WARNING! When anyone wants to take your child to a private room and will not allow parents in, that…read moreis a BIG RED FLAG. Now add to that that your child will be tied down! It is common practice here to put children in a closed private room, refuse to let parent in, and strap them down to a chair with restraints. Sounds false? sounds abusive? ask them! On your first visit when you sign the normal plethora of forms, one of them is a small note giving them permission to use restraints on your child. I put a big NO and did not sign. My son did fine with his cleaning no problems, then needed more work. They brought me the restraint form & said they wouldnt treat him if i didnt sign; He is 9! The dentist who would be with my child in the private room, Dr.Welford, we had never seen and he would not even meet me or talk to me, he stayed hidden in the other room and sent the hygienist to relay messages. Said it was normal for every child to be restrained for their own safety and I would not be allowed in the room. NO WAY!!! What parent would agree to this!!?! Since then Ive heard horror stories from other Moms whose child was taken to the private room and strapped to the chair without their knowledge. Then they LIED to me and said no dentist in Mobile would allow me to stay with child and referred me to some place in P'cola. Needless to say that is far from the truth.

The checkout is not that easy with a bunch of kids. You gotta stand and wait for a long time while they are getting papers ready, medicine. I was asked to pull my cards out two or three times for insurance while holding a baby and keeping up with my other two kids. They could work on that, but I am pleased with the office.

I have a business to run and my wife was caring for the sick kids, the last thing on her mind is to call and cancel/inform the dentist of what is going on. Yes I understand what is in the contract but from a business standpoint one would think of keeping clients long term and not charging them $200 for a no show. Poor business decision!!! After seeing her a couple of times, all 4 of my children now use Dr. Baldy. She is a very caring and kind dentist. She cares about her patients so much that around the holidays she offered me a bike to give my son for Christmas. I visited Krempa's practice to have a crown re-cemented. Dr. Martin performed the procedure. I paid…read morethe full price in cash. Two weeks later, the crown popped off. Naturally, I went back. This time Dr.Krempa took care of it. And promptly charged me again!!! When I complained to Dr.Krempa, he basically said, "Too bad." I found Krempa to be an arrogant prick and I can't warn you enough not to go to him. He obviously does not stand behind his own office's work. While the staff was very nice, you could sense they were walking on eggshells working for this guy. You could feel the tension. Avoid this dentist at all costs. If I could leave negative stars, I would.
