As someone pursuing a career in speech-language pathology, I am so grateful for everything I was able to learn during my time here, as well as the connections I built. I had the opportunity to observe a variety of therapy sessions and learn about different treatment approaches. One thing that really stood out to me was how the SLP's create such a positive, fun, and comfortable environment for their clients while still working towards their individual goals. My experience at Mosaic not only taught me so much about the field but also strengthened my passion for becoming an SLP. I am so grateful to have been part of such an amazing team and would highly recommend Mosaic Therapy Collective to anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and dedicated group of SLPs!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Mosaic Therapy! Our 7-year-old son, who is on the autism…read morespectrum, has been receiving services here for over three years, and the progress he has made--especially with his speech--has been truly incredible. Our 2-year-old daughter has also been attending for the past three months, and we are already seeing such meaningful improvements. The therapists at Mosaic are beyond wonderful--so kind, patient, and genuinely invested in each child's growth. Their talent, compassion, and dedication shine through in everything they do. Caitlin has been our therapist the whole time and she is the best in Santa Barbara in my opinion. This place has truly changed our family's life for the better, and we are so grateful for the support and care we've received. We wholeheartedly recommend Mosaic Therapy to any family looking for high-quality, compassionate care for their children with special needs.

I scheduled as a new patient but chose not to move forward after reviewing the paperwork and asking…read morequestions about a billing policy that I believe patients should be aware of before starting care. Their new patient paperwork states that a $100 "Administrative Fee" is due at the time of evaluation, is not billed to insurance, and is charged "per case." I was told over the phone that different referral areas, such as cervical spine and lumbar spine, could be treated as separate cases. When I called for clarification, the office confirmed that this fee is for internal administrative tasks such as maintaining the patient profile, correspondence with doctors, referrals, and related office communications. They also confirmed it is charged in addition to insurance copays/coinsurance and is not billed to insurance because they consider it "non-medical." Patients using Tricare, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, or any in-network insurance plan should be very careful before paying this type of fee. For covered medical care, your patient responsibility should generally be determined by your insurance plan/EOB - such as copay, deductible, or coinsurance - not by a separate office-created "administrative," "access," or "per case" fee. Tricare/TriWest specifically told me that both the facility and PT were in-network for my plan and that contracted providers may not charge beneficiaries separate administrative, concierge, or access fees for medical services. The Tricare/TriWest Provider Handbook states: "Providers may not charge TRICARE beneficiaries administrative fees." This is especially concerning for elderly, disabled, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and military-family patients who may assume that if a front desk asks for payment, they are legally required to pay it. Before paying any separate fee like this, I strongly recommend calling your insurance plan and asking: Is this provider in-network for my exact plan? Are they allowed to collect a separate administrative/access fee in addition to my copay, deductible, or coinsurance? Should I pay anything that is not shown as my responsibility on an EOB? I cannot speak to the quality of the physical therapy itself because I canceled before being seen. But I did not feel comfortable receiving care from a practice that required this type of fee and did not respond to my written questions asking what non-covered service the fee was for.

They charged a $100 "administrative fee". Because they accept Medicare, it is illegal for them to…read morecharge Medicare patients this extra fee. But the actual physical therapy was OK. It's just their billing that needs to change.

So impressed and grateful for Alan's expertise......Alan visited our house to evaluate the…read moresituation for our mother (86 yrs old, CHF, COPD) and our brother (spina bifida, paraplegic, short bowel syndrome) and he was so kind, caring, sensitive and informative. My mother was at French Hospital (4 days), followed by a stay at the Mission View skilled nursing facility (3 weeks). We asked Alan to come to the home to evaluate the environment, make suggestions about improvements, and give us expert information about what other services may be available to us and services which might benefit us. Based on Alan's understanding of the local offerings, he was able to point us in the right direction and offer his personal follow-up. His experience and expertise were EXACTLY what we needed to bring our mother home and continue her care as well as improve the living conditions for our brother. We were so impressed with Alan's expertise and compassion - my sister wrote a recommendation to the social workers at French Hospital to be sure to include Alan's business as a resource for those in our situation. He fills a HUGE gap in the adventure of taking great care of elderly, or invalid relatives. Thanks to Alan - we will be able to care for our mother at home, rather than warehousing her in a nursing facility. Thank you Alan! :)

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience was important to share…read more My first visit mostly involved intake with the physical therapist and a short treatment on my hand, which seemed fine. During my second visit: * I only saw the PT briefly before being directed to a young assistant who was not a physical therapist. * The treatment room was extremely cramped with essentially no privacy between patients. * While using ultrasound on my finger joint, the assistant became distracted in a side conversation with another staff member. * The ultrasound wand was repeatedly left sitting in one place instead of being kept moving. * This caused a burning sensation in the joint. I understand ultrasound is normally kept moving during treatment, which is why this concerned me. * I moved the wand several times myself until I eventually asked her to stop as the discomfort was increasing. * I was also instructed to perform one of the exercises incorrectly. When I mentioned the ultrasound issue to the PT on my way out, the concern did not appear to be taken seriously. When I later called to cancel my remaining appointments, I had to leave multiple voicemails during business hours and received no call back. After four attempts I finally reached the receptionist. Overall, in my experience this did not reflect the level of patient attention or professionalism I expect from a physical therapy clinic. I'm sharing this feedback in hopes it helps improve patient care going forward. I have since switched to AG Physical Therapy, where experienced therapists provide focused, professional care.

My introduction to the front office was not good at all. I spoke with Jeremy in that regard and let him know exactly how I felt about the greeting I received from the lady in the front. Since that time, I strictly deal with the younger lady and my front office experience has gone much better for me.
