I brought my daughter here about a year ago to get treatment for some painful, persistent acne. We saw Michelle Roy and she was amazingly kind and patient. She prescribed medication that cleared up my daughter's skin in a matter of weeks and gave her great tips on preventative care. Fast forward to today. I had a questionable skin spot that my primary doc said needed immediate attention. Called first thing this morning and they were able to squeeze me in as a new patient same day! I saw Dr. Kimmis who was thorough and personable. Ended up needing a small biopsy and he walked me through the whole procedure and after care before even getting started. He was professional and efficient but I never felt rushed. I could not believe I was in and out in less than twenty minutes! The scheduling, check in and checkout is low effort. The reception area and treatment rooms are pristine. The location is easy access with ample off street parking. I've noticed they do cosmetic procedures as well if that's something you fancy. Low effort and kind medical care. Nice.

I was referred to this practice by my GP who had a particular physician in mind but knew they would…read morehave a full schedule and to not expect an appointment with that physician. The first open appointment was with a PA which I was given. The office is accessed from the back of the building on the lower level. There is plenty of parking in this area. Once in the back door, the office is straight ahead. The staff all seem very busy. The were pleasant enough but also not chatty. Slide open the window, take my information, told to wait. Window closes. Pretty standard. I was the only one in the waiting area so I wandered around a looked at some of the information they had available on skin care treatments offered. Almost spa-like services. The reception/waiting area is very bare bones with no windows and hard seats. It took several minutes to be called back where I was placed in an exam room. The tech who brought me to the exam room verified why I was being seen. I expressed my concerns. She seemed very pleasant and left. I waited in that room quite a while. I could hear someone coming and going in the hall so one provider must have been going from room to room. When it was my turn the PA arrived with the tech. He greeted me, verified why I was there and then began speaking to the tech like I wasn't in the room. He sat on a stool, took out a magnifying glass and started looking over my face. Not at something I was there for, just all over my face. While doing this he is rattling off technical words to the tech who was writing everything down as he said it. Apparently he believes I have rosacea. For which he did not offer to treat me. Weird. If you catch that early it's treatable. He wasn't even sure at first it is rosacea and after dictating to the tech for a while changed his diagnosis to 'just make down rosacea' but then no treatment plan was offered. Once done with that he stood up asked what skin care I used and offered a cream for a secondary issue I was there for. My primary issue is a concern for skin cancer. He completely ignored that. I pointed it out. He ignored it again. I pointed it out again. He side stepped. I insisted he address it and he described how 'sometimes' a condition will occur and then described to me a pre-cancerous condition that is exactly what I had described to him at the beginning. He didn't tell me he didn't think it was an issue or he thinks it's something else or address the spot on my face in any way at all. He just kept avoiding the discussion until I forced the issue. I felt so uncomfortable with the experience after a few days I called the office and spoke to someone about my concerns. They assured me the treatment was the usual method and they would speak to the PA and get back to me. They never called me back, but the PA called and left me a voice message saying if I didn't understand the treatment to call him back. I do understand the treatment. I just want to know what is being done to improve this practitioners ability to treat patients. To respect their concerns. To communicate better. He treated me like a bug under a microscope then tried to walk out of the room as soon as his examination was complete. He was literally backing toward the door as he tried to end the appointment before I had gotten answers. I never received a call back from the person I spoke with and at this point I have lost all confidence in this group. On top of that, my insurance denied the claim. Great.

Yeah I'm a sunscreen freak now! It's safe to say my skins been through hell. I never really got into skincare until about sometime right before I hit my 30's. I walked in for a consultation with Jill, who sadly is no longer with them. She was/is fantastic! I got a laser package and since that day I have had absolutely no regrets! While the laser treatments were great, Jill made it worth every penny. She was not only very supportive, but she was also like having that great friend you need when you lose faith in yourself. The laser treatments do a lot, but it also depends on who's behind it or wielding it hahaha. My skin and my mental health got better in the time that I met her and did the laser treatments. I did meet the doctor once as well there and while it was tough love, it was much needed. Having bad skin is definitely draining and it makes it hard to talk to people or feel worth anything sometimes. I know that's how I felt at least. Now I just have simple skincare with sunscreen as the only extra thing I wear everyday and I'm confident going out like that. My skins not 100% but after the extensive damage I've done to it that isn't surprising. I plan to get more laser work done when I can. I won't be going here for it and I can't speak on who is there now, but my experience was way better than I thought honestly. Especially with all gimmicks and things to try and make money out there.

No one closely looked at my face or scars when I came in for the consult. One person looked at my face without any type of magnifier, just across the desk from where i shelled out 2,400 bucks because I was told the treatment works for scars. I will post my complaint nand pictures to as many media outlets possible to save others from the same predicament and to tell how SkinMD remedies this if at all. I'm sure the Neogen Plasma works, but no one should be sold something that has no value to them. Finally, The procedure was painful. The gel used supposedly has anesthetic/ numbing properties, yet it was less than 10 seconds between applying it and hitting my skin with the treatment wand. Maybe because it was Friday at 5pm and the technician was in a hurry to get done for the week that the few seconds to let me numb up a bit were not spared? My eyelashes got singed along with some of my hairline, red raw skin spots resulted and remained raw for 4 weeks after treatment.. Evidently these areas were done "extra" ; around my scars and in random areas that seem more like errors in the procedure than purposeful. The raw skin I don't think healed better with the 100 dollar plus after treatment cream they insisted worked wonders. I hope to get a refund at the least. I will post what happens at my follow up.... .

I met with Dr. Javid Calcatti for a consultation about my concerns (mild wrinkles and dredded eye bags). I was given some options....with NO pressure, which I appreciated. In the end, I used my gift and purchased an additional 10 units of Xeomin. Dr. Calcatti was gentle and explained risks and time frames....and I'll be back in 2 weeks to discuss fillers! Overall, I would recommend.

This was for three cool sculpting sessions I spent over $5,000 on a treatment that was completely ineffective. When I asked the med spa to consider a partial refund, there was no willingness to discuss it--instead, I was pressured to purchase additional treatments. When I requested a full refund, I was told that results were "not guaranteed." I have filed a report with the Rhode Island Attorney General's Consumer Affairs Division because I believe the marketing surrounding these services is misleading. I hope others read this and avoid wasting their time and money as I did. As an aside, the doctor also provided three sessions of Emsculpt, which were equally ineffective--I get a better workout doing regular crunches.
