It's conveniently located by the resort, it's like a grocery store where you can buy food items to cook, some souvenirs, and they also have warm food and a few tables right outside where you can eat. We had meals there a couple of times, it's reasonably priced and the food was tasty. read more

Would've given this place a 5star local marketplace if it wasn't for an employee's blunder in charging us twice for one item (didnt realize that until after we got back to the hotel). The snacks and grab and go selection is great. It has a little Hawaiian charm in it too. Def recommend people checking it out (and keeping an eye out for extra charge on your receipt). read more

Great little shopping center! We enjoyed the Farmer's Market first, then checked out some of the shops. Lots of touristy stores, but also some specialty stores as well. There's also a couple of restaurants, but we didn't eat at any of them this time. It was here we found out about the women-owned local market and craft fair that was going on while we were here. Everyone was super friendly! Definitely stop by and check this place out. read more

Great plaza with many souvenir shops, an Island Country Markets, a farmers market on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Chicken in a Barrel, Jojo's shave ice, and coconut postcards to buy! This Island Country Market location sells Kauai Kookies dark chocolate haupia pie which is amazing and also Kauai sun cathcher ornaments. read more

This place has everything you need shopping food hotels condos the ocean is right there some of the restaurant seating is on the sand. Hula dancing im the center court was nice and authentic. Most of the stores here I found the people who worked here were not very friendly we didn't feel welcomed here.. the Italian restaurant here they were not friendly at all.. not a whole lot of locals here in this market place. in fact our service was bad.. we have been to this island many times our first time here at the coconut we will not be coming back.... Down the street is a restaurant is a restaurant The Bullshed this was the best experience locals here friendly. read more

This was such a cool little market place. I don't have much to say about it because we didn't stay long. We shopped a little at Island Country Markets. Bought ice cream, ate it and left. But it was clean. Lots of little businesses you can shop at. Check this place out when you're in town. (No pictures to share) read more

The coconut market highlight is the farmers market on Tuesday and Thursdays. So many boxes of locally grown and home made items. I highly recommend the Thai ice cream bananas! It's like dessert! read more

Small convenient store with a large variety of items, including necessities and souvenirs. Service was great, and I returned more than once. Everything on the island was fairly expensive, so prices here were comparable, not out of the norm. read more

This place is so fun! Tried all the restaurants here and they were all delicious. My personal favorite had to be the Thai/Chinese Coconut place (get their Spicy Eggplant Garlic Ginger Stir Fry if you can haha), but they are all good and not too tourist-y. The ABC supermarket is also great, lots of food options in there (definitely try their desserts at the Gelato place if you can haha), workers are really nice there and lots of cute stores as well if you want to shop after. read more

We stayed at Kauai Shores right next door so we spent a lot of time at the Coconut Marketplace. We ate at Chicken in a Barrel which was really good. Hubby ate at the Coconut Thai and Chinese Cuisine. He loved it. And ofcourse, the ABC store, they have food to order and literally anything else you might think you need. I got a salad and shrimp there 2 nights and ate at the beach at our hotel. Very relaxing and I had a simi healthy meal. There are a lot of shops with touristy souvenirs: clothes, trinkets, sandals, hats, etc. Plenty of parking. All in one shopping! Aoha! read more

We were there mid May for 2 weeks. Location is good. Very quiet both times we went there. Several shops in a row were the same touristy stuff for sale. The Bamboo shop cashier was reading his phone and I said, "when you have time I'd like to purchase this." One shop Person was on the phone for business "come back in 10 mins, NOT. It looked like you could sign up for adventure tours there. Maybe it was just the time of the year. ? read more

Pricey marketplace but it is the only touristy place for food and souvenirs that has a variety. The good thing is that you spend $100. You get a free gift! Calendar, mug or shopping bag. Just save your receipts. You can use your receipts from the hot food, espresso bar, or souvenirs. Aunties they're somewhat helpful. When asked for help catch them on a good day and they're nice but catch them on a bad day they'll ignore you and keep walking away. read more

If you have time to stop by, I'd recommend it. We probably spent 30 minutes here. On a Thursday afternoon, there was a very small farmers market that was neat to check out in the parking lot. In the actual marketplace, lots of souvenir shops, there's a big version of the ABC store and lots of food available. We didn't eat anything here but saw lots of chill places like shave ice, Thai food, sushi, chill bar/chicken food area, etc. Also, around 1pm, there was live music in the center so that was nice. It's a great place to stop by and checkout if you have the time or passing by to get some Wailua shave ice (across the street from that plaza area). read more

My husband and I visited this marketplace 13 years ago and it was DEAD. This is now a completely different place. We stayed in the condos across the street and utilized this place daily for something or other. I think the malasadas at the ABC store are even better than the ones at the bakery in town. Farmers market T/Thurs 9-1pm!!!!!! Yes please. read more

Great little shopping area in Kapa'a! I was staying nearby, and this place was less than a 5 min walk away! I wish there were more stores or restaurants here, but this is a very lowkey shopping area. They also have a small farmers market here twice a week! They have a variety of restaurants, a shave ice place, and some shopping (abc store, souvenir store). I wish there was a little more public seating, but it wasn't that much of a big deal. Overall, great little shopping area in Kapa'a! read more

Three letters, ABC! As in the Hawaiian chain convenience store located here. Im not much for the Newish shopping centers all over the Hawaiian Islands. Mainly because im old enough to remember the old wooden structures that used to dot the landscape. I miss the old stuff but especially on Kauai its hard to find,so you better embrace the new. This little center has the usual mix of food stalls, restaurants, and gift shops. It's saving grace is the ABC store anchoring the complex. Its a fantastic place to get essentials and great food. Also, an Italian restaurant with good pizza that I take to the beach. I bought a Hawaiian Christmas shirt at the gift shop in this center and I love it. Go read more

We were short in time and need to grab something quick. So me and my friend came to the coconut marketplace to pick up breakfast and my breakfast burrito was amazing. We came again for dinner and I picked up an Asian chicken salad, and it was good as well. Then we came again to pick up breakfast and I got the rice breakfast bowl with eggs and sausage and I am just grateful that there is a place for a quick grab and go meal. Hawaii's food is an amazing but expensive. So it's nice to know there's a place you can just grab and go if you're in a rush or don't have time and save you money. read more

This was at the big market sorry forgot to include where I dined lol so yeah the food was really good and I enjoyed it very much.

This is a good spot to visit for souvenirs. I collect Christmas ornaments during my travels and I found a spot that had ornaments that no other stores carried. I'm sorry but I can't recall the name of the store. Also the ABC store here is massive. I didn't try it myself but I heard the hot food here is good. Overall it's a nice place to walk around and burn a few hours. read more

It's kind of neat to walk around and gives you a very quick feel for what kinda gift store crap you're going to see island-wide. There's a grocery/convenience store there but it's massively over-priced and there's an actual supermarket less than 5 mins away. Otherwise as others have stated things are well over-priced and hokey. Farmer's market is cool though so check when that's coming around. read more

I love this place! We've decided that when the zombie apocolypse comes, we're heading for Kauai. And if the zombies make it onto the island, we're going to move into Coconut Marketplace and build a fence around it. It has everything you need! Shops, restaurants, groceries, booze, and sometimes live music. And it's right next door to Kauai Shores, our go-to hotel. After eating some seriously mediocre meals at some of the "nicer" restaurants in Kapaa, we're pretty content to stick w/ Coconut Marketplace. We've done the Thai, the BBQ, the sushi, and of course, the banana pancakes and loco moco at the Island Market (that place also has arguably the best cheeseburger on the island). read more

My family and I stayed at the Beach Boy and one thing we enjoyed about our stay is the market that is right across the street! We went daily! We also loved the farmers market on Tuesdays. We've been frequenting this marketplace quite alot lately to eat at the Wailua Country Market for lunch. We like to eat at the tables outside but its not to sanitary with those chickens pooping on the floor. Bird poop on one of the chairs that I noticed. There's a resident rooster who thinks he's all that. We enjoy the other food places like Chicken in a Barrel and Jojos Shave Ice. The gallery shop is nice. Like the other clothing and souvenir shops. Wish there were more shops open. read more

I loved how convenient this place was to buy a bit of groceries and souvenirs. They offer a full deli service, a coffee/tea bar and gelato with pastries. One evening it was so late that we didn't feel like going out to dinner so I picked up a fresh prime rib plate for $13.99. The mash potatoes that came with it weren't worth mentioning but the meat itself was delicious. The deli counter closes at 8:00pm and I believe the coffee and gelato bars may close a bit earlier. I also bought most of my souvenirs here. Save your receipts and if they total over a certain amount, you qualify for free gifts. I got a cute Hawaiian mug for spending over $130. read more
