So I drove 45 minutes there to get it I get there guy says yeah we have a picture of it it's black in the back go this way and this way. So that's what I do they knowingly didn't tell me the frame was on the ground and I couldn't access the bolt I needed. They proceeded to tell me it was a 50 dollar minimum for them to put a forklift under it after I had already drove 45 minutes there. Which yk if they woulda said 20 or 25 I would have said yes because time is money but 50 dollars for 2 dollars in propane and a person being missing for 15 minutes is worth 50 dollars? No way will I ever be coming back to this yard.

This morning I took my 2008 Nissan Versa into the Nissan dealership in Brandon for an oil change…read moreand because it was making a very loud noise/rattling. I normally don't get my oil changed at a dealership, but because of the noise I thought it would be a good idea to take it there plus it's very close by. Now, when I got there they were great. They listened to me and I explained that my car sounded more like my husband's sports car with an aftermarket exhaust on it - not the way my car should sound - and so I thought it was likely an issue with the muffler. I was thinking that maybe I'd hit a bump on a road and popped something loose. I dropped my car off and did a little research on issues with my make and model. Apparently the metal used for the exhaust and muffler has a tendency to rust over (which is an issue in and of itself) and people have had to get them replaced sooner rather than later. People were saying that it was generally a $400-$500 fix, so I was bracing myself for the worst. About five hours later I got a phone call saying that, yes, my exhaust was in fact rusted and broken and that it would be $2,200 to fix it. Now, this is about 25% of the value of my car so naturally I freaked out. Fortunately my husband is fairly handy with cars and had actually changed out his own exhaust on his car when he got it, but since we live in an apartment complex it's been more difficult for him to do auto work. He said that he thought he could get the complete system for under $400 and replace it himself. He ended up calling Huff Muffler in Brandon and talking to the guy there. He explained it as best he could not having seen anything more than the photos that Nissan took and emailed to me so that I could send them to him at work. He told my husband to bring it in and that it was likely going to be about $100, but at most $250 to repair the exhaust. I took it in and showed them the pictures. They said it would be a $40 fix and would take them less than 30 minutes to fix. Nissan wanted to replace the entire system when only one part needed to be repaired. My car sounds perfect again. They do all kinds of repairs and maintenance including oil changes and what not. They are family owned and operated and they are AWESOME. I highly, highly recommend them.
