The Adelaide Hills. What's not to like? The road from Piccadilly to Uraidla is the one most travelled by people passing through, however there's another way to get there which is via Swamp rd and Basin rd. This way you get a much better view of Mount Lofty and have the chance to grab some locally grown veggies from Cobbledick Bros roadside stall.
It's an unmanned stall and you have to bring cash and be honest about what you take. If you're buying $8 worth of veggies and you only have a $10 note, guess what... you're leaving a tip.
The Cobbledick bros are local farmers and the veggies are grown right next to the stall so you know that they are fresh. They grow huge cabbages, lettuces and broccoli as well as beetroot, onions, carrots, spring onions , leeks and more. You never know what will be in their boxes, but it's always fresh and seasonal. There's no better way to buy veggies in my opinion.
They also stock some local favourites such as Ashton Valley Crush apple juice. All at great prices and fresh as you can get. read more
