I did the sourdough baking class. That was a wonderful,…read moreenlightening experience. The class size was about 8-10 of us, a nice mix of people like me who were new to the sourdough adventure, and some more experienced. The class was $200. The different stages of starter development, proofing, fermentation, shaping and baking were demonstrated. At the end, you get a container of starter and a loaf to take home. For a new sourdough baker, I wish there was more hands on so you feel the textures of the dough.

I love everything about this bakery. I purchase thier brioche buns at Custom Meats in Fairfield…read more(now a staple in my home-so fantastic) and decided to finally check this place out. There are sandwiches, sweet treats, sourdough bread varieties, focaccia, cookies, coffee and more. The place is inviting and casual with air of class and attention to detail. Very welcoming. There is seating avaible to enjoy your coffee or cornetto. The products are all thoughtfully displayed and the service was genuinely friendly and upbeat. The cornetto with him and cheese was a simple and delicious sandwich. The bomboloni (1 pistachio and 1 lemon) were light and decadent at the same time, with a creamy custard like filling with subtle tastes of lemon and pistachio. I will be coming back for these. The garlic sourdough was filled with whole garlic gloves baked in with a nice chewy outside crust and soft inside. The country sourdough was equally amazing. Both great for dipping, sandwiches, toast, or simply spreading with a good quality butter or jam. There are no preservatives or artificial ingredients and all is made by hand. Right off the Post Rd in Westport with a small parking lot shared with other businesses. I highly recommend and will be a regular!

If you're on the hunt for a traditional French bakery with authentic French and European pastries, desserts, and breads, you will happily walk out of here with a bag of wonderful goodies. When you walk in, you'll come across a tempting display case piled high with their baked goods. I saw platters of croissants of every description! Plain, Chocolate, Choc/Raspberry, Almond, Almond/Choc, Croissant Donuts and Croissant donut holes. But wait there's more! Brioches, chocolate Plies, Pinwheels, fruit turnovers, Cinnamon Rolls, Coffee Cakes, Danishes, Beignets, Scones, Fruit Tarts, Palmiers. The list goes on and on and I haven't even gotten to their cookies, macarons, baguettes, rolls, challah, cakes, quiches, and sandwiches. Seriously, you can have three meals a day here for a month and never duplicate anything. When I walked in, the dining room was pretty busy with customers enjoying a late lunch. The ordering line for baked goods was around five deep, which gave me plenty of time to check out the goods. I ended up with a nice assortment of a chocolate croissant, a chocolate Plie, a fruit turnover, donuts, and a fruit pie. We had some of the goodies last night and a bit more for breakfast today. The chocolate plié was amazing, and honestly, everything we've tried so far has been great. Easy FIVE STARS, n'est-ce pas?
