AMAZING Great people, great prices and great product out the other end! In fact this is a professional family business to the point they will educate you and work with you for drop off and pick ups. We have brought them three elk and they have taught us how we can better care for the meet in the field for a better end product, how to half and quarter it better and anything they can do, they will do for you! Last year I got a bunch of sausage, jerky and steaks. This year I got lots of summer sausage and roasts. When you drop off, they talk with you and it's not like the frumpy butcher that you wonder if your going to get your meat back. These people are amazing, organized and professional. I attached some photos to the Yelp page of the end product, all wraps are frozen so I didn't have to worry about transporting all the way to Phoenix in an ice chest in my truck. They offer an option to deliver to north Phoenix also, but I like the day trip to flag with my kids. read more

I had these people do my Bull Elk I got during the September archery season. I had never used them before, in fact I had never had any of my animals processed I always did it myself. I was a little worried when I showed up because Elk are heavy and they charge by the pound. Plus you never know if your going to get all your meat back that you bring in. I have to say though these people were great got my elk done quickly and I feel they got me every bit of my elk back. I havent had a bad steak yet and the ground was perfect. The prices are fair and the place is clean with friendly people. I would recommend them to any hunter in Northern Arizona. read more

I was referred to this business by a friend of mine while I was Mule Deer hunting in September of 2014. I took my meat to them and they were very friendly. I asked the girl when it would be ready because I was going on a trip and would not return till October 15. 2014. She told me that it would not be ready for pickup till the last week of October or the first week of November and I could pick it up at Sportsmans warehouse in Phoenix for an extra charge. I agreed to the delivery. I checked my messages during my trip to find out that they had called and said that they will be at Sportsmans warehouse on October 4th. I called them and reiterated my situation and was assured that I can get my meat on the next delivery. On October 21. 2014 I went up to pick up my meat since I was going to be in that area anyway. I was greeted by Dennis Champagne giving me a hard time about leaving my meat for such a long time after it was finished and he wanted me to pay an extra $15 a day for storage. I explained what I was told and we agreed that I would leave them an extra $20 for his inconvenience. Now the problems begin. When I got home I didn't have the heart and liver that was left with them, the sausage was made into bulk sausage and not cased. That was how she wrote it up and I didn't realise that she wrote it wrong. I asked for jerky and what I got was cut strips of raw meat. I called Dennis on October 22, 2014 and got part way through what was wrong with my order and he told me " I don't have time to deal with this" and hung up on me. I don't recommend anyone to use this business because they do not care what the customers want. They do it their way. Get them in and get them out. And if you do go to this business, make sure everything and I mean everything is on your receipt. read more

We have been to Dennis several times over the past two years, once last year to process an antelope and twice more recently to process two separate deer. Dennis has always been super friendly and helpful, even making himself available late at night (9 PM). Located outside of Flagstaff off I-40 on way to ABQ so no traffic. Great people, owner was great with my daughter and very personable and helpful. The summer sausage is a great deal and the price for processing was very reasonable, they also offer delivery to Sportsman's warehouse in Phoenix off I-17 this is the only location they drop off at. They have many options for meat processing so ask questions so you get what you want on the receipt. The dried meats get expense fast but worth the price and reasonable or better than other prices. He offers 100% satisfaction, just ask and he will give you all the details. read more

We have used Coconino over the past 8 years and have had many elk processed by Dennis and his crew. They have always been very friendly and took the time to get the order correct. We never felt rushed, and they always took the time to talk about the hunts. The meat was cleaned and processed perfectly. Reasonable prices for great quality work. We have used a lot of meat processors in the past and was referred to Dennis by a friend. We showed up with this huge elk at his door step and he got it in fridge right away. I was referred to them from Game and Fish, They had told Game and Fish they where open till 8 PM. so we noted that and when we shot our elk we knew we had to be there by 8 PM, as we headed out from our location we scooted down the road to get reception to call them, it was a few minutes after 7 so we had plenty of time, when we where able to call they answered and said we are closed, but I said Game and Fish was told by you hat you where open till 8, and she said, MY HUSBAND HAD ARENS TO RUN SO WE CLOSED EARLY ( just a note it was OPENING DAY FOR HUNTING) I said I have an elk I need to hang, can we just hang it for tonight?, her comment was "cant help you", she said just hang it in a tree its cold enough outside, I said I was in Camp Verde its hotter there, she said sorry, "cant help". ( most HOTELS like ours did not have trees to hang deer or elk on) I feel that if a business is referred to by a state agency like the Game and Fish, they should honor the hours as stated, Especially on an Opening Season Day, Thanks to a local who offered to save the day, elk and humanity, he allowed me to leave my truck up north in his location so it would be cold and not let my meat be ruined. a total stranger who was a public official. What a guy. my meat will never go here just because of the "O Well Attitude". read more
