Miles treated us like personal friends while he taught us all about winemaking and his journey. His wife made us a tasty charcuterie board as well. If you like delicious natural wines I highly recommend visiting Miles. I've never had a wine tasting that felt so personal and to be able to hang out with the original winemaker is quite awesome too. Their wines were reasonably priced around $20. Also, we called the day before to see if they were open. Augustino Vineyard and Winery, Obrien, OR - September 28, 2024…read more This is the third Harvest Host vineyard and winery we've been to. So far, we're batting a thousand - all great experiences. This is another great place to park your RV for a night or two, enjoy some nice scenery, try some good wine, and just hang out if it suits your fancy. The communication with the Harvest Host was good. We were given good instructions to find the winery off of Highway 199. As you're driving in on Gene Brown Road you'll come to two signs, one says Tasting Room with an arrow pointing straight ahead, the other sign says Harvest Host with an arrow pointing to the left. You turn left there and drive short ways in. On the right hand side you'll see the sites 9 through 12. You pick an empty spot and get set up. We stayed in site 12 the first night. It's a very spacious site with a picnic table and nice trees overhead. Once we got our site set up and we drove up to the winery and tasting room, which is about a half a mile away. It is a very cool treehouse tasting room. It has both an indoor seating area as well as a beautiful outdoor patio with about seven or eight tables. Our hostess's name was Angel. She was very friendly and set us up with some nice flights of wine. Wines are reasonably priced in the $25-$36 range. We tried a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Temprano, and Cabernet Savignon. All the wines were very nicely done. The tasting fee is $12 per person, which is waived with a two bottle purchase. We ended up getting two bottles of Chardonnay. Angel gave us some good advice about things to do while we were in the area. We went to Cave Junction the following day after we moved our motorhome to a full hook up paid site a little closer to the tasting room. After visiting Cave Junction, we went over to the tasting room again at around three in the afternoon and had a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio and enjoyed it on the elevated outdoor patio. The view of the property from the full hook up paid sites is very nice. You can see the vineyard and then the beautiful tree covered mountains in the distance. We were very happy with our stay here.

So for Lunch one day, we drove out toe Irvine & Roberts for a wine tasting flight and to share a really delicious and intriguing cheese plate. The outside deck, the view, the service, and of course the wine were all stunning. My only regret was not taking pictures on this gorgeous (and a bit windy) day of the surrounding hills and valley. We also brought some wine home (Rose and Chardonnay) and was surprised that we didn't join the Wine Club as we sometimes do on special experiences such as this.
