This review is a long time coming, and I was just reminded to write it…read more In 2015 I purchased a new 5th wheel trailer. With it, I pre-paid for three years of roadside assistance through Good Sam Club. A year after I bought the RV I went on a road trip that was about 1200 miles round trip. On the way out, I got a flat, and called for assistance. On the way back, my truck's alternator went out, again, called assistance. About six months later, I was driving home from having picked the rig up from service, when another tire blew out, this time causing $5000 worth of damage to the RV. Again, I called for assistance. The plan I paid for was "Unlimited". About a month after my third service call in two years, I received a letter from Good Sam saying that due to excessive service calls, they would no allow me to renew my membership. Today, four years later, and after an extended period of not having been RVing, I decided to purchase roadside assistance again. I called Good Sam, and my account is flagged, and they will not allow me to purchase a plan. Okay, bye Felicia.... Here are my issues: 1) If I sign up for unlimited, I expect unlimited. I never abused my account, I was genuinely stranded on the side of the road, twice over 400 miles from home! 2) If the RV industry didn't use horrible materials (i.e. the cheapest tires they can buy) I wouldn't have this problem to begin with. I shouldn't need to buy four new tires a year after I bought my brand new RV. How does this relate to Good Sam? They behave as stewards within the industry. And quite frankly, they are very well known within the camping/RV industry, so I'm sure they have some weight. With the amount of calls they no doubt get for flat tires, they should be communicating with the manufacturers to remedy this issue. P.S. When I called to inquire about plans and pricing, they have a plan that includes tire replacement. Upon inquiry, they do not replace your blown out tire with an exact replica, they put whatever they want to pay for on. That leaves me to believe that they will cap the cost to what is likely an inferior tire, which only puts you back to square one of having some junk tire put on. Since I spent the time and money to get some high quality tires, that sounds like a bad deal to me.
