Not sure if this is typical for the business, but beware that this is a possibility. Incompetence or laziness I'm not sure, but either way it's not how a business should be run.

After having Home Depot intervene at the end of the Summer, they stated that they would put the work at the top of the list. How long have they had the equipment? Four weeks and counting! And they did additional work that they now claim did not need to be done, and without getting our authorization to do the work, want to charge us for it. And they would not deliver unless we would agree to pay. Avoid Maxx Powersport at all costs!!!!

If I could give less than a star I would. The customer service is very poor (Especially Hunter) and…read morethey charge an arm and a leg. I called three weeks ago to get a repair and service done. I was told that it would take about 2-3 weeks to get my lawnmower looked at for a quote. I was fine with this because I understand that this is peak season, so I waited patiently. I was explained the fees and such and expected around $300-400 for everything. Anyway, I waited the almost three weeks and called back to see the status on my quote. Hunter did not give me a definite answer immediately and said he would call me back. I waited three days with no response. (apparently someone typed the wrong phone number.) Somehow the repairs/service then went up to about $760 dollars for new blades, a spring service and a belt replacement. I respectively declined after speaking to a few people about my quote. My lawnmower brand new is around $1700. After declining, Hunter said he would call me back with another quote for the pick up fee and the diagnostic; which I am not sure why they need to call back for that. The diagnostic fee and the pick up for the lawnmower ended up being over 100 dollars, which I find ridiculous. (My father in law is picking up the lawnmower at the shop now, so they never had to even bring my mower back to me.) I doubt the diagnosis took the techs very long and this fee was never explained at the beginning. I asked Hunter if that fee was added after I decided not to do business with them and that is when Hunter began passive aggressively arguing with me. I tried cutting him off saying I was just voicing that I feel like their services are way too expensive and Hunter continued to argue with me. At one point, I had to tell Hunter that I found him very unprofessional that he was still arguing with me after I began giving him my credit card information. His response was "I would expect a comment like that from you". That is not how you treat customers period, even if the customer decided that they were too expensive. Most of my life I worked customer service and was a manager in the optical field for five years. When customers complained that my products were too expensive I just listened apologized and kept it moving; never would I of argued with them! That is a lesson Hunter needs to learn. I hope anyone who reads this finds a better lawnmower repair shop with better customer service, a faster turn around time for quotes, and one that has fairer repair/service rates!

I told them what was wrong with it and they said fine. They tested the other pulleys and the spindles that the blesses are mounted on and said all should be replaced. I authorized the repairs and didn't hear back from them. 5 weeks later I called and they said they hadn't received the parts. I went onto Amazon and got the parts in less than 3 days delivered to my home at A cost of $175. They were going to charge me -almost 300 for the parts and another 400 plus to do the rebuild for a total of almost $800. So I called and said I'd be picking up the mower deck. I found it out back with a bunch of other parts. I rebuilt the mower deck in a little over an hour. Literally fewer than a dozen bolts. Then I receive a bill for $104 from them for their diagnosis- you know the one that I gave them in the first place. This place is terrible. Their customer service is poor. They are disorganized and can't keep track of anything. It's amazing they are in business at all. I will NEVER go there again. never.

Like they are doing you a favor to even talk to you. I called them last August, they didn't have what I needed and they gave me Woodstock Equipment's number. I thought they were affiliated. THEY ARE NOT. Eric answered the phone. He is one the most knowledgeable and friendly people I've had the pleasure of dealing with in a long time. I had some issue with a Kubota mower. He is the only one that could tell me what he thought the problem was. He was right both times. They had the parts I needed in stock. Eric shipped my order out the same day, for a reasonable price both times. I am now a Woodstock Equipment customer thanks to Eric.

A week later, they call and tell us you need this part (the part we told them a week ago). Another we goes by and they tell us they found another problem. Now another week goes by to order a part. Meantime I have to borrow other peoples lawnmowers to get my grass cut which is way too high! A maintenance service should have parts in stock if they intend to be a full time service company. Come on guys! If your love is being a mechanic then be one. Their commercials on TV as a family oriented atmosphere is baloney. I live on a golf course in Western Loudoun and own my golf cart. I had received a mailer from Mark's Equipment Repair and decided to give them a call. I spoke with Kim, Mark's wife and partner and was impressed with her good manners. They scheduled a time to come and pickup my cart and make the repairs. Kim and Mark were amazing! She texted me several times during the process with updates on parts ordered and timelines. I was very impressed with Kim's knowledge and later found out that she had spent a career in the auto repair and parts business and it showed in her acumen. She was very cordial and detail oriented and communcated frequently. Mark completed the repairs and his work and attention to detail were beyond expectation. His electrical repairs were incredibly neat and tidy and right on the money! I had mentioned to Mark when he initially picked up my cart that I wish I could slide under my cart to check on things and he literally gave me a free set of wheel ramps so I could drive my cart up and slide under to make minor repairs or touch up paint under the cart body! I was blown away as I had gone to several places looking to acquire them without luck! The price of the repairs was very reasonable and the work was completed quickly and very well done which I appreciated because I wanted to get back to golfing! I had new cushions made for a chair. After much discussion the fabric and foam cushioning was…read moredecided, the deposit made (extremely pricey $$$$) in January. I finally received word it was ready for pickup nearly 6 months later. I was notified that the door would be locked and to knock. Prior to this customers could just walk in. It was wrapped in plastic and I could not sit in it nor examine it, there was a rush to get me out the door. I paid the $$$$ balance and brought it home, excited to have it done. I sat in it and was immediately disappointed that it was not as we discussed and what was spelled out in detail on my itemized receipt. Appears that the correct foam for the chair back was not ordered. The chair pushes you out because the back is as thick as the seat cushion which is wrong. I did have an immediate conversation with Gina who sounded upset that I was not overjoyed with the result. I asked her when I could bring it back, she said the crew was backed up and had projects they had to get out; that she would be in contact with me. Needless to say it is Aug 31 and I have tried to contact by phone and text many times with no reply. Gina also knew I had an ottoman/footstool I also wanted completed for this chair and I suppose that may never happen. The cushions of the chair, other than the back cushion, are wonderfully constructed with great care and attention to detail. I am very upset and confused as to why I cannot get them to reply to correct this obvious error on the back cushion. I also had made it known that I had other similar chairs I wanted to have restored in the future; what a shame that it has come to this! I am seriously considering back-charging this with my credit card company in hopes to have resolution.
