Always friendly and helpful. We have bought many appliances from them and won't go anywhere else.

She was the only one working in the store and not only attended to us but she attended to others that came in and also took payments at the same time. We received our furniture and the delivery guys were from the Jesup store. The locking mechanism on our sectional was broken and would not lock. I was told after the attemp by the delivery person to take a hammer to it that the new piece that was ordered was damaged when they received it so the store manager Sandy had them take the floor model piece from the store as a replacement. To me this is passing off a used (and broken) piece of furniture off as new with no notice. The dust cover on the bottom of the sectional was hanging off of the armed couch and stuffing is coming out of that piece as well. I contacted the manager who just said we will order you a new one and rushed me off the phone with no concern or apology. This after I had to call as I never heard when the couch would be delivered and I had to call to ask... Sandy. It is a huge and expensive sectional... beware... seems like this store has issues and takes no accountability nor try to make it right with no real concern for customer.satisfaction. Glory is the only one in the store (at least that I encountered) who was helpful and should be applauded for her work. If a customer orders something new maybe it should be given new... because that is what is paid for. Sandy needs some customer service and management skill training. Hey, Kevin Hartly (owner) word of mouth is imperative to a businesses success. Trying to pass off used furniture.. sending damaged furniture makes this shopper unwilling to recommend the Brunswick store. I'll be waiting for my "new" couch. And maybe having management follow up so i know what is going on would be a great idea. No one likes to be kept guessing. I should also mention we had been in the store twice before.our purchase. Looking at a very large electric sectional with another sales person that was not plugged in. When my husband asked.if it could be plugged in so we could check it out we were told they would have to get someone else to do.it the next day and we could come back. My husband had to plug it in for himself havint to find the cord and find the plug. Really. I will say the delivery guys from the Jesup store were very nice and embarrassed for the issues.

Sweat's Furniture - Damage caused by a pet. Warranty policy is supposed to cover (according to Sweat's salesperson) ...... denied. Almost 300 wasted.

As a result, I can't afford to spend retail prices for furniture or appliances (or anything, for that matter). When we need furniture, we comparison shop all over Glynn County, even going to Jesup (no bargains there). Since 2001, I have bought literally thousands of dollars of new furniture from Mr. Ward Sweat, the owner of Sweat's furniture. We even custom ordered two sectional sofas through Sweat's, and the pricing was impossible to beat. Mr. Sweat is an honest man, and I just called and bought a king bed set and frame at an unbeatable price. One time, I bought a stained floor model LAZY-BOY recliner for only $100 cash, and I still enjoy sitting in it (even though it had a stain on the back.) I have NEVER had an unsatisfactory experience with Mr. Sweat or his staff, and I am happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a good value furniture store. Also, at least with bedding, they offer free delivery, free set-up, and free removal, which is very important to us because we live in Decatur and can't always be there. The other thing I like is that Sweat's is a family business and not a chain based in Hong Kong or somewhere. Signed, John Adams of Decatur, Georgia. ****************

I purchased the warranty and since then have made 3 claims on it. Every single one was denied. I called Sweat's to resolve and was just given the run around. Obviously they just got their money and didn't care about the aftermath. To all my fellow Cops, Firemen, Medical responders, FLETC, and citizens...do not purchase from Sweats. It's about time businesses like this are held accountable. Do not expect a call back from management/owner either.

They had a little of everything here. I didn't see tile or flooring like I do at home, but it may be hit or miss. They had tubs, toilets, sinks, vanities, doors, windows, home decor, furniture, lighting, etc. They had more household goods than I see at other stores, so it's a thrift shop too. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. They had 30% off the first week I was there, and 40% off the next week when I returned. I was told the manager usually does a whole-store sale instead of rotating department-only sales like at home. That was great! Items looked fairly priced to me. Some seemed high, some were great deals, but overall a fair price. Remember that manager discount really makes it a much better price too! I saw a lot of cool games, sport items, and some of the light fixtures were awesome and I wish I'd driven down to take them home. I'm sure there are different great finds every time you visit. We visited to check it out to compare to ones at home, and I was surprised to see a few toys, which my son immediately begged to get. First thought was they can't go home on the plane, but for $1 to get a sturdy big bucket ($5 new at Walmart), and $1 for a tractor trailer truck... minus 30% off everything in store, came to $1.50 with tax. Why not? We just donated it back at the end of our stay. I also donated the new unused rolls of paper towels, tp, rubbing alcohol, tissues, and excess Easter egg hunt prizes we couldn't take with us. They can always use this stuff in the bathroom or wherever. Just a thought to all the vacation renters nearby who have to leave things behind. I'm sure the cleaning people have seen so much of it they just throw it out, but it could go to a thrift store or food bank in Brunswick.
