it would have costed me not them) just cost them a customer and referrals. They will say anything here to get you in the door or to close the deal. Take it with a grain of salt because it's most likely either not the whole story or not true. Wouldn't shock me to see this dealership close in the next couple years because of their customer service. You can't piss everyone off and think you are going to stay in business. read more

No integrity nor respect. Fraudulent! Refused to provide the 2nd key that a certified used car gets. They said they sold me a certified used car, less than 2 years old. I was only interested in CERTIFIED used car. They even put it in writing, but verification with Honda revealed that this dealer sold me a NONcertified vehicle. Fraud! Argumentative bullies. Argued that my bank doesn't offer the rate I got because it's not in their book of bank rates. Even when presented with bank documents signed that day, argued that it wasn't true. Refused the bank's request to list them (the bank) as the leinholder. Parked vehicle registered to me illegally in ADA space without placard and said, "We always use the handicapped spaces for our convenience. They're (ADA spaces) are right out front." They gave my new email address to an outside dealer website who immediately started spamming me ads for their dealership. They entered it in their computer in all caps and that's how I received the spam. Then they argued that I did it, not them. read more

this place is absolutely shit. OnMarch 10 I bought a 2013 Ford explore and traded in my 2013 Ford C-Max hybrid. before driving off the lot the car was making this stuttering sound and the check engine light was on. i immediately called my sales rep Justin. he told me service was closed and to come back the next morning. which i did. they were going to just give me a loaner car but the. realized i'm not 25. so i then had to drive this car back to my home and come back THE NEXT DAY for them to fix it. little did i find out after 6 hours that they could only fix the engine light. and that it would have to be sent over to Ford. but that leaves me with a major problem.. i don't have a car. and i had a trip planned for that weekend. so they told me just to go and bring it back on monday. so i came in with my mom. they gave me a loaner and my disabled mom has to now take me to and from work. which i might add she lives 2 minutes from my work and she has to travel 40 minutes to get me then 40 back to drop me off. they then had my car A WEEK and didn't get it checked out until FRIDAY but i didn't hear anything until MONDAY saying it may be my transmission but they have to keep my car for 21 days to make a claim. WHAT THE FUCK?!? no this isn't my warranty's problem this isn't my problem this is your problem. i then get told if i want it fixed that the general manager "will pay half" HELL FUCKING NO again this isn't my fault.! i was planned to take a week vacation out of town from the 24th - 31st maybe a few days longer and paid over $900 for this trip that i can't get any refunds on because i can't even drive in the loaner car or the other car dealership car the manager gave me for my trip because it broke down in a parking lot. so now my credit is shot, i'm out of 1,000 down payment, over $900 for the trip, i still have no car, and out a full payment on the car i traded in on the 10th because they didn't even pay my loan until the 19th. this place is fucking bullshit and the people aren't much better. read more

There are 3 Honda dealers in my area. After reading reviews on each, I decided to give the "little guy" a try as I mistakenly thought that they would be more attentive and customer focused. In late October I called the dealer to request a test drive of a 2020 Honda Fit. With the lease on my current 2018 HRV coming to an end, I was considering a new vehicle. I believed the information on the website which stated that Coconut Point would bring the vehicle to my home for a test drive. However, when I mentioned this to sales representative, Omar Hernandez-Jimenez, on the phone, he claimed not to know anything about it and said that I must come into the dealership. So I made an appointment to visit him at the dealership and test drove two vehicles - a 2020 Honda Fit and 2020 Honda HRV. During the test drives, I noticed there was literally zero gas in the tank of either vehicle but Omar said we would be fine. Since the test drive consisted only of driving to the nearest stoplight and making a "U" turn, he proved correct. However, it didn't give me the best impression and sadly this was only a harbinger of worse things to come. Omar provided me written quotes for both the 2020 Fit and 2020 HRV which were sky high compared to their posted web quotations. It seems that they gathered the information on my current lease and used that to make their initial quotation. This was problematic, since I would be downsizing in the case of the Fit or the HRV (I was looking at a FWD rather than my current AWD). I was also looking at 2020 models at the end of the year rather than a 2021. When I inquired why the quotes were so much higher than the website which listed the 2020 HRV at $169/mo with $2500 down for 3 years/30,000 miles, Omar claimed not to be aware of this quote and laughingly stated that the website was designed by a separate marketing department. At this point, I was wondering whether to call the Better Business Bureau. What other business can quote one price in an advertisement and then say it is nothing but fiction when you show up to buy? It seemed like a classic case of "bait and switch." If they just honored their own advertisement, they would have had a sale that day and a happy customer. Instead, when I said that I wanted to wait and think about the offer, I was subjected to "tough sell" tactics from Chris Cunningham, the sales manager, who literally would not let me leave the building until he made his pitch. I can appreciate the need to sell as a businessman and his pitch was well within the bounds of fair play. But might I suggest that he just make his best offer at the beginning and say that is the best he can do? It might save some time for all parties. A bigger issue is that I felt disrespected because of the fact that I wanted to wait and was borderline taunted for doing so. Chris also seemed to take issue with the fact that I was wearing a mask and he poked fun at me for doing so claiming I was trying to maintain a "poker face." Is he not aware there is a pandemic going on? After taking some time to consider the offers, I decided not to move forward with leasing a new vehicle from any dealership. However, I still needed to return my current lease and I wanted to honor the time that Coconut Point staff initially spent with me thinking that they would want my vehicle and could sell it at a tidy profit since it only had 11K miles. I called them on a Thursday and was informed that I did not need to make an appointment to return my vehicle and that I could do so at any time. When I asked if Saturday would still be okay, the woman said yes and that it would take less than 20 minutes. Nevertheless, I called again on Saturday morning before making the trip and spoke to another customer service agent who also confirmed that I could come in that day and make the return. Imagine my surprise when I arrived at the dealer and was told that Mr. Cunningham was the only one who could help and was full of appointments and that I would have to come back on Monday. Given that there was literally nobody else in the dealership, I can't imagine what he was busy doing. The fact that he made the receptionist deliver this news (the same woman I had spoken with on the phone 1 hour prior) also bodes ill for this dealership - he put her in a very difficult situation. Thank goodness for Germain Honda in Naples! The sales manager, Laurie, immediately said to come in when I called. On arrival, I was greeted by James Koser (jkoser@germainhonda.com, 239-643-4044), the General Sales Manager, who explained the process and in less than 10 minutes he processed my return and had me back on my way. Best of all, he treated me with professionalism and respect and did not pressure me to purchase a new vehicle. I cannot thank him enough for helping me today. If I ever do lease or buy another Honda, I will start with him and his team - I guess sometimes larger is better when it comes to car dealers. read more

I recently scheduled an appt with Coconut Point Honda for a sensor diagnosis on my 2015 Honda Accord. I had decided to add an oil change to the ticket, so I checked the car in 30 min early to give them some xtra time. I also inquired about a car wash, which they assured me was complimentary with the service. Long story short, AFTER 3 1/2 HOUR WAIT, THE DIAGNOSIS WAS STILL NOT PERFORMED!! I bought a 2011 Nissan Altima and noticed some minor damage on the rear quarter panel. I returned to the dealer shortly after to discuss possible compensation, or repair for this damage. They were unwilling to work with me and I was disappointed with their unwillingness to make it right! Also, when I bought the car I was assured that it was thoroughly gone over mechanically! I found out that the air filter and cabin filters were filthy and not changed. Also, the battery needs to be replaced. I'm guessing they never serviced or checked out the car before I bought it. Just another shady car dealership with just enough customer service to sell you a vehicle, but zero customer support after the sale. We've been getting the "run around" and being avoiding by Coconut Point Honda for months. We purchased a BRAND NEW 2022 Honda Odyssey in August 2021. The salesperson said they are only giving (1) of the key fobs for the vehicles now, and the second one will be sent in the mail and we should receive that within 30 days. As strange as this sounds, we waited. After waiting the 30 days the 2nd fob never came in the mail. We've called Coconut Point Honda numerous times and each time their sales people and general service manager Nagy Waziry aren't available. They keep telling us, nobody is available and someone will call us back only to wait a few days and not hear from anyone, so that's when my wife decided to drive up to the dealership and still got the same answer. Nobody available in the dealership to help a customer seems even more strange than them only giving us the (1) key fob. Yesterday I called and spoke with Daniel who said Leo (I guess a different manager) isn't available and nobody there could assist us with the key fob they never gave us and the same practice was used again and again and again. As a last ditch effort I called today, and you guessed it, Brent this time said Nagy isn't available and offered to take down my number but after being told this same story at least 6 times now I'm done with that. All this grief over a key fob after spending a pretty substantial amount of money is what we should have expected from these crooks. I advise anyone doing business here, make sure whatever "deals" or things they tell you are addressed and finalized BEFORE you sign those papers and walk out or you'll be forced to waste your time writing reviews like this in hopes that someone with customer service skills steps into the matter. read more

I have never posted a yelp review but this dealership deserves one I came to coconut point Honda to get my tires replaced they told me that I needed to get my car serviced as well. I was told my price and I said ok 3 hours later I came back to pick up my car and the total cost doubled I do not recommend going to this dealership all they care about is making as much money possible and will not tell you when they are going to double the total of your bill. In addition I made an appointment to get my tires replaced and they sold them and made me wait until they ordered new ones. When I purchased a used car there as a chip in the windshield and the "Family Plan" items that I was charged for (nitrogen in tires, vin number engraved on windows, etc., were not on the car the day I came to pick it up. So I left the car and was told to pick it up the next day. I came to pick up the car and saw that they put a drop of super glue on the windshield instead of getting the chip/small crack filled by Safelight. They said they would repair it correctly and to call for an appointment to bring it in. I called for an appointment and was told to bring the car in the next day which I did only to be told that they couldn't do it that day. Was told to call again for an appointment next week. It's been several weeks and the windshield is STILL NOT FIXED. WARNING to others.............do not leave the lot with your car until everything is perfect. When looking for service on my Car recently I price checked the service prices at Coconut Point Honda against a few other dealers I've used in the past. Given their location I thought they would be a bit higher; however, they were right in line with other dealers. I have now used them twice and have found their service good and the customer service techs are great. The techs followed up, worked with me on scheduling and got me in and out. Well we just arrived back to Florida and the air conditioner was not working. We came unannounced to Coconut Point Honda thinking well it is time for a new car. We just purchased a car yesterday. What a fiasco. Thursday we looked at a car. It still needed to be serviced. They said at 4:30 Thursday we could test drive it again. In the meantime they sold the car to someone else. Friday, they call us back to see if we wanted to test drive the car?? Confusing-- yes. We ask, "is the car available?" Uh... not sure we will call you back. No call back. Monday at 4:00 our original salesman calls us back... apologizing like crazy. The car was on hold not sold. We went back to see the car. ( Limited selection of used Hondas is the only reason we went back.) We put an offer on the car, in the middle of negotiating, some "manager" walks in, no introduction at all and proceeds to make us feel stupid. We almost walk out, but we feel for our salesman. What a terrible first car buying experience for our daughter. As we go to leave with the car, it's on empty. She could even drive the car home. Thankfully our salesman gives her a few bucks worth the gas so she can drive home. Mind you... we drove there 3 times already at 50 miles Each round trip. Not impressed. read more

In late March, we brought our 2015 Accord in for an oil change and tire rotation before we headed north for the season. After an hour a service associate came out and said my vehicle was done but I needed additional work done which included a new battery and battery cables which totaled $625 plus labor. Since our car was very new I questioned the need for that type of repair and was told it was necessary. After much discussion I chose not to proceed and instead seek a second opinion from an independent in Estero and later my Illinois dealership both of which said the battery and cables were absolutely fine and needed no replacement. A word to those using the service department, beware. You often hear about unscrupulous dealerships and we may have one in Coconut Point Honda. My call to the General Manager, Harley has yet to be returned. read more

Be careful of this dealership. Never had this happen in 8-9 car deals in my life. I have heard of bait and switch, but these guys are pros at it. The sales people make you feel good about it and then the back and forth negotiations from the back office without ever meeting a manager pulling the strings. No one to say thank you for your business. I can get past that, but when you promise to pay my last two payments and then change my paperwork by coming to my work and having me sign more documents. We were referred to this dealership via Costco. When we arrived we were handed off to another salesman, other than the one that contacted us, which was fine. However, we were looking to buy a used car and the used cars on their lot do not have a sticker price or mileage on the outside of their vehicles. This was very odd to us. The salesman would show us the vehicle but there was no info that he could tell us about it, so we were just looking at the outside of the vehicle. It wasted a lot of time and it was frustrating. Finally we asked him to please show us a list of used CRV's and a list of used Accords with the price and mileage that were available and in our price range, however, before he would do this, he had an appointment with another customer and handed us off to yet another salesman. Needless to say, we left. They never followed up with us either. They were polite, but didn't seem to know what they were doing, and did not seem eager to make a sale. We ended up buying a very nice used car elsewhere. Also we were from out of town and our time was limited and they knew this. With the information that is available on the internet today, most customers that walk into a dealership, have already done extensive research on cars, especially used ones, with regard to dependability and price; so not having the price and mileage on the outside of their vehicles was very odd to us and frustrating. read more
