I've been wanting to try a head spa for awhile now, and had to see what it was all about. I went with my 80yr old grandma in Pismo Beach today. It was an amazing experience for both of us. We loved the treatment room for two people. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. It feels like a 90min head scratch/shower that you never want to end. They also do some neck/arm massage and hair steam/blowdry after. I've done moderate scalp care in the past and had washed my hair that morning, but was still surprised to see how much waxy buildup I had. The difference after, is undeniable. I absolutely love this spa! I've been to a few prior and have to say this is my favorite so far. I was able to book with Coco the owner who took her time explaining the treatment, provided recommendations best for me, and make sure the pressure for massage was what I liked. It was beyond relaxing that I didn't want to open my eyes when it was over! I had a special mask put on my hair and wow does my hair not only smell great but my scalp feels cleaner, lighter, and my hair is soooo smooth and shiny! We are so lucky to have a head spa locally! I have had friends go to Coco's Head Spa, and they had so many great things to say, so I finally made an appointment. I saw Coco, and she was great at explaining and recommending a treatment that was right for me. I specifically booked one with an entire scalp treatment. It was 90 minutes, but those minutes flew by! I was amazed by the before and after scalp pictures. The scalp and upper body massage was so relaxing and each product that Coco put on my head smelled fabulous! The room I was in and the spa itself was super clean, and I really enjoyed the weighted comforter that was put on me during the treatment. My hairdresser recommended Coco's and she was so right. I had the special herb package- a scalp treatment and deep facial. The deep facial was very well done. Really nice products that smell great. The scalp treatment was a really nice experience. I felt like a lot of care and attention were spent on the services. First she showed me my scalp on camera. It looked really gross! But after it was so much nicer. The whole process with the head, neck and arm massage, scalp treatment, shampoo, and bow drying was amazing. I fell asleep during the scalp massage. I went in today had an appointment with coco that I made a week ago. They put me in a room got me ready and coco comes in to talk about my hair and then goes to leave. I said I booked an appointment with you and she said well I'm doing a facial right now. If I would have known that I would have just left but they prepped me on a table then decided to give me someone else and didn't even ask me. I went here because I go off reviews and said coco was the best so I booked with her. I was so upset I couldn't even enjoy it. Anna did good but I booked with coco. Should not have an option to pick who you want then put you with someone else. Very disappointing and $150 dollars later. Will not be going back. I went to Coco's for my first time today and had a really wonderful experience! Coco herself is absolutely lovely to work with and left my scalp feeling fresher and cleaner than I can ever remember it feeling. The spa itself has a nice atmosphere and is super clean as well. The massage and scalp rub was really good, but I also tend to like it stronger in a hurt-so-good kind of way, so if you have a more sensitive scalp, they will absolutely be gentler on you, but you can also take an asprin prior to your appointment so you can feel more comfortable and still get a deep clean. read more

The scalp treatment and massages were incredibly relaxing. Starting with a quick scan over your scalp with a high-def camera, Coco and her team points out areas of concern and recommend any specific treatments. Afterward, it's 60+ minutes of alternating scalp and upper body massages, shampooing, and scrubbing, all on a specialized massage table/head rinse station. Warm compresses are placed on various parts of the face, neck, and head, and the entire experience feels like taking a warm and comforting bath. I tend to get bad migraines that prevent me from eating, socializing, or essentially doing anything not in a dark quiet room. On day 4 of this particular migraine I finally worked up the courage to leave my house hoping a head massage might provide some relief. I called but did not get an answer: no big deal, I thought I would just check with them in person. I walked in and they were able to get me in a room within ten minutes (maybe less)! I was a little self conscious about the state of my scalp but Lilly who performed my treatments was so kind, nonjudgmental, and supportive, making me feel instantly at ease. I cannot recommend Lilly more! The treatment included a cleansing, nourishment for my hair, and a head, shoulder, and arm massage. Lilly did a great job of checking in that the pressure used and water temperature were to my liking. I got to see my scalp on the in room treatment screens before and after and could tell what a difference it made! Not to mention my scalp felt so refreshed and hair smelled so clean after! Lily even checked in regarding my missed phone call earlier and explained she was with another client at the time (again no big deal! I work reception and can understand being the only one to manage phone lines) She even returned my call after I left, not realizing I was the one she had just treated. Amazing follow through! As far as the migraine- the pain was noticeably reduced during my treatment and the relief lasted throughout the day! I've already recommended to my mom and sister and would recommend to anyone who suffers migraines as a compliment to your routine migraine treatment! Coco is very warm, caring and professional. She really knows what she is doing and it shows. Not only did we get a very good head, neck, shoulder and arm massage, but we got the added treat of a scalp massage and treatment along with a facial. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the therapist's are very attentive. The place is immaculately clean and the equipment is all brand new and state-of-the-art. They even have the capability of taking magnified before and after pictures of your scalp to show the improvement. The products they use are also very high quality.
