I can't tell you how disappointed I am in this group. I started going here because my niece had worked for them for 29 years. Yes, that's right - 29 years. She was summarily fired recently because a newly hired, unqualified youngster could not do her job. After being given 29 years of loyalty, Dr. Cockrell fired my niece without any notice, without any just cause. How do you do that to an employee who has been loyal to you for almost 30 years?!?This is a person who went above and beyond and formed lasting relationships with all patients coming in and out of that office. Something doesn't smell right about this whole thing. Is the practice in trouble? Is Dr. Cockrell trying to get rid of older employees who are paid a higher rate and vesting in the retirement plan? This just wreaks of problems with the practice, not the employee. Maybe that's why Dr. Cockrell has not yet filed the paperwork to allow my niece to even receive unemployment. What is that about? He doesn't want her, but he doesn't want her to receive any compensation at all for being fired? Something should be done about this. It's no surprise he's lost me as a patient. I am sure there will be more following me out the door and over to a new dentist. read more
