Jay uses the latest technologies to design the system and communicated with us through every step in the process. We felt like informed partners, not just clients. Mitsubishi models are not cheap, but they are the best quality on the market. Jay makes the process so much easier by taking the rebate off his price up front, so he is the one who has to wait for the rebate- not you! That also means you can totally trust his work, because if it's not done right, he doesn't get paid! I can't say enough about the quality of both his work and the electrician's. They were prompt, clean, and did such a beautiful job that even my critical contractor father was impressed! The mini splits are working very well, even in this cold winter. It really cleaned out the main room, and made sleeping far more enjoyable on stuffy nights. My long haired German Shepherd really loved it as well. There were days without it on hot stretches where I was wondering if he was going to overheat and have a medical issue. Not to hear him panting on oppressive days was what made me feel as though I did the right thing, and I have no regrets. Regarding Baystate, Jason was a clear choice. I shop around for everything and am picky and Very cheap. I have dealt with many construction and contractors for decades and can read people very well. I had about 8 companies come and give me quotes and all of them were trying to hustle me. I randomly called Baystate, 45 miles from my house, trying to avoid the scammers on Cape Cod, and it was fate. He was happy to do the ride. I trusted and got a good vibe right away, he was a straight shooter. Jason was as as honest as you will find, and knowledgable. He reminds me of a younger version of me (a bundle of helpful energy). I was renting a co-op sort of house where we all get two weeks in the summer and are responsible for arranging our own cleaning before we leave. The people who rent the weeks before us are both cheap ... and slobs. They 'semi' clean the house themselves to save money vs. hiring someone and do a poor job. So, we never trust them to clean well. This year, more than ever, we wanted a top to bottom cleaning of the house to ensure all was good from a pandemic perspective given the slobs that rent the weeks before us, so I did a little research and called Cape Cod Cleaning Collaborative because they seemed to have the most trustworthy reviews. I spoke to the owner who returned my message promptly and asked me several questions about my needs. She mentioned that unfortunately, she isn't taking new clients this season due to a reduced work force and also, they can't clean houses as a one-off. They will do a 'deep clean' of a house at the beginning of the season and then come in for 'touch ups' but don't really do the whole 'I have the house for this week and would like it cleaned when I arrive' type of thing. If you rent a house, the home owner would likely have to have this deep clean done at the beginning of the season and then schedule subsequent cleanings for when guests leave. This wasn't our situation. I see that some reviews get a little pissy about this protocol but I have to respect it because it means they do a great job, are thorough, and don't go through the motions. If I owned a house on Cape Cod, I'd certainly use no other company but this one to clean it based on this interaction. However, the owner was great about passing on the name of the company she uses to sanitize and clean carpets in the homes she deep-cleans when she heard of my concerns about covid. She sent an email to that company's owner referring me to his business and he ended up coming in and doing a fantastic job of sanitizing the house and carpets for a great price. She didn't have to make that referral for me and did not benefit from it financially ... she was just trying to be helpful. Another reason why I would choose this business over any other business on Cape Cod, if I owned a house. Based on our initial conversation, it seems like the business owner really takes into account the needs of the customer and doesn't cut corners. I passed her name along to the person who owns the house we all split weeks at during the summer and I can only hope he will call her to arrange for cleaning going forward vs. everyone doing their own thing. Like I said, even when things didn't work out in terms of doing business together, the owner went out of her way for us and we were grateful for that. If I do end up buying a house on Cape Cod one day, this is the only company I'd call to set up cleaning.
