From the first time we stepped into Fairhope Bay Dental, we knew we had found such a place. The office staff is friendly, helpful, and kind. The hygienist is professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. Dr Avery is top notch and knows his stuff! The services he offers covers everything a dental patient could possible need. He even has conscious sedation for anxious dental patients like me and let me say it really works! During my latest procedure, I felt no pain and don't remember a thing. Recently Dr Avery repaired my smile from one I hid from embarrassment. I had ugly, brown, stained bottom teeth that made me feel so self conscious I would hide my smile most of the time. Dr Avery changed all that! Now I smile a lot to show my happiness because Dr Avery restored my bottom teeth to look even better than natural teeth in my opinion. Thank you Dr Avery for giving me my smile back!! And a very special 'thank you' to his friendly office personnel for their warm hospitality and kindness shown to new patients like us.

I have a business to run and my wife was caring for the sick kids, the last thing on her mind is to call and cancel/inform the dentist of what is going on. They took the batch of typical X-rays and the next thing the dentist came in and suggested the removal of a tooth next to a dental implant. This is the first dentist I know that has ever suggested not saving a tooth. I contacted my old dentist from another state who took a look at my X-rays they had on file from just a couple months ago and he didn't see the logic. Furthermore, he advised that removing a tooth next to an implant actually causes more harm than good. Added to the insult, the dentist suggested the complete replacement of a perfectly good crown on the implant...a procedure which is NOT covered by insurance vs a "repair" which is covered. I guess some dentists see a couple of implants and think they can get more $$. I have had a lot of dental work done due to an accident so I know probably more about dentists than I care to admit. So, my best advice is to shop around...not all dentists are created equal. Even though dental insurance is pretty crappy, most dentists understand and work with insurance companies. Save your money and shop around and don't ever go to a dentist that suggest replacing perfectly good dental work just to get an extra dollar.
