We decided to go to Kings' Shops to walk around. This shopping center is located down the street from Queens' Market. There is a large parking lot. Finding a spot is easy. Free parking. There are more restaurants, dessert spots, and cafes. It also had clothing shops, boutiques, jewelry, etc. More upscale spots. Kings' Shops is an outdoor shopping center like Queens' Market. They carry a number of local artists as well as national brands. Just ask if you want to know which pieces are by locals / islanders. I found a cool little pendant that had Big Island sand in it (I know... totally touristy but it was cute and was by a local), and my mom found some beautiful earrings made by a lady on Maui. The lady manning the store was very personable but not pushy. So, she gets a plus for not pressuring us to buy anything but instead gave us tidbits of info on the local pieces/artists. Stop by and say Hi and take your time to look through everything. You might be surprised. :)
