So we found Abby thanks to Yelp, and were thrilled with the photos that she produced. We booked our sunset appointment with her for a few days after we got engaged, and met Abby at the appointed place at the appointed time (timeliness counts for something in my book). Abby had some ideas, and was helpful in posing us but also let us be ourselves and relax and feel natural. The resulting photos turned out great. Abby got us some quick wins (iPhone photos for fast sharing with family) and then sent us the full set of images less than a week later - earlier than promised. All said and done, we would love to recommend Abby to others and look forward to taking more photos with her the next time we are on Maui!

The communication was also excellent--they responded quickly whenever I had questions or concerns. When I received my photos, I wasn't completely happy with all of them. Some of the angles were a little awkward, and I felt several photos needed additional retouching. I reached out to them, and they were very responsive. They happily retouched the photos I requested and even upgraded my photo package, which I really appreciated. Their willingness to make things right showed that they genuinely care about customer satisfaction. While I'd rate the photos themselves around 4 stars, I'd give their customer service 4.5 to 5 stars. Because they listened to my feedback, responded promptly, and worked with me to improve the final product, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and friendly photography experience in Maui.

The Best Family Photo Experience on Maui -- with the Amazing Lisa Bernasek!…read more Family photo sessions usually fall somewhere between "mildly painful" and "please, make it stop." But our time with Lisa Bernasek completely flipped that script. From the moment we met her on the beach, she put us at ease -- no stiff poses, no forced smiles, just genuine laughter, ocean breezes, and that Maui magic. Lisa somehow managed to capture our family exactly as we are -- joyful, goofy, and (thanks to her direction) surprisingly photogenic! Even my husband, who typically treats photo sessions like a root canal, admitted he actually had fun. That's saying something. The photos turned out beyond stunning -- vibrant, natural, and full of the aloha spirit. Every shot feels like a little time capsule from our trip, filled with the warmth and beauty of Maui. If you want photos that truly capture the feeling of your time on the island -- not just what you looked like -- do yourself a favor and book with Lisa. She's a true artist, an absolute professional, and just a lovely human. Mahalo, Lisa, for giving us memories we'll treasure forever!
