Considering the mess created from dragging the trimmings across the backyard and into the driveway for chipping, I was expecting a big mess to clean up, especially given my experience with ythe way most contractors "clean up" when they're done. I was shocked at the cleaning job they did- they left it cleaner than when they'd arrived! They did such a hack job that two of the trees became infested with some kind of insect that killed them, and they also killed three others. They were total butchers. I needed to save the rest of the trees and so I called Kelvin and his guys. What an amazing job they did! You can actually feel the happiness emanating from my fruit trees now! They definitely cost more than 500 bucks but the amount of work they did for the price I paid was tremendous! Kelvin really knows his stuff and his guys are all really great. I share the…read morefollowing story to give insight into how I appreciate the don't pressure or try to 'upsell' any services. First visit was to remove a GIANT Indian Laurel Fig tree. I asked them to walk the yard and make any other recommendations. He stated everything looked good and none of the trees required any work. He gave me an estimate for the tree removal we wanted and scheduled the work. They were prompt when they came to do the service, and cleaned up the area afterwards. The second visit was this fall. We have grown tired a couple of our palm trees dropping seeds, and we notice one of our palm trees starting to develop a small defect. So we called him back out to give us an assessment and estimate. He again walked the yard and stated none of the trees required any immediate attention. The palm with the defective would probably need to come down sometime in the future, but wasn't in any immediate danger; it was still very strong and solid. Essentially, any work we wanted done now would simply be for our preference, but nothing required any work for the health of the trees or safety. We told him we wanted to go ahead and pull the palm down and also remove the pods from the remaining palms. He gave us a quote on the spot and scheduled the service for a couple weeks in the future. His team showed up when they said, completed the work, and left the area clean and looks like they were never there. In summary, reliable, effective, and not pushy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have a stressed out 30 year Brazilian Coral tree which Joseph assessed and thought it was in need of a fungicide spray, based on the fallen leaves etc., and an aggressive cut back of what appeared to be a diseased canopy of cracked branches. "AI"didn't agree with him based on the symptoms, the time of the year, the age of the tree etc. It thought cutting it back midsummer during peak growth would send it over the brink...and "thought" fungicide spray was a waste of money...it directed me toward getting an assessment for possible boring larvae and its treatment I engaged in a discussion of these findings w Joseph and he was patient and accommodating. I thought the trunk fungicide spray quote of $400 was a bit high, but that's the nature of the business.

We have had Bob Loft and his crew maintain the trees at two homes over 20 years now and we we will…read morenot use anyone else, especially after this last experience a week or so ago. We purchased a home with a beautiful, established elm tree in the back yard, albeit one that was a bit overgrown. We had Bob out a year ago and he actually declined the work, letting us know that we didn't need to have the work done then... This year, we both agreed it was time to trim and the aesthetic care an artistic treatment Bob and his crew performed on the elm tree are spectacular... The tree is now shapely, has air space for light and the birds can now easily alight amidst its branches... The palm trees got a nice haircut and the sycamore tree in front got pulled back tastefully from the neighbor's airspace. The crew got to our place right on time and were done and completely cleaned up, chipped and gone in about 3 hours, with precision.. They even moved our yard statuary and decorations to avoid damaging them... This kind of old-school care and professionalism is why Bob Loft is the only arborist/tree trimmer we'll use... The other neighbors have used fly-by-night hack crews that come in and "top" the trees for a rock-bottom price, but their trees look like butchered stumps and frequently don't look good even after they have a year or two to regenerate... With Bob & his crew, your trees look good and healthy from the moment they leave your property... Plus, Bob will tell you some genuinely funny (and CLEAN) jokes while he's on the job with his crew... Five stars all the way, for over 25 years.... Thanks Bob! You are the best....
