Wow... what an amazing park!…read more Rosebud Park seems to be the mecca of the all-around family or reunion park. It has two (yes, two) playgrounds, two (yes, again two) swing sets, a half and full basketball court (with bleachers), a small soccer field (for kids or a NFL Blitz type adult game) with nets included, a pavilion and a small baseball field (incorporated with the soccer field). What makes all this even better is that they include a port-o-potty (no running somewhere else to use the restroom while spending the day with the kids). The only downside I can see is the parking situation (you have to park on the street, so parking is somewhat limited). But overall, if you're looking for a great outdoor place to hang out, or to play a basketball game then this is the perfect park for you.

Absolutely LOVE this park!…read more It is usually always clean, well-lit and has plenty of playgrounds and activities for the kids to play on! Our absolute favorite is the mini merry-go-round that is right by the entrance to the park. It tilts a bit and that makes it spin even faster. Not many parks offer this and we loved it! They also have bleachers and plenty of benches! There is also a beautiful walking trail for those looking to work-out or run while their children play! My only downsides are that there are no bathrooms. They were torn down in 2009. There is a disgusting porta-a-potty that I would never use. Also, like the previous poster said, there are NO parking spaces! You must park on the street and risk getting hit by a car while getting our of your vehicle. I'd definitely recommend this for families. Beautiful park!

Aaaaamazing!!! This…read morepark checks every box. Walkable, bike friendly, and perfect for a solid run. The trail is paved and lined with mile markers, which I always appreciate. Each bridge has clear street signs and access points with stairs or exits, so you can hop on or off wherever you need. There are also location markers along the trail, (for emergency purposes )which is great for safety in such a large park. Playgrounds are scattered throughout, and there is even a basketball court tucked under a bridge with really cool graffiti that gives it some personality. The park is clean. Like noticeably clean. Restrooms are mostly portable, but many are enclosed in small structures so they blend in better and are not an eyesore. And yes, they were clean. You will find kayaking launch areas, fishing spots, picnic tables, and benches everywhere. There is plenty of space to spread out without feeling isolated. It is not overcrowded, but you are not alone either. The crowd felt easygoing, and cyclists were respectful. I felt completely safe the entire time. There are multiple paths to switch things up, plus a few shorter gravel routes if you want a change of pace. I even spotted e bike stations along the way. Honestly, this park sits right in the heart of Fort Worth and makes it feel like you do not even need a car in this part of DFW. One of the best runs I have had in a while.

I can do anything. This gym was one of the weirdest gyms I've ever been to, but I kind of have a soft spot for it. I felt like we were the first people to use it in three months. They brought out the AC (a big old fan), and turned on the music just for us when we got there, and we were the only people there for the first hour or so. Then a bunch of old people showed up and used it with us as well as a couple of cute people and some really loud guys who are like the kind of guys that would get kicked out of Planet Fitness. The showers were not very good. The nice guy at the front desk brought me ice (to preserve my antibiotics for my finger that I nearly lost in Harvey), and then the nice woman in the fitness room told me to keep the container. Everyone was really friendly and it's kind of sad that not very many people use this gym, except around evening time apparently... Also, lizards use this gym. I found a lizard in the bathroom and saved him. He's super cute. He's now free. I hope he has a long and very lizard friendly life. The showers and lockers are really old but the locker room itself is fine. They only have one bike that I could possibly use, so I guess I was lucky that nobody wanted to use it during the time I was using it. Speaking of using it, want to use it? (Pulls down pants)

By far my favorite LA FITNESS in all of DFW…read more Staff: I walk in and they're very welcoming and on top of helping people scan in their garage tickets or the App. I usually go in the early mornings but throughout the day the staffs attitude is overall awesome. Leadership here, in my opinion, has created a fun environment for them it seems like. Management: I signed up for personal training at another LA fitness location but wasn't feeling it there and came here. Their boss man (Brad) who runs the personal training at this location was extremely helpful and was straight forward on the plan/prices when I wanted to upgrade my contract. He got me in with one of the trainers named Taylor Jones. I've been with Taylor for a few months and it's been game changing. Like a lot of people, I desperately needed a trainer because I had no idea what I was doing, I was struggling and about to quit. But man having a trainer like Taylor changed everything. He's been educating me on gym equipment use, form, technique, and nutrition. Investing in a trainer was the best decision I ever made for my health and I'm even more fortunate to have gotten a great one like Taylor Jones!! Cleanliness/environment: They're majority of the times on top of the cleanliness in the weight room and mens locker room. Usually the mess I see is from someone who's constantly a liter bug, doesn't re-rack weight or is just a straight A-hole to the staff. I don't expect the gym to always be squeaky clean but like I said it's usually from inconsiderate gym goers. Locker rooms are lockers rooms and will have odd smells and what not from active gym bros sweating, spraying body spray and clothes. Other than that this locker room is well stocked with towels/soap/working water fountains. Overall a solid Gym to go to, staff is always welcoming, the gym community here is encouraging and thankful to have made the switch to LA FITNESS WEST 7th

The splash pad is surrounded by a chain link fence... never a great sign. That being said, the splash pad itself is pretty fun. It wasn't the largest splash pad I've been too, but it also wasn't the smallest, and there were many different water features to frolick in. Texas is HOT and I support all efforts to promote outdoor play for children. It made me happy to see a bunch of kids running around in the water having a great time, burning off energy and enjoying the outdoors. The big negative for this splash pad - aside from the restroom accommodations - is that the water shuts off every 30 minutes for a 15 minute break. There might be a good reason for the break, but somehow most splash pads in DFW have found a solution to whatever problem has presented itself in terms of water usage. Shutting off the water and leaving kids sitting on hot concrete in the oppressive afternoon sun for 15 minutes every half hour is unreasonable. This issue needs to be addressed. The park beyond the play ground and splash pad actually looked quite nice. Lots of trees, anyway. I don't think those roads have been paved in 40 years though. With housing prices going up and property tax revenue flowing in, it might not be a bad idea for the city of Fort Worth to throw a little money toward the Sycamore Community Center Park (and Splash Pad). At least find a way to keep the water flowing.
